9 vehicles no longer able to be modified at LSC

9 of my cars can no longer enter LSC. I receive a notice "this vehicle cannot be modified."

 

I am not sure what's going on. Support is unaware of this issue. I posted in the help section but no one replied. Has this happened to anyone else?

 

I have tried to put together whether any of these 9 cars have something in common. I can only think maybe they were all purchased on PS3 prior to transferring to PS4? I refrain from modding/glitching so these vehicles were in fact purchased legitimately.

Was your adder able to go into LSC? I cannot even enter LSC let alone sell a car. Also, these cars were not involved in any duping...

Nope, whenever I drive up it gives me the same error its giving you. A few other players have reported that they have had the same issue. Seem to be a rare occurrence though.

I recently transferred from PS3 to PS4 and noticed that neither of my Soverigns (One on each character) can be modified... They both have the "Patriot" tire smoke equipped to them. None of my other vehicles have the issue, but again, none of my vehicles (other than the Soverigns) have Patriot tire smoke on them.

 

Obviously, I purchased both bikes and the Smoke when they were available back in 2013. I no longer have access to the smoke, or other items from the Independence Day DLC (horns, facepaint or mullet), even though I purchased all of the items way back when they were first released for both of my characters.

 

My only guess as to why only my Soverigns are affected is because they have that smoke on them... Since I can no longer access the smoke, the game is reading it as an "illegitimate" vehicle... As a result, no access to LSC.

 

Perhaps some (or all) of your cars have something on them that you no longer have access to, causing the same issue I have with my Soverigns...?

You cant enter LSC with a Ruffian either. I've had this bike since begin 2014, im not selling it and re-buying it since its the "naked" version. This is f*cking bs.

I think it has to do with patriot tire smoke. None of my cars that have/had it can enter in the LSC since lowriders. I haven't tried one recently though. Please file complaints, I have.

I can still bring my coquette in that has patriot smoke without issue, so that's not the real issue...

Nope, that can't be it, as 90% or more of my vehicles came from the PS3 when I transferred and they all can go into LSC, I tested them after the Halloween Update and after it was removed, because of similar complaints on the "OK what has "The Lowriders Update" changed?"

 

The only thing that I don't have and it seems that they all have is "Patriot Tire Smoke", do you?

(Although some posters are saying that they are having that problem without the smoke, so it could be "Patriot Tire Smoke" AND/OR "Crew Tire Smoke", do you have those on the cars experiencing this problem?)

OK, so this has me thinking that it is people that are using that Fake Patriot Smoke, that Patriot Smoke that is made using Crew Smoke. It is a Modified Crew Tire Smoke, possibly this is the problem. Crew Tire Smoke, not Patriot Smoke? IDK.

Not likely as my Hotknife had normal white smoke and was bought and not glitched, it looks like there is an unknown set of circumstances in which this glitch will occur, I think our best bet is to keep on at Rockstar until they acknowledge this error.

my entity was acquired before patch 1.07(patch that enabled car sales) contrary to what support people told me, it didnt have the sell option til like patch 1.19.

All of my cars that I can't sell have patriot tire smoke. It's my favorite tire smoke and I put it on during the independence day celebration (no idea how I would put it on otherwise)

I think this is pretty random. Happened to one of my cars (3 days ago) and I just found a new session and was able to modify same car in LSC.

It's poor programming by Rockstar but is inconsistent.

 

Low riders update meant the code for Patriot Tire Smoke is not recognized correctly which appears to be as a result of the patch

trying to block the application of it using Ifruit + Charles.

 

Like you I have quite a number of vehicles with patriot tire smoke but fortunately not affected by the bug but may be at some point.

 

Only thing we can hope for is next game update fixes this issue like the DLC cars issue.

OP, try contacting Rockstar to see if they can either make your vehicles moddable again or erase them & reimburse you. If you like the vehicles the way they are, you could even just keep them, but I certainly wouldn't want a garage full of unmoddable cars.

Submit a support ticket, including the exact cars, and keep on them until you reach someone who will really look into it. You'll have to undoubtedly reply through a few unhelpful form replies first.

I hate to sound like r* support but did you try clearing your cache? That seems to fix a lot of bugs for me
