So r* keeps doing these raffles that is semi convient for those in USA. But outside USA it's not for example 5pm est to us in jpn is 7am in the morning. That's one example another is 5pm est is 1:00 AM Saturday, in Saudi Arabia.

 

This isn't fair. Basically this raffle is for those living in USA.

 

I know some work and still that's wrong that you guys don't get a chance and we are in the same boat as you. But us folks from different parts of the world are sleeping by then do you think we are going to stay up at 1am or waking up at 6am for a stream?

 

This thing is unfair all around from people who are still at work and those who live on the other side of the world.

The second one is that you get all up in arms about some stupid digital shirt they are giving away by raffle, like you're entitled to it, they are just vanity items, you don't need to have them, there's no achievement to gain to get them, they unlock the shirt, and that's it. (heck most the time non-Twitch, real world item contests can't even be run outside the US because of taxation laws preventing that stuff, they get by this because they're giving away a digital item with no real value, as it can not be traded or sold to other players)

The third is that you posted your whining here, and thus pissed me off.

 

Seriously how can you be so f*cking entitled about a digital piece of nothing, sit down and have a long f*cking think for instance about all those kids who fled the war in Syria, and are now spending either their first, second, third, or even fourth winter in Refugee camps in neighboring countries, usually in nothing more then a bunch of drafty UN tents, they could probably use a few extra real world shirts, cause let me tell you, it does get cold there in the winter, and it does snow.

 

And you get angry about R* not catering to your timezone, well boo f*cking hoo, maybe it's convenient for them because it's the timezone they live in.

i did the raffle and it wasn't all that great. There's an average of 1500 viewers and only 50 winners are picked. Really sucks but if you think about it, everybody got the same opportunity equally. My opinion, its not the risk spending the night for some live stream. I thought it was a waist of my time unless good guests come up. If y'all who are curious doing this raffle, toward the end of the stream you have to type this : !raffle (enter gamertag) (enter platform) without the parenthesizes.

What the f*ck is a twitch raffle?

Rockstar sometimes uses Twitch to live stream the latest missions, races, captures ect for a 1 hour show on Fridays (10 PM in the UK 5 PM in the US) & they give away via a raffle 50 T-Shirts that are rare & won't be realised to the general GTA population. The odds of winning one are pretty low given thousands watch the stream & you have to be subscribed & enter in !raffle your console & username in the comments section when they tell you.

But wtf is twitch?

 

It's an online streaming service used by gamers to broadcast live streams like Playstations & Xboxes but bigger.

to be honest, i think they are just testing the waters with the shirts, in the not so distant future i can see them doing a raffle for a unique car.

i mean on the first day of the shirts raffle they had 6-7k viewers, i can see 2-3X the amount of viewers with something more noticeable like a car.

You now make me pray for it to happen with the "snow" vehicles like the snow rancher and other single player cars like the stock cars and dukes of death...

Obviously if we were face to face you couldn't literally give me a link. A link is not a physical object that you can hand over. It wasn't a literal state,net, but a figurative one. If we were face to face and I asked "what is something, you would be an asshole if you said "look it up". You would be an asshole if you pulled out your smartphone, searched Google, and handed me the phone. You would be an asshole if you did pretty much anything else besides say "I don't know" or "it's [whatever it is]".

 

Then you talk about "spending way less time". You're going to say that after you told me about all the effort you expended to do the search and give me the link? It was too late at that point to worry about saving time. If you wanted to save time, it would've been quicker to give a quick explanation like the one after yours, at which point it would've been over. what if r* starts doing this with cars/jets/ect. who say they wont stop there

to be honest, i think they are just testing the waters with the shirts, in the not so distant future i can see them doing a raffle for a unique car.

i mean on the first day of the shirts raffle they had 6-7k viewers, i can see 2-3X the amount of viewers with something more noticeable like a car.

You now make me pray for it to happen with the "snow" vehicles like the snow rancher and other single player cars like the stock cars and dukes of death...

If that ever happens im gonna buy some popcorn for real and watch the threads about it unfold

There are 24 time zones. No matter what it will still be inconvenient to someone. Just like when it snowed during Christmas and some people found it inconvenient as they were on vacation and couldn't enjoy it. You are incorrect. An answer to a question should contain the information that answers the question, not a direction to look it up, and not a redirect to some other place where the information can be found. If I had asked "ere can I find out what twitch is" then yes, his answer would have sufficed.

 

 

Lol you're still goin'on with this So let me explain why i gave you a link, and why i did it in a sarcastic way: you said if we were face to face i wouldn't gave you a link, you're right cause if we were face to face you wouldn't have a damn mouse to do just one click. But we are on the awesome internet and you do have a mouse so you can just click that damn link and spend way less time reading instead of making a war against the whole world to show that you are right.

 

And you know what? You are not right. Your point makes no sense at all because if we were face to face, and we were discussing for example of an unfair thing happened during a basketball match, well you were the one coming in and asking "wtf is basketball?" And believe me, if we were face to face no-one gives you link but also no-one is such "a decent human being" to make copy-paste of a f*king basic information on the topic. Probably the only answer you would get is "Are you f*king kiddin me? You come here to talk about twitch and you don't even know what twitch is?"

Obviously if we were face to face you couldn't literally give me a link. A link is not a physical object that you can hand over. It wasn't a literal state,net, but a figurative one. If we were face to face and I asked "what is something, you would be an asshole if you said "look it up". You would be an asshole if you pulled out your smartphone, searched Google, and handed me the phone. You would be an asshole if you did pretty much anything else besides say "I don't know" or "it's [whatever it is]".

Then you talk about "spending way less time". You're going to say that after you told me about all the effort you expended to do the search and give me the link? It was too late at that point to worry about saving time. If you wanted to save time, it would've been quicker to give a quick explanation like the one after yours, at which point it would've been over. Or if you didn't actually know, it would've been quicker to either say you don't know or, even better, say nothing at all.

We ARE on the internet but more specifically, we are on a forum. A discussion board. The point of this website is to discuss. The point of this website is not to be Google, nor be a proxy to it.

Your whole point about basketball is just wrong. You say I (or presumably anyone) who doesn't know what basketball is wouldn't interrupt an overheard conversation about basketball to find out what it is. Wrong. Wrong, I say. Wrong. If I didn't know what something was, but wanted to know, who better to ask than people who are talking about it and seem to know what they're talking about? So yeah, I get this easy point obviously far better than you do.

In that case ok, maybe you'll find some extremely nice person that will explain you something about a basic information everyone should know before entering the discussion. But i think that's more probable that they will answer "stfu and go learn something before disturbing people who know what they're talkin about". Or maybe you go in the youtubers topic askin' "WTF is YouTube? I thought it was you with your tubes, not sure what that has to do with videos"
