1) His his car , and he can do what his want to his car

2) I actualy like it , dont looks bad

He can do in fact, but the manufacturer owns the rights in terms of design and also things like that brings a negative impact in the image of the company. Ferrari has a policy about modifications, if the modifications offend them, they move a legal action against the person, thats why the image of ferrari is almost impecable. With the mindset of being better than ferrari, lamborghini should have the same position to live up the philosophy.

How it looks is subjective, but with no doubt is disrespectful.

I'd like to see any case that Ferrari has won in that regard, because there are plenty of ugly modded Ferraris out there.

I cannot see how they have any right to say how someone treats their personal property.

There's plenty of butchered cars out there.  Ferrari can't stop you from modifying your car, but they can blacklist you from buying a new one. They control their image by vetting customers.  You can't buy a new car unless you already own a used one.  And even then, you have to buy a "base model" like a California or Portofino.  Once you've proven to be a good caretaker of that car, they'll let you work your way up to the more hardcore models.  Nobody is allowed to just walk in and buy a 488GTB as their first Ferrari, no matter how much money you have.  That elitism is why they have such a strong aura.

Sadly we somewhat already have it

The only thing the Mamba needs to be perfect is a better interior and engine model.

And maybe changing its manufacturer to Vapid.

And a set of double racing stripes.

Wishful thinking, I know.

I have no idea how many ferrari won or lost, these information never comes public unfortunately. I feel like the quantity of modded ferraris are too much for them to handle as well, they cant filter every single one, i guess they only contact the most ridiculous ones.

About having the right so say how someone should treat, i guess it depends on the historical value that car have or will acquire in the next years. For example, you cant have a 250 GTO worth 20 million dollars and transform it into a liberty walk widebody abomination without backlash from the brand, since is a piece of automotive history and the historical value it has is superior to LB will ever have. Ferraris like the 458, 430 and lambos like the aventador or huracan maybe will be worth millions in the future, and the brand should protect them in this regard.

Lol but they can't, once the car is sold it's not theirs anymore. I found the most recent/famous case about it with Deadmouse or whatever his name was. They sent a cease and desist letter about his car. He should have just said f*ck them and not removed the wrap. They have no rights over any of the cars they sell after they are under the ownership of the customer.

It depends on what is written in the ownership contract and the legislation of the country. I would say in US probably they cant do nothing and if they do the court would judge in favor of the customer, however in other countries i have no idea.

A lot of exaggeration is involved when it comes to Ferraris, so many myths & lies that people can't distinguish them from facts and realities.

Regarding the DJ, they sent him a cease and desist letter because he changed the Cavallino Rampante & Ferrari badge on the car to Purrari or something equally ridiculous & didn't remove them when he wanted to sell the car. In their eyes that was a peach of their IP. The wrap had nothing to do with it.

A lot of people modify their Ferraris no problem both tastefully and outrageously no problem. These cars lose their value & die in the used car market because the Ferrari demographic doesn't want a tarnished Ferrari, they are purests. And that's why Rosso Corsa painted cars command a premium over other colors.

Ferrari can't tell you what to do with your car, but they can refuse to sell you the next one or blacklist you from applying to the limited production cars (F12 TdF, LAF ...etc).

As far as I know, the only people blacklisted from regular production cars are the gray market exporters. And not just by Ferrari. Mercedes, BMW, JLR & Porsche do the same thing.

Ah yes I forgot about this. This is the most likely situation here, and the only way I can see they would have any leverage over anyone. I imagine they could refuse sale to even more pedestrian models if they didn't like you enough.

The Adder deserves an open top sibling and the 811 could use the competition.

I really wish Rockstar would add the Lamborghini Aventador into the game. Just have multiple customization options to create the 4 different variants of it. Kinda how they did with the Schlagen GT.

Perhaps rockstar will eventually give some love to a long forgotten class: sedans. If they do, here's some suggestions

Buick Roadmaster, Willard Elegant

Buick Lacrosse, Willard Swindle

Chevrolet Caprice, Declasse Premier Classic

Chrysler 300, Schyster PMP 600

Toyota Crown, Karin Majesty

Nissan Laurel, Annis Derrier

I'll throw more out there eventually, but seriously this game needs more sedans. GTA IV had a good selection of them, why did so many get left behind? Damn bloated station wagons they call crossovers.

Yeah some of these cars being molested and destroyed in "accidents" will probably help drive up the price of "pure" cars.

Afaik, Ferrari have a list of their special customers, these are people proven over time to have massive appreciation for the marque. They get invited to buy the best cars. (That guy who I have worked for and I posted some pictures is one). It's these guys who keep the purity in the brand. People like that would never accept modifications to their cars, and although I love modified cars of most kinds.. I do struggle to like a modified Ferrari. Very rarely have I seen any that I find acceptable, the Ferrari snobbishness has infected me.. but I'm NO snob. Far from it.

There's just something right about keeping something's the way they were conceived. I think it might stem from the early cars where body panels were beaten into shape individually for each car, they are truly works of art, the whole way they were designed and produced seemed different. Far from perfect in many cases, I've seen the green sealant in the F40.. and the 250GTO having different length doors, etc..

But they have a soul..

Such a soul.

This does apply for me for a lot of other cars other than Ferraris, particularly BMW, Porsche, Chevy, and any Classic versions of cars I love from any manufacturers.

I'm probably contradicting myself as I love car customisation.. as I'm writing this I'm thinking of all the modified cars I love..

But I only like the type of customisation that I like... I guess I am a complete snob after all..

A CAR snob.

Today's mixture for the Shelby Daytona is. . . a replica Shelby Daytona.  Specifically one known as the Dan Rose Special.  It's an older kit that's not particularly accurate, so rather than trying to build a replica, the owner decided to go the opposite way and create something more unique.  He even communicated with Pete Brock (the designer of the original Coupes) and got his blessing for the design changes!

Agreed 100%.

I can go for custom wheels on a modern Ferrari, the right set of HREs compliment the looks of some Ferraris, but stuff like liberty walk and Mansory are waaaaaaaaay too much.
