I don't mind the actual vehicles we have, but for "the biggest update ever", the car selection is worse than in LSSS. Guess this will be another lesson never to get my hopes up for Rockstar.

The vehicles aren't terrible but compared to what we could've gotten, it's extremely underwhelming imo. Lots of great suggestions have been made here over the last few weeks that not only would've fit right in with the theme of this update but looked amazing.

The new submersible is basically a much more broken orbital cannon.

 

 

I didn't expected Cyberpunk 2077 to be a masterpiece. I expected Cyberpunk 2077 to be a good RPG with nice action sequences and a good story.

I got what seems like a Far Cry 2077 with slight RPG elements and an horrible atrocious absurd JB 700W level of polish and attention to details.

But with a pretty damn good story (what a shame i don't want to launch the game anymore to finish the story because of the crashes constantly breaking the slight pleasure i may get between each bugs).

 

 

I expected The Cayo Perico Heist to be a big heist with a nice island added to the map that can be explored with between 15 and 20 new epic vehicles and basically a yacht Mk ll.

I got another heist with annoying characters, a Jeep, a Fiat, a Beetle, a splendid but useless submarine that cannot look like the Ramius submarine of Bogdan.

And a majestic middle finger to the JB 700W.

 

 

If this is the biggest update Rockstar has ever put in gta...

I'm either 1 much too old for this sh*t...

Or 2 that was really an underwhelming update...

I'm guessing both !

Bruh thats what im saying. Also you can’t forget the BOAH! Zebra has been requesting the Gran Torino for a long time.

 

Even if they didn’t add an Aventador, Charger, or Torino, they still could’ve added better cars or put more vehicles in. For “the biggest update ever”, this is one of the worst updates when it comes to vehicle selection. 
 

Of course we all we’re hoping this would be the DLC that I could’ve gotten an Aventador, Zebra could’ve gotten a Torino, others in here could’ve gotten the Charger Hellcat and a regular Comet Classic. 

 

Besides the VW, the only person who got something they wanted was Willy A Jeep and guess what they added? The WILLY JEEP. Im happy for him though. But seriously, they honestly could’ve done better.

 

I hate to sound ungrateful and entitled because quite frankly, none of us are entitled to a car in GTA no matter how bad we want it. We can post as many Aventadors, Torinos, Chargers, classic Porsches, and ZL1 Camaros as we want but at the end of the day its up to Rockstar to fulfill our wishes. And thats just the sad truth. Maybe the next DLC is when we get the cars we want. Maybe we get that Aventador or that BOAH!! If not the next one, the one after that one and so on and so forth.
 

But enough rambling. Im happy for Willy for getting his Willy lol. Gotta go check my responses in the DLC thread.

I honestly don't really hope that much to see a Torino added. Of course i would love it but i don't really expect it to be added anytime soon...

 

I did my part by creating "The Petrolhead Guide" which was apparently judged unnecessary.

I come here from time to time to discover obscure vehicles (thanks again Willy) and joke around here and there.

I do not really take it that serious anymore. In the last three years my life has changed drasticly. I now have a precise goal and work to do.

I do not have time to play a seven year old broken game anymore. While i do like it from time to time, it is simply not really my cup of tea anymore.

I have much more fun writing scripts now.

 

Let me put it this way... The greatest thing about writing scripts is that the only limit is your brain. You can instantly create the world, background, graphism and characters in it.

The gameplay is limitless and you can always do new things and experiment. You never reach the end of the map and you can have all the vehicles you want in it !

All that with no download time and all the DLCs are free !

 

 

I would rather see others get what they want in the game. I'm fine.

 

 

Also on a side note : I adore the sound design in the submarine. I already recorded a few minutes of it. The Submarine is the only real fun surprise in the update for me.

 

And let's be honest... I'm pretty hyped up for that Beetle !!

Its a shame cuz I really want to see a 72 Gran Torino, othewise this DLC is ass, I doubt the Squaddie would have a double cab option, but seeing the Fiat, SF90, Beetle, Willys Jeep, there still hope but idk.

I gotta see the customization on the Itali RSX before I consider buying it. Hopefully some videos will come out with the customization of the new cars.

 

But it makes me think, is the DLC actually trash or do we consider it trash because the cars we desire aren’t in it. Like even if you take the Aventador, Torino, 488/F8, Hellcat Chargers, and every other car we desire on this thread alone, let them put some good supercars, muscle cars, JDM cars etc, it would be considered one of the best DLCs vehicle wise. I think if you keep the Beetle, Fiat and SF90 plus alot of popular cars people want, it would be a great DLC. Or if you add more vehicle slots for extra cars, it would help alot. 
 

But outside the Beetle, Fiat and SF90, there aren’t  any good cars. Now tbf you can make a case for the Go Karts. Those look pretty cool too. I’m all for new aircraft as well. Maybe it just depends on taste of cars.

Note that the Jeep has no cover or soft top roof option and the Marzal "Pegassi Toreador" seems to have infinite missiles and torpedoes...

For me, an update's car selection can break or make a DLC. I can excuse Arena Wars because it came with a lot of great, long requested cars. 

 

Cayo Perico Heist and After Hours though, those DLCs are thin as hell in terms of actual, fun, innovativve gameplay and offered piss poor car selections. Inexcusable imo.

Agreed. Car selection is key. If they were to add better car options or even more cars, it would’ve been a better update. Like the LSSS, the only car I genuinely liked was the C8. A few others are okay. But i look at the other ones and just think to myself “why is this even a thing?”

 

Like the beater dukes could’ve been that Torino, Mach 1 or that 2 door Chevelle. The 3 lowriders are meh. The Landstalker XL is okay. But that spot could’ve been filled with a Cullinan, Trackhawk, Durango or Bentayga. The Tiguon isn’t really my taste but I feel as if it could’ve been an Aventador or Zonda or something people actually requested. Someone actually requested a P72 but I forgot who. Might’ve been Scottie lol. But whoever it was got their wish granted. Like they missed so many opportunities with cars that could’ve made the update 10x better. 
 

Seems like im contradicting myself because I said I learned my lesson about expecting to get stuff we want yet I’m ranting and whining about not getting what we want. Like Zebra said earlier, I want to see everyone with something that they want. Yea I want an Aventador in the game but it wouldn’t seem fair to push for my favorite car to get added and not do the same for others.

 

Also, Willy A Jeep got his favorite car in the game now, so I’m happy for him.

Interesting... I decided to do the heist (alone of course) and started to enjoy the idea while being of course filled with f*ck you level design that makes you unnable to truly explore the island like you should

or to peacefully get around the island and get where you want because your character will magicaly slip like a turd but i was appreciating that little Metal Gear Solid level design

(although poorly executed and devoid of real fun but hey that's R* we're talking about here).

 

And then after being spotted by your usual "Hello my name is god and i can see through walls at a billion kilometers of distance" guard i respawned (normal) at the gate (normal)

 

With my character completely stuck in "i surrender" animation... No other choice than to restart the game and when i want to go online...

 

"Impossible to load your save from the servers go back to GTA V and go f*ck yourself"

Anybody got that too ?

I have found the issue.

(PS4)

 

You need to restart the game and as the R* logo appears, clear the cache.

(hold L1 and R1 for a few seconds)

 

You will need to recalibrate contrast, camera speed, audio options etc though...

 

But it worked.
