Is it that time of year again? Feels like it's been forever, but the calendar seems to think it's only been about a week. I've been awake mostly during the daylight hours lately, which is unusual for me as I'm a nocturnal predator, but commitments and such have their way. So, After Hours is finally over with, huh? No more dripfeed, and a discount on... all of Elitas? And money bonuses next week? Sounds like something big might be coming along soon, though with Red Dead on the horizon... Well, I'm curious about the timing of it all. Halloween update, anybody? Catch you as soon as you've finished the Red Dead campaign and need a break... Bam! New cars in GTA! And what cars are those? Well, I doubt they'll be any of these, but here's my selection for the page, anyways. The theme today is limited production vehicles. What does that really mean? Eh, well, under a few thousand. Some of these had really small numbers, though, so if you own one, I envy you! I've got a Bricklin, a Rolls-Royce, an Associated Equipment Company, a Lockheed, a Beechcraft, a Tatra, a Reliant, a Jeep, a Muntz, and a... Severodonetsk Auto Repair Base? Let's get to it!

Bricklin SV-1

Move over John DeLorean, Malcolm Bricklin's gull-winged sports car came first, and it failed first. With under 3,000 produced, the SV-1 is even rarer than the DMC-12, and never has had the popularity boost that DeLorean saw. Still, I think they're kindred spirits.

Rolls-Royce Phantom IV

With only 18 produced and all of those for the extremely rich kings and queens of the Old World, the Phantom IV is a rare piece of machinery. And so beautiful! I'm a long-time admirer.

AEC Routemaster

Here's another iconic entry into automotive culture from Great Britain. Is the Routemaster more or less famous than London's Austin FX4 taxi? I don't think I can say, but I have been in one of each, so my bucket list is just a little bit shorter.

Lockheed A-12

Back across the Atlantic, we're going far more space age with this next vehicle. Whether you call it Archangel, Oxcart, Cygnus, or "the Article," the A-12 is a classic example of American technology and military secrecy. Of 13 built, only 8 remain. Seem 'em soon!

Beechcraft Starship

No, it's not really a starship, but it certainly is out-of-this-world. With canards and pusher propellers, the Starship was a strange contender in the business aircraft market of the 1980s. It sold poorly and Beechcraft bought back many of the 53 produced. Still, cool!

Tatra T600

Though I'm a bit more partial to the T603 simply for its pontoon-like body and triple headlamp configuration, the T600 is a cute little car in the same vein as the Volkswagen Beetle, though its Tatra blood gives it an interesting flair.

Reliant Scimitar SS1

One of the last hurrahs of Reliant, the Scimitar couldn't save the long-standing, quirky British manufacturer. Intended to sell 2,000 units every year, only about 1,500 sold in its entire decade-long run. A fun little car from the looks of things, though, so get 'em cheap!

Jeep Surrey/Gala

Though, in truth, the Surrey and Gala model was simply the USPS DJ model, the special "tropical" package really made this a different kind of Jeep. Not many were made, since the market for a cute, RWD Jeep was limited, but I love them to bits.

The prison bus in GTA V looks to be based on a late 80's or early 90's model.

I'm thinking something more along the lines of something from the 60's, but the whole idea behind the bus is to invoke the bus of the same name from Vigilante 8.

n64_vigilante_8_second_offense_p_aggfj8.

WOW, this game is awesome! I played it when I was just a kiddo, 12 years earlier. I've got to remember it recently when playing Forza Horizon 4 in the Xbox One. There's a 1969 VW Beetle/Fusca Baja Bug and I did a wrap for it resembling the Wunderwagen from Vigilante 8: Second Offense. It's cool to offroad in this pink buggy hahahaha

For this longer list I'm gonna start off with a quick blurb on one of the more interesting parts in 20th century culture, the music of the early 1960's. See, I'm into rock and roll, boogie woogie, you know, stuff to jive too. But in 1959 Rock and Roll died. Of course, we all know of the sad night of February 3rd where the world lost Holly, Valens and the Big Bopper in one tragic plane crash, but alongside that Elvis was in the Army, Chuck Berry was arrested under the Mann Act and Jerry Lee Lewis was being railed against for his child bride over seas! America has lost some of the biggest names in Rock and we didn't know what to do with ourselves. It would be a few more years until the Beatles came along and kick started the British Invasion, but in the meantime there was a growing trend coming out of SoCal that would soon sweep the country with a vigor and cause every leather jacket wearing bad boy and turtle necked intellectual type to kick their radios in frustration. Ladies and Gents, let's go Surfing.

