Where do you think past characters are as of today based on their last appearances in game(s)? What do you think they are up to? It can be protagonist, antagonist, side character, doesn't matter. Let's speculate.

 

Niko Bellic - By the time GTA IV ended, Niko had enough money to live comfortably the rest of his life. He tied up loose ends, found the man he was looking for, made a few new friends, and silenced his enemies. That said, I feel like Niko probably invested some money into Roman's cab depot, bought himself a little house in Algonquin, and lives a quiet life. I kind of think of Niko as Leon The Professional or something, but not an active hitman anymore.

I imagine Niko still keeps in touch with some of his old buddies, namely Little Jacob, Dwayne, and Packie by phone since he was last seen in Los Santos. Niko most likely helps Roman with the business as a part time driver just to stay occupied.

 

 

(Yes I know about the Lifeinvader page in GTA V saying Niko lives in Broker and drives for Roman, but I'm not counting that.)

Claude Speed (GTA2)- After taking out the 9 gang leaders of Anywhere City, he goes into hiding to evade City riots, he moves to San Andreas and continues to rampage.

 

Claude (GTA III)- Still alive to this day, however after many arrests, he flees to another city, rumors say he moved to Los Santos.

 

Tommy Vercetti- Although Tommy is retired and some of his properties have gone out of business, his Criminal empire still remains strong.

 

Carl Johnson- He continues to expand his businesses and the Grove Street gang, after taking over all of Los Santos, he is expanding GSF to Las Venturas.

 

Toni Cipriani- After the Leone's struggled to stay alive, Toni died of a heart attack in 2006, a year later the Leone's were no more.

 

Victor Vance- Murdered in a Drug deal with the Forelli Gang, Suffered many Bullet wounds, you still hear about his Legendary take over from Cubans and other Street gangs.

 

Niko Bellic- (Revenge) Niko has retired from the life of crime, he is now a peaceful man, and now helps Roman with his Taxi Business.

 

(Deal) After Roman's death, Niko had mostly retired from the life of crime, he does the occasional Grand theft auto here and there, but nothing too seriously, eventually moved to Los Santos for a new start.

 

Johnny Klebitz- Moved back to San Andreas to join the Los Santos chapter of the Lost MC after the Lost MC Liberty City Chapter had Perished, he became addicted to Meth and was eventually killed by a drunken methhead somewhere in the Desert.

 

Luis Lopez- Stays at Liberty City to be with his friends and family, he still helps out Henrique and Armando with Drug wars and is one of the best fighters in the L.C cage fighters.

[Peppa Pig]

Carl got killed by mafia. He is dead by the time of Liberty City Stories.

Tommy was taken down by rivals before 1998.

Claude was murdered by Leone hitmen under the lead of Toni Cipriani.

Victor's death is already known.

Toni died in a shootout with police in 2003.

Claude: Not sure, I always thought he would've been killed by the Leones, but Rockstar says he probably still alive. I thought of a good theory. He did kill Maria. Joey Leone never liked the Leone Family scene, after Salvatore was killed, he fled to Vice City as he was next in line for Don but didn't really want to contribute. Claude got with Misty and returned back to Claude's hometown, San Fierro, to start a new life.

 

Tommy: After killing Sonny Forelli, he finally gave Mercedes a chance. He really liked her and even considered starting a family. Ken got clingy and his cocaine addiction got worse. Tommy sent him to Fort Carson Medical Centre. After marrying Mercedes, and having his first child, he began to sell some of his business, not all of them though. They had another kid and they moved out of the Vercetti Estate, also disbanding the Vercetti Gang. He got out of the crime scene and layed low with his family.

 

CJ: A month or two after killing Smoke and Tenpenny, Big Bear got out of rehab. CJ, Sweet, Kendl, Cesar, Truth, Madd Dogg, Kent Paul, Maccer, Ken and Big Bear went on tour. After a few months on tour, they return to see Grove Street has been taken over by Ballas in their absence. They let them be and set up in Inglewood and surrounding areas. CJ and his family and friends get their criminal records completely removed. He then goes on to write an autobiography. He goes on to start a family with only one child, Carl Johnson Jr.

 

Mike: Living the life in Colombia with all of Vinnie's money.

 

Toni: After Salvatore is killed, Joey Leone has went into hiding (read Claude). Toni then becomes Don of the Leone Family. I always thought that Toni and Toshiko would've been a good couple, but we all know what happened to Toshiko, so that's out. He probably started a small family and continued his life as the Don of the Leone family.

 

Vic: Dead. He didn't 'somehow survive' or 'fake his death', he's dead. Enjoying the afterlife with Louise and Lance.

 

Niko:

I believe that 'Revenge' is the canonical ending, but I don't want to start a debate. Your opinion is right. Niko and Roman both by homes next door to eachother in Broker. Niko drops the criminal life, and works full time for Bellic Enterprises, also rebuilding the cab depot in Hove Beach. In 2009, Mallorie gives birth to a girl. The girl is named Kate. Niko keeps in contact with Little Jacob, Dwayne and Brucie also. The next year Niko begins to date Alejandra, (the girl from the [email protected] internet cafe in Broker). He really likes her and gets married the next year. Roman has another kid. Niko has one child and the two families continue their lives in Broker.

