Page 276! Time for another post, and I'm basically dead on my feet, so here's an incredibly curt flavor text block. Things! Words! Cars! Vintage and muscle and a weird thing. Cadillac, Packard, Buick, AMC, Lamborghini. Let's get to it!

1940 Cadillac Series 75 Coupe Convertible

Somehow, we're still lacking a real vintage convertible (or, heck, even just a topless car). I like the late 30s, early 40s Cadillacs for their supreme Art Deco styling, so here we are. There's a few images of a sedan, too, just for styling reference.

Spoiler

1939 Packard Touring Cabriolet

And now for a sedan convertible. Though, as far as I know, it wasn't the official presidential car, one of these was modified and used for FDR. Packard really hit their prime in the late 30s! Also, again, a few images of another model for styling reference.

1967 Buick Wildcat

In light of Rockstar adding a bunch of classic muscle cars in Arena War, I've been looking through some of the few I like to add to this list. Here's the Wildcat! Four doors or two, I don't really care. It's cool, it's got style, and it's a Buick. Awesome.

1970 AMC Rebel

OK, this one I'd prefer we got as a sedan rather than a sportier coupe, but that's just me. It's a bit boxy, but I like a box. My computer's a box, my TV's a box, why not my car? Anyway, here it is. The Tulip needs company.

Lamborghini Marzal

And now for something completely different. From Italia, it's a 1967 concept car, brought to you by the same man who designed the Countach, Miura, and Citroën BX. And you can see through it! Weird!

Oh man, I've been gone a while, missed several pages. Why, in fact, I haven't posted since last year! I'm not gonna apologize for that.

I've been distracted from Online, spending quite a bit of time in RDR2's story mode instead. And so I'm letting this list revolve around the steel horses we love so much, a few motorcycles from interesting old brands. An Italian scooter for only the most hipster of us, a vintage american famous from sea to shining sea, a British beauty famous in old Hollywood, and a forgotten French veteran. I hope it's enough to make up for time lost

1962-65 Innocenti Lambretta TV175 Series III

840HRqy.jpg

There are those among us who would view this bike and try to tell me we already have it in the game as the Faggio. I can understand the assumption. The Faggio is based, predominantly, on the old Piaggio Vespa models. And the Vespa's design was stolen from Lambretta. See, there's a very famous Italian aeronautical engineer named General Corradino D'Ascanio who was hired on by Innocenti to design a small, motorized scooter based on the earlier Cushman military bikes US soldiers had been riding throughout Italy during the second world war. However, after a falling out between the designer and Innocenti over the production of the vehicle's frame, D'Ascanio left with his design and hired on with Piaggio. Piaggio would release the Wasp upon the world in 1946, with the Lambretta arriving to the scene a year later in 1947, and the rivalry began. Vespa's were city bikes, decent enough around town whereas Lambretta's were workhorses, good off roaders, and much faster with a center mounted engine instead of a side one like the Vespa. But I know what you're all really waiting for, the mods. Mod culture in Britain was all about the freeness of mopeds, no matter the brand. Many owned a model from each line, and rode both. The rivalry became Moped V. Motorcycle with the rival Rockers. But, with more interchangeable parts and better speed, the mechanically minded mods would generally gravitate towards the dying Lambretta model line, and those that did would often gravitate towards this exact model. The TV175 was the "High Performance" Lambretta, with a good top speed of 60 MPH and rather rapid acceleration, this is the go to speedster Lambretta for the era. In game, between the gorgeous pointed chrome along the sides, and a much different two tone paint scheme, I'd be more than willing to bet that it would be able to distinguish itself from the Faggio for all but the most vehicle blind players in the game, and would give a nice car for those hipsters that want to really stand out in front of Bean Machine. Given good Mod style options to recreate something similar to the '67 Lambretta Li used by the main character from Quadrophenia, alongside traditional cruiser and work horse styles, this could be the right way to heat up tensions between the brands once more on the streets of Los Santos!

