Why are you all complaining about bad sports anyway? To those who agree, bad sports is your lobby where you can play with like minded players. Or is bad sports an issue because people will fight back? It seems like a good portion of the people against bad sports get mad because they can't blow up people anymore without much resistance. Now in bad sports, everyone is out to get each other.

 

That leaves the next argument that people have against bad sports is that they will be separated from their friends. Well, one, if you are too focused on blowing up people's cars and all that, then you probably aren't that worried about playing missions, races, heists, etc. Two, have your friend join bad sports with you. Three, play vehicle deathmatches or GTA races where it is acceptable. Three, do your 'friends' still play this game. By time Fallout 4, BO3, Battlefront, and other games' hype wears off, so will the bad sport sentence.

 

Enjoy bad sports because it is your DREAM LOBBY where you can blow up cars with like-minded players. Besides, it takes EFFORT to get into bad sports, so if you get into bad sports, you deserve it.

Tbh, I've blown up tons of PVs and I've never landed in a bad sports lobby. I don't think it is as easy to end up there as people say it is. If you're going around in a jet blowing up every blip, yeah, you're going to end up in a bad sports lobby because you are a bad sport.

 

I play differently than most people do, though. I usually only retaliate to attacks.

Not everyone in bad sport is a jet griefer.

Guys lets be honest here. I can kill a rank 10 endless times without consequence, yet I would not be considered a bad sport. On the other hand if I blow up 50 cars OCCUPIED OR NOT...thats right! I dont even have to kill the players themselves and I will be considered a bad sport?

Id love to hear how you guys justify that but I wont because there is no sensible explanation.

I think anyone using a hydra to blow up other players and their cars should definitely go to the BS lobby, it annoying. I also think people should never go to BS lobbies when it comes to blowing up armored kurumas and insurgents. Especially when it comes to the drivers inside trying to roadkill you in those things.

sometimes the game doesnt give me the option to back out of a mission. either the timer was too low and i didnt have time to leave or the host starts the mission so no one can back out. if you think i wont leave after you forced the mission on me your wrong. i might have joined the random mission option but that doesnt mean i want to play your mission.

 

or the third option. there is no hope of this group of players getting anything done. i dont want to waste an afternoon on replay voting screens.

and that can be a problem in itself. If someone has to all of a suddenly leave because of something unexpectedly happening in real life then there is no reason why they should be punished. Same sort of then goes for if you get put into a job with players that clearly don't know what they are doing, and keep failing, then again you should not be punished for quitting.

 

there honestly is no good way for them to change the bad sport system, because no matter what they do whether it has to do with quitting jobs, blowing up personal vehicles, ect... it will backfire on the legit players.

Hi guys,

I'm making this topic because I don't like the way the rockstar punishes clean players. If you blow up a personal vehicle, you will get a bad sport for that even if you have paid their insurance. I beleive that its only good for the rockstar if we blow up vehicles because thats generates them more money. Id love fly my hydra hunt everyone down, its a criminal game so i also expect others to kill me destroy my car my pegasus vehicles whatever. I always know that anything could happen in free roam. One night i was killing players with my hydra over and over spent nearly 4k just for other's insurance. I didn't mind the money because if i run out of money ill just buy bullshark cards. But they have also put me to bad sport lobby for 2 days where I barely could see any other player, plus I wasn't able to play together with my friends.

I don't see the point why they need to give us a bad sport for it, if my car gets destroyed i just phone up the insurance company request my vehicle and its here next to me in less than half minute.

Another thing is... when somebody tries to kill me with a Kuruma, how am i not supposed to blow him up with a RPG?

If you don't wanna die or get your vehicle destroyed put yourself in passive mode and nobody will ever care about you. it also wouldnt be a stupid idea that when you are in passive put your car in passive as well even if you are not sitting in your car.

Let me know what do you think about it. I'm sure there are other players who like to fly with hydra i think its the best part in the game.

Why do you need to blow up someone's car? There's no excuse for it and you should be punished. How would you like it if you spawned in on a mission and someone blows your car up?

I'm not really sure what you mean by when someone's car gets blown up it generates more money for Rockstar, because not everyone buys shark cards.

