Oh & while we're at it, the Picador could use a Monte Carlo Sabre front end.

The Picador got so much potential.

Willy A. Jeep

A new page! Finally! Jeez, I was starting to feel like I really was going to be obsolete, with all the folks riding horses and exploring the mountains. Though, to tell the truth, I've been away from Los Santos, myself. Still wandering the stretches of Skyrim and modding my various Fallout games to Christmas and back. And writing, but that's what I'm always doing, as you can see here. But, until everybody really does up and leave when Red Dead Online arrives, I'll still serve a purpose, and I'm here to do it today. Vehicles! Ten of 'em. Some cars, a plane, and a... bike? Maybe? It's a Leyland, a Sinclair, a Renault, an Audi, a Pilatus, a Jeep, a Ford, an AMC, a Goggomobil, and a Dodge. Let's get to it!

Leyland P76

And its ultra-rare "Force 7V" variant. The P76 was a big car in a time of drought, and worse yet, it was the only thing Leyland Australia could hope to save itself with. Project 76 here flopped hard in its short run, but it's retained a loyal following. I like an underdog!

Sinclair C5

Those of you from the British Isles might be familiar with Clive Sinclair's other creation, the ZX Spectrum. He's invented a number of different solutions to society's problems, and the C5 was one such solution. And a problem, as it turns out.

Renault Dauphine

This car was also badge engineered, but its genesis was in Renault. A curious little¬†car from France, forerunning the modern economy car with the likes of Citro√ęn, Volkswagen, and Fiat. I saw one of these in a black and white movie about a dog. Yeah.

Audi 4000

Also know as the Audi 80. Have you ever seen more of a box on wheels? I understand that some people really dig this look in their performance cars. To me, it's a plain ol' European sedan. To each their own, I suppose.

AMC SC/Rambler

A rare muscle car entry from me! And of course it's AMC's surprising, drag strip-ready compact. Do you say "scrambler" or do you say "S-C Rambler?" Do people get embarrassed that it shares its lineage with the Nash Rambler? I don't think they should.

LOL hahahaha that was the reason I suggested the A5 Sportback. It has similar body and better taillights (IMO). Those from the A7 looks kind of weird to me

1940 LaSalle Series 50

Luxury brand from General Motors, the Lasalle automotive company would be manufactured and marketed by Cadillac from 1927 throught 1940. Its role was to fulfill a gap between the different brands held by GM, basically it was the second most prestigious marque they had after Cadillac. In 1939, the Series 50 got restyled in order to keep up with the companions and at the same time it was the last effort to save the company from being outclassed by the lower echelon Packard.

1965-1977 Hanomag Harburger

Hanomag or should I say Hanomag-Henschel-Werke GmbH (ex Vidal & Sohn Tempo-Werk) is a brand that manufactured utility trucks and army vehicules for Germany since the start of the 20th century. Bought in 1970 by Daimler-Benz, the Harburger is badge engineered into a Mercedes-Benz L 206 D.

1986 Citro√ęn BX 4TC

Despite the nice picture, you should hate it. Rushed into a group B rallye car for 1986 using the base of a BX, it failed in performance and reliability. Of the 200 BX 4TC produced (and less than 85 sold), only 40 still exist. Citro√ęn tried to scrap all the stock left and any remnant of its existence.

1986-1995 Volvo 480

First FWD car made by the automaker, the Volvo 480 was also meant to be sold in the USA as a 2+2 "sport wagon" in fall 1987. It was produced in the Netherland by the DAF truck company and took inspiration in the previous P1800ES for a more relaxed design (in comparison of the company's reputation for having box car look). I really dig the edge and pop-up headlights !

I've been gone a few weeks now, but there's not been a lot of action around here, has there? I guess everyone's just busy with the wild wild west or the 76 BETA's. Because of that this one's gonna be a long one. I've got six cars across 3 brands that I want to cover, 2 for each brand. So, here's to those cult classics, the cars that have been around so long it's hard to imagine a world without them. Here's to the long runners.

1970-74 Toyota Corolla E20

b3S27AX.jpg

Second gen Corolla. A classic, a pure classic. The E20 came barreling into the world carrying the "Coke Bottle" styling of it's american contemporaries in 1970, and it quickly became one of the best selling cars in the world. It's a small, sporty car and with the gas crisis on the horizon many realized it's practicality as well. Now, as is almost always true, we didn't get the best versions here in the states, but we would eventually get the sporty TE27 Levin as the SR5 in 1972. So let's add another car to the growing list of classic two door rally cars. The Retinue, the Michelli GT, the Savestra, etc. Now, some may claim that this is too similar to the Savestra. The mid section of that car obviously borrows a lot from the E20, even the Wiki points that out. But I feel like the E20 could make itself into an even more niche market, this should basically be the classic JDM version of the Tampa. This shouldn't be that fast, but it should be fun. Fun to chuck around the corners like a rally driver, fun to hammer down the highway. Races? Who needs a race when you have the open road. Throw on some barn find and rally liveries, alongside a vinyl roof option for weirdos like me, and maybe some other home brew style mods and this could quickly become my favorite JDM car in game.