1940-42 Indian 440

VRji4et.jpg

This is one of the most beautiful bikes of all time, in my humble opinion. Those classic indian fenders, the streamlined shapes giving it the image of movement even without a rider, that incredible I4 motor strapped inside. It's just gorgeous, and is rightfully referred to as the Packards of Motorcycles. Heavy, gorgeous, and more than powerful enough for the era, with a top speed in excess of 100 mph, these bikes are incredibly rare due to their high starting price. These were around 1,000 dollars new, at a time when a car from Chevrolet was only 700 dollars. I know, right? If only we could go back. The vehicle was more or less inherited by Indian when they purchased the ACE motorcycle company in 1927 and with it came a man named Arthur Lemon as chief engineer. He'd make some interesting improvements to the bike over the years in the ultimate pursuit of ten miles an hour to get the guaranteed to 90 bike to reach the full century, which he would succeed in doing in 1938. In 1940, alongside the immediately recognizable Indian fenders, he'd help introduce plunged rear suspension with fat tires, so despite their large weight at almost 570 pounds these make excellent slow speed cruising bikes as well. Meaning police departments that could afford it loved them. These were the creme de la creme for moto cops of the era since it could help them not only keep up with almost every criminal but also look incredible as they rode with parades. Sadly, though, this bike would be one of the casualties of the second world war. Ending production in 1941 alongside all other civilian vehicles, and it wouldn't come back with the struggling post war Indian due to it's low sales and high manufacturing cost. In game, I'd expect this to have all the Bikers modifications, so things like gear sticks, intakes, and unique exhaust options befitting it's unique engine. Maybe a good police livery as well as some good Rat style mods to really spice it up a bit more.

1950-66 Triumph Thunderbird

eCx5FkT.jpg

In the pre-war days Triumph was the leader of the British pack with their 500cc Speed Twin, and they weren't about to let the belt go. In September of 1949 they announced the next big thing, the 650cc parallel twin powered Thunderbird model. The name was apparently taken from a roadside motel in the USA that one of the company leads stayed out while on a business trip. To prove that the powerful name was not misplaced, the bike was formally launched with a stunt on the Montlhéry circuit in France, where three thunderbirds rode for 500 miles around the banked track at over 90 mph before a final flying lap at over 100, then all three partaking on the trip all the way back to Meriden. The steady, fast bike quickly became a hit and sales were bolstered even farther with the smash hit of "The Wild One" in 1953, where Marlon Brando is seen riding his personal Thunderbird as the head of a classic rough and tumble motorcycle gang, leading to every teenager with a rebellious edge to pull on leather double riders, motorcycle boots, and dream of rolling to school on their own, scaring every square adult for miles around. This is still the main image of the bike these days, too. It's a bike of speed and style, of quiet anger. Whether it's carving up british back roads, barreling through curvy Rocky Mountain roads or cruising the early highways of California, this is a bike that gets stares. I'm not sure what kind of customization I'd want to see on this in game, but the main thing I want is a new riding position animation set for it, which I know is a big order. But, really, they just need to modify the off road riding style so that the character doesn't swing their foot out into every turn. That's what nearly ruined the Esskey for me before I accepted it as a scrambler instead of a Cafe Racer like I had wanted it to be. So add a sat up street riding animation, fix the damned double riders so we can wear shirts under them like normal people, and let us just go, ya know. Let us just wail, lay down some jive, ya know?

