Agreed. To me it doesn't make any sense on why we have every flagship Lamborghini except the Aventador. When it comes to the 488, the Fiuria was just something that had better potential to be something better. Seriously though why put an LED light, and Koenigsegg doors on a car then make it slow as crap then slap a 2.5 million dollar price tag on it? Thats why im skeptical on them adding an Aventador because when it comes to supercars, they take like 2% of a car then mix it with 5 other cars. I know it can't be exact, we all know that but they can do waaayyy better.

It’s because the majority of people that buy supercars are hype beast kiddies that will buy it because it’s new and expensive.

 

the more obscure the inspiration and underused a class a car belongs to, the better the modelling will be. The Youga Classic has better detailing than most supers. The Cheburek is one of the best-modelled cars in the game.

Right. See I love supercars and I want me and every other supercar enthusiast to enjoy them just as well. Im more impressed with the JDM cars and im not the biggest JDM fan but im highly impressed because of how realistic they look compared to the real life counterpart. Im more impressed with the regular street cars because of how detailed they are. Look at the Sultan Classic. You can make an Evo and a Subaru Impreza GC8 because of how detailed the customization options are. When it comes to supercars they just take a small percentage of a car that everyone asks for then mixes it with a million other cars and charge 2.5 mil for it. The Gauntlet Hellfire is my favorite muscle car because of how detailed it is. Yea it has a few customization flaws but no car is perfect. The same can be said for the Outlaw, im not really into Offroad cars but the detail is great. Once again it lacks customization but its an offroading car not an everyday sports car. I would pay 2.5 million for nicely detailed normal car like a Honda Civic that performs great and has good customization versus paying 2.5-3 million for a piece of crap supercar just for the simple fact that its a supercar.

A Japanese cafe racer? Ja na, too mainstream. Aircooled BF? Psh, everyone and their brother owns one. 70s diesel Swedish estate? Nope, still not obscure enough. For when absolutely nothing else will do, there is but one answer: the Raskya. It doesn’t get more against-the-grain than a car built in a former Iron Curtain country that’s gone through 3 civil wars and been renamed twice since it was built. The Raskya is not only the antithesis of everything of what a car should be, it will actively try and kill you every time the wind blows. That’s assuming it hasn’t rusted in half before you even get a chance to drive it. You are the ultimate hipster.

Yet the Nero, Turismo Classic, Infernus Classic & GP1 are some of the best modeled cars in the entire franchise.

 

It has nothing to do with "obscurity". It all depends on their mood & how much time they have. Everything is peachy? You'll get a high quality car regardless of class (plenty of examples). Not? You'll get garbage like the Emerus, Jugular, Novak & Dominator GTX.

I feel as if there’s too much inconsistency with the designing of cars. Cars like the GP1, Turismo Classic, Infernus Classic, Cheetah Classic (at least the somewhat older cars) have great designs and are nicely detailed, that I will give them. They’re getting better at designing cars but there’s still a bit of inconsistency. I don’t have an issue with the Novak. But the Emerus could’ve been a little better. The GTX is something that never should’ve happened AT ALL! The horrible design is one thing but those handling flags made it worse. The Jugular is not bad to me personally but I wish we could remove those widebody fenders. Its still one of my favorite cars. Same goes for the Emerus, could’ve been better but I still like it.

We still get high quality cars. I only mentioned those because the dude implied that the more obscure the csr/class, the better chances it have of being high quality & the regular known stuff don't have the same chances.

 

I completely agree regarding the GTX, what a mess.

For me, it goes like this.

 

 

1 Bad = Nothing more than the Ellie will ever be added ...

 

2 Acceptable = A ton of customization will be added to the Ellie one day ...

 

3 Good  = The guy who did the Gauntlet Classic will do a new take on the 67 - 68 Mustang and give us a lot of customization do go with it.

(Including an all new take on the Eleanor build, with nice side pipes.)

 

4 Perfect = The previous option, but he will also give us a Mach 1 with good customization options.

 

5 Or maybe they will never touch the Ellie again (what a waste it would be ...) and give us a Mach 1 ...

I guess at least don't put a dozen pictures that show off the exact same thing. I don't need to see a dozen pictures to remember what a chevy cobalt looks like. I don't need to see the mitsubishi ASX in every individual colour it's offered in. Is that really so much to ask? Even with a decent internet connection loading literally a hundred images at once is a hell of a task

 

Anyways a thing I like a lot about the way GTA cars work (at least in concept) is that parody and actual development time constraints make each individual car need to be at the same time 1. meaningfully different from other cars in the game and 2. a good representation of all the cars it's supposed to be parodying, at once. The elegy retro pulls this off really well, enough so that it feels like adding another r32, r33 or r34 skyline variant would be splitting hairs.