1997-2002 Toyota Corolla E110

sN24tZ2.jpg

Is there a Corolla that's more Corolla than this? If you ask random people what Corolla they think of when they hear the name, this is going to be the most common response, almost guaranteed. We all have memories in or around an E110. Maybe it was your first car, or the car you got when you wrecked your first car. Maybe it was your buddies car that you remember hot boxing after school. This car's seen so many first kisses and bongs that it might as well be a stoner watching a romcom. It's not horrendously fast, at least not stock, but it's a car. And what more can you really need than a nice, regular car. Well, how about a 2zz swap? Yeah, I know I'm ruining that whole regular thing but have you ever had the joy of riding or driving a 2zz swapped E110? It's the most fun sleeper most will ever find. You need a new header and wiring, but with the 6 speed manual and around 280 to the wheels, you'll be smoking any Cameerroooo that thinks they're hot. So, with that swap and some homebrew and some early ought's tuner mods you could have another simple and fun car, something I think we're lacking in online.

NEXT BRAND

1938-2003 Volkswagen Type 1 "Beetle"

c8stxDu.jpg

The Beetle, what is there to say? That rear mounted four cylinder boxer motor coupled to a four speed manual has been powering this car into the hearts and minds of people for over 80 years, even with it's sordid past. Yes, let's get it out of the way. This was a Nazi vehicle, it was so Nazi that the first convertible Type 1 was given to Adolf Hitler as a personal car. But then the war was over, and well, everyone hated it. Unsurprising, really. The factory had been bombed to pieces during the war, and it fell to a Brit, Major Ivan Hirst, to get it up and running again in 1945. Using connections and pulling some strings helped Hirst convince the British military to order 20,000 cars, allowing the Type 1 to finally enter full production after the war nearly killed it. By the 60's it was one of the most popular cars in the world, and by 1972 the Beetle became the most produced car in the world, finally beating the Ford Model T. It's design remained pretty faithful over the years, too. And by faithful I mean they changed maybe 10 things with the visual design over the course of it's 65 years of production. Why fix what is loved, I suppose. The little Beetle was a lot of things over it's long life, and in some ways it lived a very human life. Born in Germany as a friend to the German people, it found itself ushered into battle on the wrong side of history before a friendly British man showed it the love it needed. It would become a common sight on the California beaches, urging for peace in our time before ultimately retiring to Mexico where it would die a well loved icon. It lived an often rough, but full life. In game, we should be able to customize it to fit any of those regards, make it a military officers car, make it a classic cruiser, a flower powered symbol on wheels. It's only right to respect the little car that could.

1998-2011 VW New Beetle

bOrBpRm.jpg

Let's be honest with ourselves, this was never going to be as good as the original beetle. I mean, seriously, it's front engine, front wheel drive and it's only inline's or narrow V's! So yes, while real the only real Beetles are rear boxer, rear wheel drive, well the New Beetle is adorable. It's also why I ended at 2011, even though the current Beetle design is going to continue to until 2019. The New-New Beetle has a lower profile and a more aggressive stance which seems to miss the entire point of the Beetle to me. But anyways, the New Beetle is still loved, and it's understandable since, like I said, it's adorable. And it wasn't entirely lacking in power, with special editions coming equipped with V6's making over 220 hp! Include some good racing and flower power styled liveries alongside some to make it look like the old Beetles, like some chrome trim and a big luggage rack with wood. And much like the Corolla above, some street racer style body kits and similar mods are a must.

LAST BRAND, I SWEAR

1953-1968 Willys CJ-3B

1JjS3G5.jpg

Much like the Beetle above, the jeep is a happy vehicle born out of the anger and sadness of war. It's flat fenders and body panels made easy to replace, it's simple design made it easy to understand even for the common soldier. The Jeep was a friendly, helpful, wide eyed face in the midst of hell. No matter where we needed to go, it's 4 powered thin wheels could do it. This is the last of the flat fendered jeeps, right here. End of an era. The "Jeep" had been serving with the American troops through almost all of World War Deuce, but as it was drawing to a close Willy's realized the possibility of the civilian market, offering a rugged "4 Function Vehicle." The four being a "Runabout" capable of highway speeds, a tractor for pulling machinery around the farm, a truck capable of towing and carrying heavy loads, and a "Mobile Power Unit" as it's power take-off could be used for spline shaft or pulley drive power. It's a rugged, simple machine capable of great things. As I described it once before on this thread, they're "as American as apple pie." In game I want to see this stock rather than lifted or made into a crawler. I want the skinny off-road tires and the vintage suspension and 4 wheel drive. Options for spare tires, cloth tops, and various MilSpec mods to make this into the vintage go anywhere it is. And while it may not be possible, I think it would be really cool to make the radio a custom option. In Mafia II, the in game equivalent doesn't include a radio, as the originals didn't either, something I always thought was a neat choice in game.