 

Johnny: Same case as Vic. He didnt survive or fake his death, he is dead. Bringing trouble in the afterlife with Jim, Terry and Clay.

 

Luis: He hasn't settled down yet and doesn't plan to any time soon. He becomes in charge of Maisonette 9 with the financial support of Yusuf Amir.The Hercules nightclub is bought by Bryce Dawkins and Bernie Crane. He keeps in touch with Armando and Henrique. They both made quite a bit of money off of Drug Wars, They both bought apartments in North Holland and kept their eye on the deals in the area. Similar to Playboy X's role. Tony flew to Vice City. (I hope we see Tony in GTA VI, he was a good character).

Niko Bellic (Deal): Commits suicide by hanging himself from the East Borough Bridge.

 

CJ: Was followed up by the FIB and was sentenced to death on the charges of police

 

Tommy Vercetti: Was shot in the head by Sonny Forelli.

 

Claude: Started a career in phonesex.

 

Franklin: Ate chips.

Claude: More than likely left town, seeing as everyone wants to kill him.

Tommy: Continued to run his empire, but eventually loses contact with Ken. By 2016 he's retired and lives on a private island somewhere.

CJ: Leaves the gang life and currently runs his various businesses.

Toni: After GTA III he probably helps to run what is left of the Leone Family.

Vic: Dies in '86

Niko: He's left the criminal lifestyle behind, and currently trying to live a normal life with Roman.

Johnny: Dies

Luis: Continues working for Tony, but leaves the criminal lifestyle behind.

Claude: Left LCS, probably laying-low or dead. Might had a son (GTA Online character development, but this is inconsistent since the 3D and HD are not tied) so let's say he's laying low.

Tommy: Died for natural causes or killed.

Carl: Quited the gang banging stuff a little bit, totally focused on the manager work. I think he's dead too, executed by the Ballas or the mafia. His head had a price.

Toni: Probably laying low, or killed since the Leone weakening.

Victor: Died in 1986, in VC introduction.

 

 

HD Era:

 

Niko: Gained enough money to do not work as a criminal anymore, he's living a peaceful life with his cousin. Maybe he's father now. (He appears as father in GTA Online character development)

Johhny: Living a peaceful life on Trevor's boot.

Luis: Still working on the nightspots, keep sending money to his Mom's.

Franklin: After robbing the Union Depository and taking out the loose ends (I think the option "C" is canon), he didn't work like a criminal no more and he lived a cool life on Vinewood.

Michael: Same as Franklin. He's worrying about his family and mostly of his psychological problems are gone.

Trevor: Doing his own on Trevor Phillips Enterprises and crazy life.

Tommy: Fib gather evidence on him. But thanks to his relationships he make a deal with them. He moved to Vinewood with his bodyguard Mario, wife Mercedes and his kids.

CJ:Get killed by car bomb placed in his Fletzer by Toni Cipriani

Toni:After the Salvatore death he tried to get rid of Joey and became a don. But one day Joey walk to the villa with his allies. Toni defend them but died due to injures.

Mike:Get lost in Colombia becouse he didn't speak in their f*cking language

Niko:Working in Romans Cab Service

Luis:Revive a knife in his back while faighting in the boxing club by one of the gamblers.

Huang:Became the leader of Traiads in LC

Trevor:Get killed by Michael and Frank

Maccer: Died of a sudden cardiac arrest while wanking, 2007.

 

Mallorie Bellic: Got a job at Roman/Niko's cab company. Still great friends with Niko.

 

Mrs. McReary: Died of ovarian cancer, sometime after 2014.

 

Angus Martin: Blown up by Trevor Phillips after Johnny's death, 2013.

 

Umberto Robina: Got killed in a Haitian drive-by, 1998.

 

Mori Kibbutz: Bad real estate deal, goes bankrupt. Commited suicide in 2012.

 

Lester Crest: Died of diabetes, 2014.

Niko(deal):Takes Roman's child as his surrogate child and is helping Mallorie raising her, once the child is old enough to not need babysitting, he set a nice sum of cash that he had no will to spend with himself, so he gives it all to Mallorie, then he takes another both to out of the country, he might come back to the old country and stay with his mother.

 

Niko(revenge): Helps his cousin in maintaining his business going, while also helping with raising Roman's child, he tries some online dating with other women but eventually realizes that they all are vain, so once Roman's kid is old enough he gives all the remaining money he had to Roman and goes back to his old country.

 

Johnny: Dead;

 

Luis: Helps Tony in making their nightclubs big in LC again, making a lot of money in the process while also trying to maintain a good relationship with his mother, eventually gets a sh*t ton of STD because he can't keep it in his pants XD;

 

Michael: Became a billionaire and then realized that all the money he earned was unneeded, so he buys all the cinemas in the city, the golf club and the sonar docks, and then invests the rest on the stock marke, only to lose it all again, but now he decides to just try to be a better parent and resolve his family issues;

 

Frankling: Billionaire, ows the cab company, tow truck company, that LSC on sale and all the bars on sale around the city, he has a sh*t ton of money but with nothing interesting to spend on it, so he decides to create a community center in the hood to help children out of life of crime, and employs Lamar to help him in maintaining the center.

