ExplosiveViper
So I recently bought a GTX 9804g to replace my R9 270x 4gb. However i have been shocked to find my performance did not increase very much at all. Now at least I can reach 60FPS but I get huge, crippling lag spikes. Im talking 5-10FPS. I have tried a large amount of ingame graphic setting combinations as well as Nvidia Control Panel settings. Is there any way I can stop these spikes? As you could imagine wasting $550 on a GPU that doesn't work like i thought is well... to put it lightly, frustrating. As I am new to the ways of Nivida GPUs, is there any tweaks I should no about to improve performance? If anyone has any ideas, hutches, etc please PLEASE PLEASE Don't hesitate to offer your KNOWLEDGE (As Tai Lopez would say). That would be very appreciated! PC Specs GPU - EVGA GTX 980 4gb CPU - AMD FX-8350 4.0-4.2Ghz Ram - 8gb DDR3 Mother Board - ASRock N68-GS3 FX SSD - (For OS) Thanks
DrewGSW
I THINK it might be because of your CPU and GPU bottlenecking. But I'm not sure
Sonnу
I have tried a large amount of ingame graphic setting combinations as well as Nvidia Control Panel settings. Hey. Did you try to decrease MSAA, grass quality, post FX, draw distance and shadow quality? Cause these settings affect performace more than others, at least try not to use "very high"