1946-48 Ford Super Deluxe Station Wagon

Udc8Ruw.jpg

No mention of beach combing cars is ever complete without a Woodie, so let's just start with one! It's 1946, the war is still fresh on everyone's mind, and the American auto industry is rushing to put out civilian cars for the first time since 1942. And while the bones underneath are the same, Ford introduced some changes to differentiate these new models from the old, like a big horizontal grille with red accents and a wider hood to make room for their 239 CID flat head V8 turning out about 100 horses. Of course, none of that matters that much here since the wagon we're focusing on wasn't made for speed, hell it weighs somewhere in the market of 3600 pounds! No, it was made to comb those gorgeous California beaches. This is the last of the all wood Fords, as in 1949 they changed to an all steel body with wood paneling. Here though, the passenger compartment is still all wood, inside and out. Sure, it won't protect you as well in a crash, but you'll look cool when you get take a 2x4 to the chest! Performance in game should reflect real life here, give it a nice flathead sound but put the performance just better than the BF Surfer. In terms of aesthetic mods, obviously a roof mounted rack for surf boards is a necessary item. Expect that on all of these cars. I'd say it's famous "Lipstick" should change with the secondary color, similar to the Sentinel Classic, and I'd like to see some rusty "Rat" styled liveries alongside an option to make the wood appear well worn, like it had seen a long life of sand.

2013-Present Ford Flex

bQ1DUeR.jpg

And here's her modern equivalent! No, seriously. See, similar to the Plymouth Prowler or Chevy SSR, this is meant to evoke those 40's/50's feelings. But where they based their entire personality around being retro themed, the Flex is it's own thing that just borrows slight cues from it's heritage. Those long grooves down the side and rear are meant to be a contemporary and minimalist take on the old wood panels. Those chromed, horizontal bars on the grille should look familiar as well, considering what we just got done talking about. But while modern safety features have upped the weight considerably from the late 40's it is still much, much faster. With all 4 wheels being powered by the optional 3.5L EcoBoost twin turbo V6 pumping out around 300 horses, this is no slouch in the speed department, despite it's size. If it came to online I'd like to see some new mods available, including faux wood paneling, ICE systems like the Cavalcade, and some street style modifications alongside surf liveries and boards.

1932 Ford Model B 55

Tli7T7M.jpg

You may know this better as simply the "Tudor." In 1932 Ford revolutionized the mass market auto with their introduction of the famous Ford Flathead V8. We're not talking about that. Ford actually had two different models running at the same time in '32, the Model B and the Model 18. The difference was the motors. 18's were the V8's, while the B sat in it's shadow cradling a slightly reworked L-Head-4 from the Model A. Sure, this is all semantics, but I'd like to see the 4 banger. V8's are fun, and powerful, and loud, so better in about every way to the I4. But the I4 was where hot rodding started. It's what kids could get their hands on in the early 50's. So drop in a souped up Inline 4 and let us do up a pure traditional Hi-Boy Tudor. Strip off the fenders, louver up the hood and listen to your skinny tires groan as you rip around the corners on your way to Vespucci! Sure hope you've secured that board down tightly! Again, rusted liveries are a must on this alongside the option to open up the roof in a similar manner to the Fiat from my last post. I just want one truly traditional style hot rod in the game. Leaf springs instead of coils, a vintage motor instead of a later model V8, and all sized correctly. The Rat Truck is massive, the Hotknife is a purely built track day car, and the Hustler is modern in everything but the body. Can we just get one throwback for the hipsters like me, Rockstar? Please?

I'd like to mention how it's near impossible to find good quality pictures of the Model B 55, So if you're thinking "Hey, that's a V8 powered Model 18!" or "Hey, that last picture is a 4 door sedan!" Shove it, man. I don't wanna hear it.

