Life Glug
Hi. I'm trying to understand the stock market systems in GTA5 single player. I understand that bawsaq is based on shared player data pooled on social club, and LCN is based on randomisation and your own actions only. I used this guide when I got to Lester's first assassination mission. It advises you to buy Beta Pharmacuticals (BET) on BAWSAQ before the mission and then sell them when they peak. Then buy Bilkington Pharmacuticals (BIL) on LCN and sell them when they recover. It works, as I'm sure most of you know. What I don't understand is: 1. Why are the two rival drug companies in The Hotel Assassination in the single player campaign on different stock markets? I thought LCN was meant to be about rivals, Bilkington Pharmacuticals' rival is Dollar Pills(DOP) so why wasn't the mission about helping DOP?2. If bawsaq is based on shared player data pooled on social club, why did my actions in The Hotel Assassination affect the price of Beta Pharmacuticals so much? Shouldn't it be a drop in the ocean?3. I don't really understand why BAWSAQ is in the single player campaign, I don't see how the two markets work together. I tried to see if the BAWSAQ stock values were the same in single player and online but the stock market is not available online at the moment. Thanks for any help. bitsandpieces
BAWSAQ requires an Internet Connection, LCN does not. So, in the event that some players do not have Internet, they still have the option to play around on the LCN, although, the final outcome in $ gain, will not be anywhere near what it could be with the added BAWSAQ. If you intend to continue the game after you complete the Story, and buy the properties for each character, then you will need the BAWSAQ, otherwise, there's no need for it. So, don't waste your brain cells in trying to figure out why, just play the game and try to have fun in doing so, and when you're done with the Story, ... Start allover, but this time play it in a different way, like: Use different weapons and tactics, change character etc... One answer is better than none? BTW: Welcome to the GTA Forums.
