Mission Variety...I never felt like I was doing the same thing over and over

Dialogue...Some of the funniest dialogue in a GTA game. Lamar is especially funny

Bottom 5

 

Heist setup missions are too short

Weak antagonists. The biggest disappointment is Madrazo

Los Santos should have been bigger

Top:

 

1. The amazing graphics on LG. And it works without a single lag.

2. The seamless passing between night and day.

3. How lights of cars and shops look at night.

4. Variety of cars and guns.

5. The way police searches for you

 

Bottom:

1. How fast you get 2 stars. The police doesn't try to catch you.

2. Spawning rate of the police.

3. Shooting mechanics.

4. Lack of activities to do after the game

5. The city feels kind of empty. Also like Nuke Town of Black Ops.

Top 5 V :

 

1. Amazing graphics and visual effects with stunning detail

2. Cars, and car customization

3. Mission variety

4. Large map with underwater sections

5. Large variety of weapons

 

Bottom 5 V :

 

1. Weak, boring, and short main story

2. Poorly written and created protagonists/characters

3. Lack of decent crime-related side missions and other activities

4. Relatively low number of interiors and lots of wasted space on map

5. Too much focus on on Online MP, with SP getting less decent content and features.

Top:

Graphics are nice and visual effects are good too (especially the lightning)

Ability to customize cars

Addition of animals

Return of the garage to store vehicles instead of that dreaded parking space in IV

The idea of multiple protagonists was nice

Bottom:
Combat physics suck real bad (both firearms and melee)

Vehicle performance also sucks (super hella formula 1 grip to driving on Ice instantly. Stiff as a board suspension. Cars (especially DLC) barely deform anymore)

Cops and the wanted system seem like no one put too much thought into them

Map space is utilized very poorly. Small city. Big, empty countryside. And a vast ocean of nothingness

Huge lack in side jobs and stuff to do other than the story

I totally forgot to mention in my post how much Online kills the series, as I don't really count it as "GTA V"... edited.

Top:

 

1. The map, especially the countryside and ocean (it has its flaws, but as it is, it's gorgeous and lots of fun to just cruise around in)

2. Michael (one of my favorite protagonists ever, not just in GTA but any game, period)

3. The soundtrack (especially Space, West Coast Classics, The Lowdown and Radio Mirror Park, and I haven't heard much of The Lab yet but I prefer it to Radio Los Santos)

4. Vehicle/character/weapon customization

5. Good mission variety

(Honorable mention: Chop. Chop is my homeboy.)

 

Bottom:

 

1. Lack of real criminal side activities

2. Most of the story after Trevor comes to Los Santos (almost everything before that point was a blast, but afterward, it really does become an inconsistent mess)

3. Most of the characters are annoying as f*ck

4. The waaaay overdone humor and satire

5. Some of the physics and mechanics feel dumbed down from IV.

- Rubbish choice of content in the form of side activities. It hurts my brains to see not a single interesting stuff engaging and worth playing. Crime related activities have hit a new low with hardly any meaningful missions or action packed to even bother mentioning

- Boring, empty, and lonely feeling of existing in this big open world with hardly anything interesting to interact, spend time, and/or just creating random fun.

Here's Mine;

 

Top 5;

 

1. Ability to easily set up Additional, and Fully Functional, Police & Emergency Vehicles. (Modding)

2. Excellent Soundtracks (CG/PC) on Los Santos Rock Radio, West Coast Classics, and Rebel Radio.

3. The Visuals, and Weather.

4. The Road Lane Design.

5. Well designed Freeway Interchanges, and On/Off Ramps.

 

Bottom V;

 

1. 'Blind' Focus on Online, at the expense of the Single Player Game.

2. Questionable Development, including Police AI, Civilian AI, and Vehicle Handling.

3. The City being too small.

4. The Hybridised Metro System.

5. The overly exaggerated Turbulence when Flying.

- The better 25% of the soundtrack

- Rockstar's trademark obsession with detail

- The general vibe of Los Santos

- Lack of annoyances in driving and character control mechanics

- Online is fun

 

Bottom V:

- Lack of a proper Story DLC so far

- Too much emphasis on Online

- Not being able to track stunt jumps and bridges to fly under

- Character and story inconsistencies here and there

- Underwhelming ending

- Long shootouts that take place in buildings full of glass and corners.

- Michael's fam.

- Franklin's homies.

- Impoundment, double that in online.

- That mission where you control Chop.

- f*ckin' police.

Top:-

The Online heists are much better than the story heists.

Customization of cars, though the lack of storage space is a huge flaw.

Graphics, and weather effects.

Bottom:-

Wanted system. After playing the modded version the vanilla version feels absolutely inferior.

Lack of things to do. Although, its better than IV. Still, miles behind than SA.

1. The Hollywood crime movie atmosphere (particularly the soundtrack).

2. Story, dialogue and characters (Michael's arc and Lamar stand out).

3. HEISTS. Dear God the Heists.

4. Three character implementation.

5. Mission variety.

 

Bottom:

5. Dunno, I really like GTA V, so... the grass physics.

4. Not too many things to do after 100% completion. Should be way lower after introduction of Director Mode but I ran out of things to say.

3. The story being too short, which leads to problems in pacing at times.

2. Its antagonists. Maybe if the game had focused more on Haines he would have been as memorable as Tenpenny, but the short length and Weston being picked as main villain detracted from him. Madrazo also had a lot of untapped potential.

1. Episodes from Los Santos. As in, its non-existence.

-Huge map.

-More Vehicle variety (including the Lazer)

-Ragdoll button.

-Attacks with meele weapons feel more violent compared with the garbage we had in snore.

(Nah just kidding, i love IV)

 

 

Bottom V

 

-Weak gunplay.

-Car "Crashes"

-Weak story.

-No Stallion and Dukes on last gen (my favorite cars....fucc u C*)

-Michael and his family.
