Friendly and non-friendly lobbies are a must

Like I said earlier, not one person has a legitimate argument as to why we shouldnt have friendly lobbies. They lost the debate.

R* has the only argument that counts....its too expensive given the games architecture

It's a sandbox, while YOU may choose to PvP/Grief MANY others don't, so stop trying to shut down this idea which isn't affecting you in ANY WAY.

If there were friendly lobbies it would be one more reason for the cupcakes to whine because they would be empty.

Doubt they woud be that empty...there are more people interested in cruising, just killing npcs and car shows then there are prople interested in free aim...if thats what you mean.

Also whatever rockstar does there will always be atleast someone bitching and moaning anyhow...nothing to do about it, deal with it

 

Though....i can't seem to think the ones moaning the most woud be passive mode abusers and people killing low levels and killing people with low killdeath ratios.

Incorrect. I spend 99% of the time in passive because I simply don't like to deal with having to watch my back constantly for someone with an inferiority complex to come along and prove himself, or better yet "troll" by simply killing over and over when I have zero interest.

 

On the other hand, I don't enjoy being a phantom:

I don't enjoy not being able to counter cops, angry peds, or gangs.

I don't enjoy driving through other cars and players.

I don't enjoy not being able to see them fully, it's visually annoying.

I don't enjoy not being able to take part in freemode events (which, when joining, should remove "passive" for everyone involved in PvP events).

 

Friendly-fire off would simply make it more enjoyable, and allow myself and others who like the open world aspect to be a little more social without having to wonder if this particular person is the one who's got to prove the magnitude of his epeen.

Invite only fixes most of this.

No, it fixes exactly none of it, it simply removes the entire social aspect completely.

 

See, I suspect that Rockstar assumed that it's playerbase would enjoy this massive, open, and social construct they created. They expected that people would log in, socialize, and enjoy each others' company besides simply trying to pad their epeen via "KDR," and they designed it specifically for that purpose with the inclusion of fun activities like Simeon cars or armoured trucks to encourage the occasional PvP (becuase yes, when it's sporadic it is fun), and then things like 1:1 death matches to handle the grievance process.

 

What they completely missed was the fact that their gameworld would immediately be populated by chodes who did everything in their power to turn "freeroam" into a 16 player, map wide deathmatch. Shame on them for missing the obvious fact that people are incapable of doing anything that doesn't devolve into violence and power displays, but that's irregardless.

 

So, for those of us who'd like to enjoy the concept that was presented in the original launch trailer of 16 32 player, interactive, worlds we'd like a no-PvP lobby. It doesn't bother me that it'd likely be less populated by PvP lobbies, because the bulk of the people who would be there are those I'd generally rather hang out with anyways.

 

It'd be worth it simply so I don't need to be passive 99% of the time or wonder when some neckbeard is going to do strafing runs out of his jet, which, let's be honest here, requires about as much skill as pissing into a toilet and not completely missing.

 

I know this whole thing is like your schtick, and you can't lapse from your carefully constructed tough guy persona, so this is all more-or-less wasted on you, anyways, but I can't help but to wonder if there's not a little part of you that's actually upset you'd lose the easy targets that simply don't care to play your version of this game.

 

Anyways, waiting anxiously for your next tough guy oneliner, don't let me down.

Just thought of it, You guys that want to play and explore peacefully have the perfect option, its called CAMPAIGN mode. Passive mode wasn't good enough and I have no idea why, You still shoot and kill cops and die in passive mode. You just cant kill other players and other players cant kill you. I see passive mode players together all the time showing off their cars, cruising around peacefully. Its already set up and complainers don't see it.
