It's not just GM. All manufacturers.  Trust me

Oh I believe you. I was just saying that GM goes the extra mile to cut corners.

Engineers: What fuel economy do you want on this vehicle?

Cadillac: Yes.

I am doing mechanical engineering in college and i must say the power numbers you think are impressive, i can already tell you that arent. These numbers could be higher if wasnt for dumb emissions and noise regulations.

I will give the chiron as an example again, the quad turbo w16 can deliver way more than 1500hp, but they cap it in order to have higher reliability.

Surprisingly no. The V16 engine is just 2 427 Small Blocks.

All the big manufacturers i would say, and in most part for the general public (normal people cars). Something like a chiron i highly doubt have cuts, at least not dirty ones.

But yeah unfortunately the quality given to us is way less than what they could offer with decent profits.

Well yeah obviously talking about normal manufacturers.

Lol sure is easy if you oversimplify it like that. That thing would be a nightmare to diag a driveability problem. Not to mention the physical issues working on something that big in probably a tight af engine bay. (The regular V models are already packed in there with no room at all).

Anyways not gonna bore you dudes with my day to day. Was just a joke cause I work on so many Caddy's lol.

Pretty sure most of us know vehicles can make way more power, but there comes a limit where reliability and practicality can no longer be achieved.

10,000 hp.

IIRC that's how they made it.

Anyway, I agree. But I guess it doesn't really matter since its purely a show car & the engine wasn't intended to reach production.

Now that you mentioned, I have to ask, The powerdom hood was necessary to fit the supercharger in the 2nd gen CTS V, is that still the case with the 3rd gen CTS V? or is it purely cosmetic like the ATS V?

I'm not sure tbh, haven't had a lot of 3rd gen CTS V's come in for anything other than basic maintenance. Several ATS V's come in regularly though. I'll have to look the next time a CTS comes in, I think it's just a cosmetic thing though now, the supercharger is pretty low slung/low profile style, almost identical to the Corvettes.

Yeah, cosmetic would be my guess too.

I hope they drop it from the 4th generation V cars, its very tacky.

Willy A. Jeep

Ah, hell, the one day I decide to sleep in, and I miss half a new page. And it looks like everything here is waaay over my head, hah. Well, uhhh... Here's a stop-gap post until 288, with, uh, some... Jeeps! Yeah! Airplanes on the next page, though! Let's get to it.

Jeep CJ-5

The bridge between the classic, utilitarian Jeep and the fun, sporty Jeep popular through the rest of the 20th century. It's never been my favorite, but it's ridiculous that nothing like this is in the game. The Mesa is nasty.

Jeep Gladiator

The classic one from the 1960s! I'm still super disappointed the new "Gladiator" doesn't take more influence from its vintage predecessor, because this truck is both utilitarian and adorable.

Jeep DJ Surrey

Or "Gala". Did I say the Gladiator was adorable? If so, I lack the vocabulary to describe the Surrey. Underpowered, rear-wheel-drive buggy in lighthearted, midcentury pastels. How can I say no?

Jeep Forward Control

A relatively preemptive, space age foray by Jeep into the forward control market. Pretty different from anything before or after, and almost totally forgotten, but I like it. There was even a passenger van concept!

Jeepster Commando

Coming down the line from the slightly too metropolitan Jeepster of the late 40s, the Commando came in to defend the Jeep name against the likes of the IH Scout and Ford Bronco. It did pretty well until a facelift, and... you can see why.

I dont know, is getting to a point that is becoming way too much, look at the new camaro for example, the grille is so big that looks ridoculous. I am glad there is aftermarket and people who likes a more smooth look can get rid of all this carbon and canards and splitters.

I like it a lot too, though I prefer the more obviously Jeep slotted fascia more. It's just a bit too much like the Bronco, I think, and I imagine that loss of Jeep identity was a major throw-off for Jeep buyers. Then again, with how the Wagoneer had a very similar grille at the time... I dunno. Would be an excellent vehicle for Rockstar to mix into a classic Bronco or Scout analogue, at any rate.

Yeah, its only a matter of time before they make gold wraps a factory option.

They all have the same/similar front end design. Camaro, Silverado, Blazer, etc etc, like usual they are doing an across the board brand identity design change, but I agree it doesn't look good. I think the Camaro is getting the worst of it tbh.

I hope if R* adds a modern Camaro, it's not based off the 2019 model.

LoL you got me. I just dont want to see more tezeracts or X80s or vagners in game, these things are horrendous and should never be added in my oppinion. Most of the bad stuff comes to the game as a knock off of a concept car, so less concept cars, less horrendous vehicles to deal with.

First of all , the vagner dont looks bad , but i give you the point with the x80 and the tezeract , they looks horrible

second , some old concept cars dont looks bad , take a look to cars like the Bugatti ID90 or the Ford Mustang Milano , they looks awesome

OK, gotta belt this one out, 'cause 288 is here and I am not prepared. It's been a while since I shared any aircraft, but I've still been slowly adding them to the mega list, and it's time for the overflow valve to open up. So! 10 airplanes for this entry into the never-ending wishlist of strange and obscure vehicles, of all shapes, sizes, and sorts. A Handley Page, Messerschmitt, Bede, Martin, WSK PZL-Mielec, Northrop, Aero Spacelines, Edgley, Tupolev, and an Avro. Remember to bug Rockstar about it! Let's get to it.

Handley Page HP42

Probably the oldest aircraft I've loved the longest. One of these (or, rather, something that looks a lot like it) appears in the beginning of Kiki's Delivery Service, one of my favorite films, and it's a pretty impressive machine. Wish even one survived today.

Messerschmitt Me 262

One of the earliest jet fighters ever employed in war, and it was on the losing side. Plagued by mechanical problems and pilot unfamiliarity, it was outmatched by Allied piston planes despite its technological advancement. A herald, dead on arrival.

Freakin' Nazis. I hate freakin' Nazis.

Bede BD-5

And you thought the Alpha Z-1 was weirdly small. There's a lot of these micro aircraft in the world of amateur aviation, and I don't think I would have the nerve to fly them in reality. Perfect for a video game, though!

Martin B-57 Canberra

An English design licensed out to America, the Canberra is one of many midcentury planes that has gone on to serve far more roles and live a much longer life than the original plan. Riding the winds of change and doing it well.

WSK PZL-Mielec M-15 Belphegor

If that isn't a Soviet aircraft designation, I don't know what is. The Belphegor was an experimental, jet-powered crop-spraying biplane developed in Poland, and everybody hated it. Go figure.

Northrop YB-49

The flying wing style of aircraft has long been an experimental dream. It's cool, but almost always impractical in comparison to tried-and-true technology, and has mostly been superseded by the tailless delta. Here's one that actually flew, though!

Aero Spacelines Super Guppy