1932-39 Gnome et Rhone CV2

V2X10L2.jpg

Need to start this one of with a special thank you to one of our resident Frenchmen, @DoxerWhite. Without him I wouldn't probably be able to talk half as much about this old bike. Gnome et Rhone is an old French manufacturer that first made their name with airplane engines for the Allied powers during the Great War, during the interwar years they turned their eyes on a couple of other industries, including motorcycle manufacturing. Making powerful 500cc racing bikes at through the 1920s, with some great 250 cruiser models coming later in the decade. In 1930 they introduced the V2, a streamlined, Art Deco masterpiece with a 500cc motor, built for cruising in high fashion. The CV2 would come just two years later, sharing the same chassis as the V2. It would however come with more options to really make it into the ultimate upper class Parisian bike of choice. Something about it's design is so very French, to me. The large, swooping curved lines, the high output flat twin, it's so not American, and certainly isn't British. It's graceful, despite its size. But, then the war came. The factory's were taken over by the Nazis, and the majority of the bikes now came with a military edge. Those gorgeous body lines would find themselves strapped to a side car with innovative side wheel drive on the 800cc AX2 starting in 1938 replacing the 750 XA as the side car of choice for the military. These bikes would be seen on both sides of the war across france, with British troops and French La Résistance fighters strapping machine guns onto the sidecar roaring through the countryside. Germans captured soviet models, camouflaged with squinting, covered headlights. EDIT: The pictures of germans with captured Soviet G&Rs are actually reclamations. Soviet captured German motorcycles that have been captured again. Thanks, again, to @DoxerWhite As for the company itself during the war, they were ordered to start making motors for Luftwaffe craft like the Messerschmitt Me 323. But while the Nazi's estimated the plants would produce 25,000 motors for them they quickly became infamous for slow production, only finishing 8,500 motors in the four years they were under orders. Partially due to them becoming targets of Allied bombing campaigns, but also due to the tensions between the French workers and their squatting Nazi leaders. At wars end, the company was in no shape to really continue production, and alongside the fact they had collaborated (I feel a strong word, given the circumstances) with Germany, they were Nationalized into the "SNECMA" and attempted a return to motorcycles with a few failed, yet still beautiful bikes before ultimately closing their motorcycle division in 1959. These days these aging beauties are all but forgotten by those who don't ride them, but those that do seem to quite enjoy their time. Powerful, with a beautiful design and a fighting spirit, I'm willing to give these bikes honorary American citizenship. From a cruiser fit for a top hat and tails, to a fighter ripping along back roads pumping machine gun fire into german tin, every little bit of info I find about this bike just makes me happy to know it existed. So, in game. I'd say a classic V2 base with modifications to turn it into looking similar to everything from the civilian D5C to the police issue X40 models alongside an optionally armed sidecar model with passenger controlled guns and WWII styled headlamps and liveries would be the way to do it.

@IceDree, It probably sounds like insanity coming from me, but I prefer the Jarama over the Espada. The angular designs of the Jarama appeal to me more than the kinda funky, fluid shape of the Espada, but something in both of their designs (and the Marzal, obviously) tickles my brain. They're all in the mega list for some reason!

Oh, and Rockstar? Yeah, seriously, give us these cars. It's about time for another injection of classic European sports cars. Unless you're working on, like, a bunch of 30s/40s cars... Then that's even more important. But do add them!

The Jarama was cool. Poor thing was overshadowed by the Miura & Countach.

I like the Jarama, but I prefer the 365 GT4 family more for some reason.

Nah dude those things are hella popular. Go to any drag strip on any night in the United States. There is guaranteed to be at least a few foxbodies there.

My weekly reminder to R* that this game needs a Shelby Daytona Coupe.  Since they like blending different generations of the same car, I'll suggest mixing in the closest thing the Daytona has to a second gen: the GR-1 concept:

2005-shelby-gr-1-concept.jpg

ford-shelby-gr-1-concept-08.jpg?w=1000&h

Funnily enough, someone has already attempted such a thing:

On a related note, the Viper was intended to be the spiritual successor to the Cobra.  The Banshee has been a GTA staple for years, but it needs a MkII.

SRT-Viper-Stryker-Green.jpg

Keeping it in the Mopar family, there's not nearly enough 70's models.  A '71 Plymouth or Dodge would do nicely.

71_charger_super_bee_1.jpg

Now that we have a muscle sedan, we need some kind of muscle wagon.