 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ)

14VfNLF.jpg

The TJ. It's no CJ, but it'd impossible not to love anyways. This is the last of the small jeeps, the last of the real jeeps. A JK is nothing but an SUV that thinks it's special. But the TJ. The TJ is the last fun jeep, the last one that's really excited to see you. It's an aging dog, the one you had since childhood. She's often tired now, and maybe she doesn't work quite right all the time, but she can still go outside and run around in the dirt with you. Treat an old dog well, for to her you are a kind immortal. Treat an old jeep well, because it's a mortal reaching it's end. The straight 6 does leak oil, and fires may not be uncommon, but you stick it out. You stick it out because she will too. Jeeps don't go down without a fight, just make sure you're an ally. Give it some good Jeep liveries like what we got on the Kamacho. Various milspec and off road items as well, but with it being able to act and look stock if wanted. And just because it is popular, give it some "Heep" mods for the guys that want their little mall crawlers. The vehicle is known for fighting for freedom, after all. Oh, and I'd be needing a match for "Fire Red" asap! But, most importantly, much like the rest of these cars, the main thing this should be in game is fun.

We all love our super cars and vintage muscle cars, but most of us don't daily those in real life. We have something like what's listed here, we have fun simple cars. Personally, I have E110, 2002. The old things no racer, but it's hit 3 digits, and it's controllable for when I want to go quick on those late night back roads. Not every car needs to be fast to be fun, and I think that's something the game should show more.

Things are moving slow around here, still, so I'm making another post on this page for the sake of my sanity those of us who do still haunt the streets of Los Santos. Four cars! Well, two cars and two trucks, if you want to get technical. Dodge, Jeep, Checker, and Ford. I've had long love affairs with each of these vehicles, both near and afar, and I'm sure that's apparent for two of them. But the other two are fresh to this wishlist, I think, so... let's get to it!

1980s Dodge Ram

The nicest pick-up truck you could buy in the late 80s, even if it was getting pretty dated in its styling. The one my grandfather owned had blue velour and stripe whitewalls. Superfly! And, of course, it's got to have the hood ornament.

1960s Jeep Gladiator

I know we've got the Bodhi, but it's such a poor analogue for the M715, not to mention a far cry for the civilian Gladiator. What a name for a truck, though! "Gladiator!" I prefer the earlier ones with the more Jeep-like cathedral grille, but customization makes it all good.

1974+ Checker Marathon

With plenty of taxi and apocalypse modifications, please! The classic American taxi has seen its share of reimaginings, and I can't help but love this thing in any form it may take on. It's just perfect. Why 1974+? I like those chunky bumpers!

1955 Ford Crown Victoria

With an optional Sunliner-style transparent roof! Probably my favorite car from the "big three" in the mid 50s. The curious chrome "crown" (or basket handle, if you're so inclined) defines this car from the rest of the line-up. And it's just so pretty!

It's a new precedent. Almost three weeks without a new page of the vehicle wishlist. @IceDree is keeping it alive (keep it up!), but I'm itching to make another post, because... cars! It's a Virgil Exner, Forward Look, Flookerang blowout with this post. Five examples from the Chrysler family, one from each U.S. market marque, all from the pre-muscle height of Detroit. A DeSoto, an Imperial, a Chrysler, a Plymouth, and a Dodge. Let's get to it!

1960 DeSoto Adventurer

To me, the 1960 Adventurer is the best of the best that Chrysler's Forward Look had to offer. The ultimate of big fins, aggressive grilles, and luxurious power. I just love this thing.

Spoiler

1959 Imperial

Imperial had a bit of separation anxiety, going from a model to a marque and back to a model. But it was always big and loud, and that's what Forward Look was all about.

1956 Chrysler Town & Country

Yeah, it's not really its own model at this point, being an option for the true models, but the wagon lived on. While it's more reserved than entries from later in the decade, you can really see the future in those little rocket fins!

1957 Plymouth Belvedere

Miss Belvedere, we meet again, and do you only get better looking as the years roll on. Whether you're sweet as cherry pie or bad to the bone, I can't help but love you.

1957 Dodge C Series Sweptside

It's a pick-up truck from Dodge, but this one is special - it has fins! They're kinda stubby, but look at that. The Sweptside was, along with the Chevrolet Cameo, an attempt at more civilian trucks. I wouldn't mind a mixture of the two to appear in-game!

Hey, it's been a minute since I've checked in here, huh? Might as well drop in some vehicles that this dumb game could use, haha

It'd be fun to just have an old Subaru wagon, you know? there's just something about doing big crime in weird old cars that i love a lot

4fbdc876ccf3bf654ea4beb463862330.jpg

Well. What's there to say about the honda ruckus? It's a goofy little bike that I think would be a lot of fun to zip around Los Santos in, especially if they manage to get even a fraction of the tuning parts that the real life bike has for it.

6000000001.jpg

I've probably mentioned this before and i got a pic of a Ford Model A but it'd be nice to have the most regular 1920s/30s car possible. Absolutely no modern changes before you go into LSC. Just a regular guy's bone stock american sedan

While I would prefer some actual new cars, for obvious reasons, also getting some overdue (and logical) versions from cars already in the game would be cool too.

Something like convertible versions:

Non-widebody variants:

We should be able to upgrade the Rhino Tank to a Custom or MKII version that will make it like a the double barrel Soviet prototype from COD BO2.
