Why are the heist payouts so sh*t?

Also, on the subject of making money, it's really f*cking dumb that you can't sell high end cars you find in traffic. If I find an Infernus I should be able to sell it for some nice extra cash. But no, ofcourse not. That would be too easy, right?

You can make good money selling cars if you know where the high dollar pre-modded ones spawn, or how to get them to spawn. A little bit of internet research is all it takes.

What I meant in general was that making money isn't as easy or some people as it is for others. Not sure about you, or anyone else on here for that matter, but in GTA Online on PC, practically every lobby is infested with a seemingly no-life script-kiddy. And as soon as the lobby of 25 or so people gets blown up by them, every single time, there's instantly a bunch of people (nearly 10, on average) begging for money.

If money was as easy as so many people claim it to be, there wouldn't be so many people begging for money. Sure, there will always be some beggers and people who simply can't play the game properly and thus cheat. But when nearly half the population is begging for money, perhaps people should see that making money isn't such an easy task for everyone. It's easy to say "that's what Shark Cards are for", but again, not everyone has spare cash to throw around for virtual money in a video game.

I personally don't cheat nor do I condone cheating. But like I said, with nearly 50% of GTA Online player base constantly begging for money from modders, one has to wonder if money really is all that easy for everyone to make.

I'm not suggesting that the payouts should be changed; I'm only pointing out the reality of the matter.

IMHO, I really like the way Rockstar designed DLCs. They are free, and those people that have time to really play the game can put the work in to buy the new stuff. Those that don't can buy shark cards which pay for development of the DLC. They aren't running Rockstar as a non-profit, so I don't think it would fair to ask them to release the DLCs for free without something to pay for it. Charging directly for DLCs would kill the game.

Just because there is a lot of cheating scumbags out there doesn't mean a thing.

Actually play the game, or buy shark cards. It's pretty straightforward.

Try grabbing them during a timelocked mission like Denial of Service.

you're not going to make $2mil a week playing a few precious spare hours.

well i just did...

im married, 3 kids and full time job(on-call 24/7) that gets to play maybe 2-3 hours a day.

so its possible to make a million or two.

like i said in other thread the problem is that people are too lazy and simply want stuff handed to them.

yeah this is absolutely true and almost the same for me. A nine to five office job, serious and regular badminton games and play GTAO 2-3 hours a day and make 1-1.5 million a week just playing daily objectives, freemode events, car sales, robbing all the stores and when my friends are online, we do heists. Even with just doing the normal routine, I steadily make money and get everything I want.

Let's see, going by normal averages, that is 8 hours work, 8 hours sleep, 3 hours on GTA, one of you has been here for the last 2 hours and the other fits in regular sports time. That doesn't even include any commute time usually associated with work or going to a sports venue. You guys should really be spending more than 2-3 hours a day with your families, especially with kids :p nvm, i'm sure you do, just giving you some sh*t. I agree that many cheaters are just lazy but surely you're not in agreement with R* that the lowriders DLC had nothing to do with the massive increase in hackers/modders/cheaters lately?

I thought the pay outs on Heists were pretty good....

probably the fastest way to make money if you have friends online often enough..

Just don't play them with randoms, with all the fails and trolls missions will make you money faster

Longevity

exactly....easy money = everything you want easy = time to enjoy/play the game, rather than grinding like a 9-5 job

Is that what you meant?

OT:

There's more ways to make money other than heists, I for one try to avoid anything that involves a loading screen or matchmaking, as time is money, and the time lost during these ageing processes equals about $6 billion.

Before updates I'd do things like hunt gang cars, simeon's cars, hit money vans the like, now there's so much more with the free roam updates - all without a single loading screen or sh*tty disconnection. Stay in FM - it's where we belong :)

How anyone could defend the payouts, I have no idea, but I agree with the OP that they are crap. They need to be increased at least a little.

I don't think the payouts on heists are crap. They're only crap if you and your crew are crap at doing them.

Try playing tennis or golf for an hour. They pay out nothing, and that is CRAP.

But there is another problem with heists. If you don't 'connect' with your crew, which happens from time to time, they're seriously boring - grinding away, sitting in cars, taking a back seat while you semi-participate in a bunch of pre-set missions against NPCs.

On the other hand, sometimes you do 'connect' with people and have a really good laugh.

I'm good at doing the heists, thanks, although occasionally you get an idiot that screws it up, but not too often luckily.

Tennis and Golf is a pointless thing to say as those are activities, not meant for making money.

I play with friends when they are on, but it's usually randoms and even with friends it STILL gets boring and pays crap.

Because with 3 competent friends you could make 2 million a week in no time.

Rockstar tricked them into believing the time payouts were fair and they seem to make heist payout look good.

Before the worst update in history of gta(flight school), you'll get 220,000 in 45mins.

lol that's because of the challenges, not the heists themselves though.

Also $12M goes by quickly lol

1-i post from my phone while at work.

2-i have sleeping issues, normally sleep around 4 hours, sometimes i sleep nothing for 2-3days.

3-like 85% of the time i work some 5-7miles from home so commute time is just like 20mins.

4-lowriders dlc had nothing to do with an increase if modders.

the modders have been an issue since day 1...2 years before the lowriders update was released!

just this past week i made over 2 millions without doing a single heist, just playing missions, freeroam events and stuff like that.

theres so many money making options, theres no need to grind or buy cashcard.

you just have to play the game.

as i said, i was talking about people with lives. i also make a fortune every week from just playing but i'm a lazy bastard with money so i can spend a lot of time playing. some people have jobs to go to, kids to look after or if they're younger, homework to do. you're not going to make $2mil a week playing a few precious spare hours. Please explain logically how anyone who doesn't have a ton of free time to play GTA should reap the same rewards and benefits of those who do have the time? You can't, because there is none. It's entitlement at it's best.

It's like saying the part-time burger flipper at BK should earn just as much as a full time doctor.

Can you give some more examples? I don't think I've ever seen a money van in GTA Online and robbing 24/7's is not worth the trouble for the sh*tty money it gives.
