I guess so, but I'm not waiting for another dlc that may or may not come, plus it may not even have a camaro. So I'm just gonn a make one before they do, plus, my friend wants an earlier 5th gen for a police pack he's doing.

speaking of Honda, their present day kei car lineup is actually looking incredibly solid, with the N-WGN being redesigned to have a much more retro look (i've seen it refered to as being inspired by the N360, but I think it looks a lot more like the Life Step Van) You could give it the rear end of the n-one and have a pretty handsome little kei car

 

 

On the one hand, I know that it's unrealistic to have a brand new left hand drive kei car in the game, but aren't we criminals? and even if the crime is as dumb as owning a foreign econobox that violates the 25 year import rule, it still is a crime

It’s 80% 1969-1970 Charger, with just enough GTO to avoid copyright. I agree it’s a f*ck ugly holdover from the GTA 4 ‘caricature’ art style, but there’s no way they’d make another car that is based on literally the same thing. The closest they’ve ever done to that is the Tyrus/GP1, and you can argue that the F1GT was different enough stylistically from the regular F1 that they can get away with it.

Hellfire is based on an updated version of a model in the game, it’s not being passed off as a reimagining of a car. It’s not another artist saying “this is the lore’s new Challenger”, it’s an artist saying “the old Gauntlet was a 2013 model. This is a special facelifted 2019 model with more power and different styling”. You know, like real cars. I don’t know what you’re getting at with the Tempesta. The Caracara fourby is literally a 4 wheeled version of the 6x6. Literally no other changes were made. The 6x6 was based on the Hennessey 6x6 Raptors, and the 4x4 is based on the non-Hennessey ones.

Since the Bonneville looking Duke's is an Imponte and the Buffalo is a Brovado I really don't see a problem.  The only thing that ties the Duke's to a charger is the name.

And an updated classic Charger is what the other guy was getting at. Okay so one based on the same generation of Charger the Dukes is supposed to bear a resemblance to. No one's saying the it has to be the replacement lore friendly Charger but is it that bad to want another car that is based on a mix of Charger, Roadrunner, Coronet rather than Charger and GTO? Maybe they won't release a better classic Charger model for this game but perhaps for GTA 6.

Except classic Chargers didn’t work that way, they weren’t in production for over a decade with occasional facelifts to try and modernise them. The model he’s suggesting was only in production for 3 years, and the only thing that changed was the front bumper. He’s not asking for a ‘68 Dukes. He’s asking for a competely separate car to replace the outdated Dukes model. And further, to pretend the Dukes doesn’t exist. Don’t see how you’re not getting that.

 

So then ask for that: a better Bravado* Dukes for GTA 6. There’s a good chance they’ll update most cars for that game rather than port them over, like with the jump from PS2 to PS3. Because in this current generation, the Dukes is clearly intended to be the 68-70 Charger of the GTA universe. Just like the Coquette is intended to be the Corvette of the GTA universe.

 

the Reaper is a Lykan Hypersport with very minor Huracan influences. Adding the Tempesta doesn’t affect the Reaper because the Reaper is only about 10% Huracan. The Tempesta is the other 90%. The Dukes is different. It’s pure 68-70 Charger with just the rear lights and front bumper of a 69 GTO. And the front of the GTO and the Charger are close enough that you can pass it off as either when you genericise it. The Dukes is not a GTO with some Charger influence, it’s a Charger with some GTO influence. Why do you think it’s called ‘Dukes’? 

 

Exactly, it’s the same ute. It’s not a reimagining or a replacement. It’s intended to stand alongside as simply a variation of the one we had before. It’s not a ‘better interpretation’. It’s the same vehicle.

this is technically vehicle based but man!!! i wish there were a better selection of wheels available in LSC. A lot of the newer cars come with pretty solid wheels stock but sometimes you just gotta change them up to fit the theme of your car but...none of the LSC rims are actually that much better

 

I'd also like to see some IV cars return but with the kind of customization stuff that the newer dlc cars have been getting just because i want to see what the result of that much care and attention would be on one of the older models

Well, it's been a month, and things have started to settle down around the Online subforum post-DC&R. We've got a long dripfeed to go until the winter holidays update, but the thick of it is over for me. So, after a month hiatus, it's time for another addition to the never-ending wishlist of strange and obscure vehicles! Some oldies for you all today. Really old. So old that Oldsmobile was still owned by Ransom Olds! That's old. So! A Bentley, an Oldsmobile, a Ford, a Benz, and a Mercedez-Benz. Let's get to it.

 

Bentley 4½ Litre Supercharged

Even in the early days of automotive culture, there was a major sporting element. Rich men raced expensive cars on backwoods tracks for fame and glory, and usually died in the process. The Blower Bentley here is an icon of that era.

Oldsmobile Curved Dash

Though this covers multiple model codes and years, they all have a certain detail in common. Can you guess what it is? This horseless carriage made Olds popular enough that the nascent General Motors bought the company, and the rest is history.

Of course the most popular image of the early era of automobiles gets a mention. I favor the circa 1920 models, but the Tin Lizzie came in so many forms and had so many appearances that it's hard to narrow down. Only thing they have in common is the color!

Predating even the curiously un-carlike Curved Dash, the Patent-Motorwagen here is almost a moped. But from as early as 1886, these were built in numbers and sold commercially, and is widely considered the first mass-produced automobile.

The newest of the cars on today's list, and potentially the most morally murky. Long before the G-Class and its crazy 6x6 variant, the W31 6x4 was making its own statement, serving as the chariot of the Third Reich. Freakin' Nazis, I hate freakin' Nazis.
