There is a small chance that my jet explode or become damaged when I looking at the friend's list. This error also happened to me in PS3. And the error is also present in PS4. With the ability to take videos in PS4, i take this:

 

 

Has anyone else experienced this bug?

 

The thing that causes the explosion/damage is this:

Not this but I've had a jet i was looking at, not in it but looking at it, explode when i hit passive mode. It killed the pilot.

Yes, happened to me about half a dozen times on PS3. A few times my Lazer got slightly destroyed like yours in the video, or it just completely exploded, killing me...

 

A fellow pilot/friend of mine "A Paradox from 1994" told me about the bug when it happened to me while I was in a lobby with him. This was a very long time ago, so I guess the bug has been around forever!

My hydra got "reposesed" while I was standing near it last night. Later on I jumped in it. All seemed fine untill the engine cut... Crashed. Silly repossession rubbish.

You need to know that your initial contact with any kind of tech support is not with the smart people in the back room. Answer politely (pissing off a tech support drone is not the best way to the back room people) and tell them that not any of the suggestions worked. Keep doing this until the drone runs out of articles from the in house tech support database. Eventually, you'll get back room people on it. Just make sure you always reply, or the drone will close the ticket.

This has existed forever, as far as I know.

When the game spawns in your friends on the friends list, it's actually, for a fraction of a second, loading them into the game world just in front of you and not rendering them.

I sometimes use this to mess with my friends when we're in helicopters together.

Clearly this some sort of anti jet griefer mechanism. Fantastic addition.

 

And they didn't leave, you lagged out.

Before i knew that Dukes becomes available for purchase in SP after you complete the random event with the Dukes O'Death, i was informed and asured by C* Support that the Dukes and Dukes O'Death both were removed from SP by C*, they really don't know what the f*ck they are talking about.

the funniest part of that is, that is the response they give for just about every problem, and 2 years and 4 months later has it fixed any issues? probably not...

 

and I really don't know why any of the bugs/glitches surprise anyone anymore seeing as this game is basically one big glitch. This is just another one that will probably never get fixed.

it pretty much seems like they were not trained very well and has caused Rockstar Support to be pretty much non-existent. About a year ago, myself and another player caught Rockstar Support in a lie when they gave us contradicting answers for the same issue (we both had cars that we could not sell - no sell option at all when going into LSC with these cars - Coquette Topless for me and Adder for the other player). We were never able to figure out which one of us they actually lied to, but when we brought the contradicting answers up to Rockstar Support they did everything possible to avoid the question and never once gave either of us a straight answer.

 

I don't think that they actually read the whole support ticket either. I have an open one right now, and gave them all the info required to get it dealt with, and two responses from Rockstar Support and 8 days later they ask me for the same info already attached to and included in the support ticket...

The video that you have shown us simply demonstrates an in-game safety feature. You have to land your P-996 Lazer in GTA Online when wishing to view your friends list, as reading whilst flying a heavily weaponised military vehicle is extremely unsafe and inadvisable, and should be avoided. This exciting game enhancement has been painstakingly developed to ensure the safety of other players in the session, as well as any nearby flying NPC character vehicles.

...Not to mention the clearly illegitimate money with the bulletproof helmet on the character.

Don't know about exploding when looking on the friends list, but have noticed a bug that you exit a Hydra and it suddenly explodes with no apparent reason. Have experienced it two/three times the last 3 months.

 

Also got shot down by ship defences, while no ship was visible in contact missions.

All I see is someone who can only use jets to combat players and illegitimately earned money. You clearly deserved more than lagging out and getting blown up.
