Back to really beautiful things..

The 288.. probably my single favourite ever Ferrari. I love it so much.

I mentioned a guy whose house I worked at around 10 years ago, well he was a bit of a car collector and after speaking to him he gave me access to look around his garage and the 1st car I saw as I walked in was .. a.... 288 GTO.

I then spent several months visiting the property to carry out electrical work and as the main supply and distribution was all based in the garage I had permanent access to drooooooool over these wonderful cars and the many other car related things around the house and garage and garden (huge Ferrari emblem tiled into swimming pool floor!)

Anyway here's some poor pictures taken from video footage.

^^ no it's actually a modern replica.. but a nice one.

And not many times you will see one parked next to a Ferrari 275 GTB!

 

Also check the Porsche 930 turbo cabrio flat/slant nose..

Ah, man, you guys are stealing all my thunder! Already ten posts into the page, gosh... But I've got a job to do, so here's another entry into the never-ending wishlist. Again, a little impromptu, since I wasn't prepared, so... How about some late 60s/early 70s cars, huh? Those always seem to be popular. A Ford, a Chrysler, an Opel, a BMW, and a Daimler. Don't forget to send along anything you like to Rockstar! Let's get to it. Oh, and, @Mach1bud, I'm fine! It just so happens that I wake up when it's morning in Tokyo rather than the American midwest (assuming that's what concerned you).

 

1969 Ford Fairlane

It may not be full-size anymore, but it's still a pretty big car. Another one of those members of the post-Mustang power craze, but also looking forward to the plushening of the 1970s. It's all Greek to me, to be honest, but I like it.

1969-1972 Chrysler New Yorker

Can everybody say "land yacht"? It's big, it's boxy, and it better be brown. The New Yorker of this period is something of a perfect mixture, combining the luxury of a big car with the style of something much meaner. I can dig it.

Opel Diplomat A

Something from General Motors' German marque, though you would be forgiven for thinking it's an American car. Big, brash, and expensive, the Diplomat wasn't very well suited to the European market of the 1960s, but it exists, so here you go.

BMW New Class 2000CS

I've never been a big fan of BMW, I think their cars are traditionally ugly and paradoxically boring. This is one of the few that I like, though, probably because it's different. Still ugly, but ugly in a way I like!

First-generation Daimler Sovereign

Now, I've really liked the Stafford. I've bought three of them, after all. But we're coming up on a year since its introduction in a few months, and I'm starting to get the itch again. I think this would satisfy, atleast until an R-Type Continental comes along...

I'm pretty sure this car has been mentioned in this thread before, but I do think that Rune could do with something other than the box. Why not have a luxury car for their second vehicle?

@Vallence, I think I've been the champion of the Chaika in this thread in the past, so I'm happy to see somebody else bring it up! I think it'd be a great car for the RUNE marque (alongside a Trabant and Melkus RS 1000), maybe with a bit of mid-50s Plymouth and Packard mixed in. Though I also wouldn't mind some Chaika details appearing in a Checker Marathon analogue, with some of their apparent similarities, as well as historical ones - long-lived and stylistically dated limousines, with the Checker sometimes standing in for the GAZ in Soviet-set American film and television (such as in Mission: Impossible).

Nah that's clearly more of a 427.

I love my mambas but the little rear wings really annoy me, so I always have to keep my mambas dark. I wouldn't mind them using the slimmer OG 289 as a base for another.

 

Plus it was just page 289 as an excuse to post this wonderful car.

Stumbled across this thing today. Lamborghini Huracan. Don't know who it belongs to but I kinda like it but I also hate it...Calling it now. R* will see this & add it into a future DLC lol...

Back to our regularly scheduled programming. I had this entry drawn up for page 288, but with the speed of things around here the past few days, I didn't have the chance. You folks are passionate! So! Here's some cars. Weird, classic, and boring. A Studebaker, a Chrysler, a Buick, a Lexus, and a Volkswagen. Let's get to it. Be sure to give a shout Rockstar's way if you see anything you like!

 

1955 Studebaker President

Against the trend, Studebaker's 1955 line-up took on a surprisingly sporty, European character. Still boasting a lot of chrome, but far from the boxy offerings by bigger names. Was it the beginning of the end? I dunno, but their 1956 line-up is far less unique.

Chrysler Turbine Car

Thirty years before General Motors introduced the EV1, Chrysler tried a very similar program, touting the benefits of a turbine over the traditional combustion engine. It was loud and prone to malfunctions, but the car looked kinda cool!

The introduction of the Lexus nameplate really shouldn't have worked, but somehow, Americans wanted even more Japanese cars. Though Toyota avoided a Japanese-sounding name for its new marque, it's hard to hide this luxury sedan's origins.

Second-generation Volkswagen Passat Fastback

Last and maybe least, here's the 1980s Passat. I assume Volkswagen chose the name based on its Norwegian meaning - a trade wind - and didn't consider its potential unpleasantness. I like these older ones, though! Boxy.

Fun fact, much the Lexus line was sold as Toyotas in Japan. The LS was the Celsior, GS was the Aristo, IS was the Altezza, RX was the Harrier and the SC was the Soarer. Though I'm more partial to the third gen LS the first two generations were nice, but their interiors lacked the wood trim I'd desire from a flagship luxury car. 

Call it the Emperor Executive.  

 

Since we get a super car almost every update, this is one that should be added 

Spyker C8 Preliator, I guess it'd be an Overflod since it has a Koenigsegg V8 engine. Perhaps call it the Overflod Aviator since Spyker has aviation inspired interiors?

Lamborghini should be like ferrari and sue whoever do an atrocity like this with their cars. This is really makes me sad, millions of real car enthusiast wanting to own a lambo and this guy turns this one into a ariel atom knock off