 

Trevor: Dead, burned to a crisp.

GTA London Protagonists: They're probably dead.

Claude Speed: Probably went into hiding following his days of being an all-around bada**. 2014, 2000, four weeks into the future, anyone's guess is as good as mine.*

3D Universe

Claude: Probably left Liberty City, as everyone was basically out to nab him.

Tommy: Probably still rules Vice City, with just not as much of an "iron fist" as back in the '80s, though.

Carl Johnson: I'd think he's either still a major game-changer with the Grove Street Families or maybe he's dead. Given the events of San Andreas, it seems like a major retcon as to how nobody even references him

in Liberty City Stories or III.

Toni Cipriani: Either he's still a momma's boy, still the "new" boss of the Leones, or dead.

Vic Vance: All thanks to Ricardo Diaz, this dude went down in a blaze of glory before Tommy's rise to power.

HD Universe

Niko Bellic: If Niko did the Deal, he's probably back in Eastern Europe, with his friendships closed on good terms. If he chose to kill Dimitri then kill Pegorino, he's probably still helping out his friends.

Johnny Klebitz: All thanks to his rather p***-poor decision making following the events of TLaD, and the mighty boot of you know who, he's dead.

Luis Fernando Lopez: I'm going to go on a limb here, but Luis is probably dead. Even with all of his gadgets and cool toys, Luis is kind of a chump compared to the other GTA protagonists. I think that his friends would

betray him after the events of the game.

Huang Lee: Probably dead, considering that the Triads is one of the most futile gangs in the series.

Franklin Clinton: If Franklin chooses A or B, he'll go back to being just another face in the crowd. If he chooses C, I think his friendship with Trevor and Michael will just start to become truly fruitful, now that their enemies

are out of the way.

Michael De Santa: If Franklin chooses A or B, either Michael goes back to being someone with a dysfunctional family, or he's dead. If Franklin chooses C, his friendship with Trevor and Franklin will just start to become fruitful.

Trevor Philips: If Franklin chooses A or B, either he's dead or it's business as usual down in Sandy Shores. If Franklin chooses C, I think that Franklin and Michael go on to help Trevor in his business and finally realize their true potential.

GTA Online Protagonist: Given how all "high and mighty" the Online protagonist is during the events of Online, if the only reference to the person is Lester saying a rather inaccurate statement (suggesting Lester doesn't

truly know what happened to them), then the Online Protagonist is probably dead. My guess on this? Probably taken out by Merryweather.

 

Until Rockstar makes official clarification on any of these guys (besides Vic and Johnny), we will never truly know.

 

*- In reference to how either GTA 2 is set in 2013, 1999 or three weeks into the future. Me? I'm part of the 2013 crowd.

Claude - dead. pissed off way too many people to have a happy ending. dont exactly imagine him outside raking the leaves in front of a peaceful suburban home while inside Maria bakes a pie.

 

Tommy - Getting older now, in his 60s at least. Semi-retired, probably running Vercetti gang like a Godfather, maybe starting to think about who he will eventually hand the business over to. Mostly legit by this point, but still manages to get into some trouble now and then like the old days.

 

CJ - Now CJ i can see in the suburbs, like franklin and lamar said "probably coaching little league by now or something". perfect description for how he probsbly ended up.

 

Toni - Dead im sure, either by another family, an internal struggle with Joey to control the Leones, or even just a hear attack. If not, still living with his mother who is now ancient but still kicking and still miserable.

 

Vic - probably a skeleton by this point.

 

Niko - another guy who id imagine eventually settles down in the suburbs, tries to hide his past from his family but probably suffers from PTSD or something from everything thats happened to him.

 

Huang Lee - Rich as hell playboy running the triad, either in LC or in China.

 

Johnny - See Vic.

 

Luis Lopez - Probably still in LC, still working in the nightclub scene. Maybe with a club of his own now. Perhaps even Maisonette, inhereted from "Tone" after he left LC for good.

 

Michael - still fighting with his bitchy ass family, except now theyre incredibly rich. maybe got a book deal or a movie deal options to his memoirs

 

Franklin - Still sitting in his big empty mansion eating chips and ironing his clothes.

 

Trevor - Dead, I hope.

Tracey DeSanta - Went to college, drop out of college, used family connections to become a low level movie starlet.

Toni: Retired as well. Before he retired though, I think he eventually becoming the Don of Leone (after Joey).

Niko: I believe Revenge is the cannon ending. Still running the cab with Roman.

 

Johnny: Dead

 

Luis: Still working at Maissonete 9. He works for Yusuf now.

 

Michael: A Movie's producer.

 

Franklin: Probably becoming Michael's personal assistant in Movie Studios.

 

Trevor: Trying to expand Trevor Phillips Industries.