Blowing up a Pegasus vehicle is different because it provides the player with a huge advantage, hence why there is no punishment for it.

Also you should be punished for quitting missions, because some of them require several people, like Death from above and Los Santo Connection.

(I know what you are thinking, just use a Kuruma for Death from above. Its no fun that way. I'd rather have three of my friends playing and we all use tactics.

We arrive in a four door car, then we all rush in and one person goes around each side while the remaining two watch the front gates.

After the target is dead, we go back to vehicle and split.)

You can shoot people out of the Kuruma, you just have no skill, so your first option is to blow it up, hence why you fly a Hydra.

 

I think this is a pointless thread.

People end up in Bad Sport because they deserve it.

No sh*t. Which is why you have to quit several times before you get punished.

On XB1 was matchmaking restricted for being good in GTA Online. I was reported for cheating and griefing. I'm not

sure how you cheat in GTA Online and you can call it griefing when I get jumped by three guys at levels 17, 68, 120 and kick their ass*s

until they quit or go passive.

So it happens to the best of us. Life just isn't fair sometimes.

try blowing up 50+ in one day and im pretty sure you will end up in bad sport. only truly skilled killers are awarded the dunce cap , if you havent worn a dunce cap you havent had the full experiance of gta haha j/k people.

i have been in a freeroam war with one person for more then an hour....;.if including the stuff with his friends i have been there for atleast 2 and pribably more then 3 houres

 

realy blew up a load of personal vehicles, but yea, though i dont know if it were 50(sure were more then 30 personal vehicles overall)....i dont know, you have to grab something explosive every time you see a car and actualy search personal vehicles or something like that

 

i mean, those vehicles, if i did not blew them up directly, after i shot the driver out most of them actualy got wired with a proximity mine(they also kept falling for it)

 

you must fly jets a lot or realy have almost a full session coming after you in super cars and armored kuruma's or something

They should hand out many more permanent, bad sport for life judgements.

Excessive suicide-griefing should result in a bad sport for life sentence. Once again, I am not kidding.

It really takes A LOT of Personal Vehicle destructions to get yourself into Bad Sport.

 

I've never been myself but I know because just tonight this guy blew up my T20 twice. I messaged him and said "thanks for paying my insurance twice". To which he replied he had $31mil and didn't care. So I said, come to my garage and you can blow them all up....

 

He did.

 

We spent the next 30mins - 1 hour, bringing out all of my super cars for him to blow up. We went through about 30 cars with me calling insurance in between resets before he finally stopped and messaged me saying "Thanks, now I'm in bad sport for 8 days". So I replied "Maybe you shouldn't blow up PVs". /truestory

I certainly agree that quitting a job shouldn't be an 'auto-bad sport' offense or anything - I just feel that it should have a bigger contribution towards your bad sport status...so, if you were to quit, say, 3 or 4 times - you'd find yourself in the dunce pool (or something like that)

 

I couldn't care less about people blowing up my PV really - but quitters, whether they have a legit excuse or not, are annoying...some players quit way too quickly/easily - and this practice is basically encouraged by R* because there is no real consequence/punishment..

How many petty criminals have access to a military arsenal?

 

If you don't expect the game to be lax about what you can own, then don't expect the game to be lax on punishments for being overly douchey.

 

I mean you've got to just be blowing up sh*t day in and day out for you to land in bad sport.

 

I blow up people on the regular, I don't hesitate to kill someone by blowing up their car if they're chasing me. Or pulling out a rocket. I NEVER have been in badsport in over 2 years of playing.

last time i called R* back in september they said i had destroyed 1837 PVs, which is nothing if you take in considerstion im a day 1 player that have killed over 47k players, have clocked over 2000 hours.

If you know what will happen when you destroy cars, why keep doing it? You know the rules, just follow them. Just because you have access to weapons doesn't mean you're supposed to shoot & blow up everything you see. Just use some self control.

 

As mentioned before, Bad sport has a purpose & it's fulfilling that purpose just fine.

 

Edit; Although I do agree with Hanky about the missle lock on land vehicles. You shouldn't be able to directly target (sometimes even on accident) a PV if you must pay insurance & receive BS points. With the exception of events & bounties of course.