Dodge A100 pickup:

With a Benny's conversion that turns it into a full-blown wheelstanding dragster:

Let's get some curvy Europeans too.  Saab 96:

BMW R7 can represent the bikes:

A nice Chris Craft for the boats:

With the blessing that is the Tulip (Ignoring the flags & non-colourable copy-pasted interior), a vintage convertible  would be lovely! And by convertible, I mean actually power-operated. For some reason Rockstar refuses to add any new convertibles to the game, save for the Windsor Drop. I’ll rant on that another time though...

I have not been well this past week, and today is no exception, but we're about half-way through this page, so here's my mid-page post. As above, forgive me for my lack of verbosity, my brain is just fried. Toyota, Renault, Chevrolet, Ferrari, and... Bertone? It's gonna be a weird one. Let's get to it.

1980 Toyota Starlet

Starting off strong with this rinky-dink Japanese compact. I prefer the square headlamp models over the earlier round, and the flat grille over the later slant, but that's me and my insanity. We need more compacts...

1967 Renault 10

A return to the odd and obscure! And remember what I said about the square headlamps? That applies here, too. Don't know why, because I usually prefer round lamps, but I think they're funny on this cute French thing.

Fourth-generation Chevrolet Camaro

Huh? What's this? Why is this in here? This isn't my kind of thing... But I'm sure it's the apple of some others' eyes. An American sports/muscle car, built in Canada, designed in Japan. Alright, I'll let it slide.

Wait... How... What's going on? This isn't right... I must've had, like, a stroke or something. This shouldn't be here. It should be where it belongs, in Hawaii, with Tom Selleck behind the wheel...

Would the 900R be considered an MKII?

No, it's just a tuner version of the original (with the body kit of an RX-7).  What I want is a totally updated generation with sleeker bodywork, a new interior, and greatly improved performance.  And most importantly, fix those cheap-ass headlights from 1995.

I'm just gonna repeat a pretty common wish, in the desperate hope that R* will eventually consider it "oft-requested" enough to add it.

Add ALL of the GTA 4 vehicles that are not already in the game plz.

I wish for a Mercedes Benz SLS. The Schlagen GT is similar but the gullwing doors are crucial. It would've been a perfect combination together with the Stirling GT.

Stereotypical G-Man

I wish Rockstar would add a classic G-car like this 1986 Ford LTD Crown Victoria one day, fitted with FIB sirens and such.ford-ltd-mib.jpg

I love my Nokota but I really want more WW2 aircraft; particularly the F4U Corsair, P-47 Thunderbolt and a B-17/B-24/B-29 multi-person turret-covered prop-driven bomber that ISN'T slower than an armored truck.

Vapid Hustler Custom

gives it multiple body options. Not only the current 3 window body, but allows us to change it to a roadster and a Vicky body. All with the correct suicide doors, and functional rumble seats on the coupe and roadster and optional levels of roof chop on the coupe and Vicky. Also allows us to change the radiator grille to a ‘33 design should we choose, can add or remove mirrors. Different headlamp designs. Customisable interior with unique seat patterns. Have the firewall have its own unique livery options. Different engine styles that look like a Ford flathead, an SBC, and a Chrysler hemi. Multiple different air inlets such as the classic trible carby setup up to massive superchargers. Laker exhaust, trumpets like the Rat truck can have, gasser exhaust aimed at the ground, and so on. All with optional chrome, ceramic white, stainless, gold, and primary/secondary finishes. Have the stock wheels be the classic narrow hotrod ‘artillery’ wheels, and add several new hotrod wheels as well such as the full aero moon covers, the classic baby moons with a chrome outer rim, full smooth steelies, classic wires, and 5 slot mags. When you pick from the classic ‘muscle’ category wheels it fattens up the rear tyre. Also make it when you turbocharge it, it instead gets a supercharger whine.

I would love for them to have another attempt at the LaFerrari, and make it better looking from the front. Don't even get me started on the 811...

Apocalypse Turismo R? lol

An Ubermatch bike is sorely missing in this game.

But seeing how neither the FCR-1000 nor the Raptor were branded as such, my hopes are kinda low.

But hey, no one expected a Principe supercar of all things, so it may actually happen!