1961-65 Corvair Greenbrier

Ek2PGrb.jpg

Let's break up that Ford train. While there was a pickup variant of the "Corvair 95" model available to the public, the Greenbrier "Corvan" is more well known and well loved. Placed to perform against the likes of the VW Type 2 and the Ford Econoline, the Greenbrier is probably the best out of the three due to it's most "Unsafe at any speed" feature, the Swing-axle rear suspension. See, without anti roll bars, that style of rear suspension can cause massive oversteer, especially with a rear engined car like the Corvair. But it does generate a much smoother ride in comparison to those other large vans, so just remember to not over-inflate those rear tires! It's air cooled flat 6 only made about 80hp, but that is double the T2's rating. Of course though, it really wasn't successful. While it was set to compete with those two, it was priced much higher than them. And with GM releasing the more traditional FMR "Handi-Van" in 1964, it was only a matter of time for the poor Corvan. There were a few different models, though, and I'll leave it to you all what you think you'd rather see more in game. The "base" model was a 6 door, two up front, two on the right side, and two on the rear with three rows of bench seats sitting 9+ people. The 8 door model was the same except it added an extra 2 doors to the left side, originally sold with the intention of being good for loading and unloading fleet vehicles. And, of course, the Camper model that had an optional interior bed, couches, kitchen counters, a door mounted table and even Coleman stoves and coolers. Externally you could get a pop up roof for more head space inside, an attached tent and ladder set up to camp on top, or a factory luggage rack to strap your camping supplies or boards to! Personally, as neat as the Camper would be, I doubt R* would make any of it functional, so maybe having a new crew van that you could carry 8 friends in isn't that bad an idea. Like the others, both surf style graphics and rusted out looks should be available. Maybe some vintage speed shop graphics, alongside whatever else R* feels as long as they remember to let those of us who want to keep it stock do so.

Have you seen this plane before? based on a Beechcraft Baron 58 it's a Rutan Boomerang made by Burt Rutan as a solution to the lost of stability by engine failures while flying. It's was the first and only one made!

Curious fact: Burt Rutan is well-known for making unconventional plane designs.

Fun fact: It was actively used per years even with its interior unfinished.

1957-1966 Chrysler Imperial Crown

Often overlooked by its competitor, the Imperial Crown brand was a luxury car that combined all you could expect from an American car of his caliber : style, power and social status. The perfect executive car, limousine-like, tail fin, optional continental kit and the abundance of chrome all around the body makes it the perfect candidate for a casino update themed car. A car that evolved with its time ? The Imperial Crown.

1963-1965 DKW F1000-D

Evolution of the DKW Auto-Union F89, the "Schnellaster" (Rapid transporter) was certainly a precursor of the modern minivan. Produced from Finland to Spain (and even Argentina), this van experienced all kind of identity crisis, to be finally being re-branded as a Mercedes-Benz. As you can guess, D stands for Diesel. Interesting piece of machinery of the Cold War if I do say so myself.

1975 Citroën RE-2

In the early seventies Citroën tried to diversify their products by working on an helicopter project able to compete in the small segment of the civilian helicopter market. In an effort to bring more competition to the best-selling Bell 47, the project was directed by Charles Marchetti (chief engineer of the Sud-Aviation Alouette) and would use mostly parts from Citroën cars (2CV clutch for example). Most notable feature, it would use the same Wankel rotor engine from the M35 prototype and the GS Birotor. Unfortunately, even though the prototype was deemed successful they never got the right certification to produce them. The project was abandonned in 1979.

It's drier than the Mojave desert in a post-nuclear dry spell around here, so I'm making an emergency post to appease the rain gods. Here's a trio of weird-and-wild movie cars that I'd love to see in GTA Online at some point. It's a Cadillac, a Ford, and a Rolls-Royce. Let's get to it.

1959 Cadillac/Miller-Meteor Ecto-1

The famous Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters. No, not that one. The other one. Does this look like a Brougham to you? It's astonishing this hasn't turned up in Los Santos yet, just for the collectors.

Rolls-Royce FAB 1

Thunderbirds Are Go! And so is Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward's fabulously modified Rolls-Royce, FAB 1. Pink, powerful, and packed full of weapons, what more could you ask for in your daily driver?

Also yeah wow sorry about these images. I can't fix fifty-year-old British television encoding, and decided not to use images of full-size replicas of the prop.

1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Pusuit Special

You've got to be prepared in order to survive the apocalypse. Max Rockatansky happened to have the best car in Australia and the strongest will south of the prime meridian. Who wouldn't want to copy that formula in San Andreas?

Here's a list of some of the cars that I'd love to see, someday.

Pfister Comet Ahab (Super)

(Porsche 935 991.2)

What makes a good race car, you may ask? Stiff handling and great aerodynamics? A fine-tuned transmission, accompanied by a perfectly-balanced weight distribution? How about a long-ass tail, stretching out of the back, and to make it look even more ridiculous, putting a wing on top of it? Here you go, a race car to break records amongst records - and perhaps your spine, too!

Pfister Nova (Sports Classics)

If there is one thing, the Germans have learned from Italian car manufacturers and corporations, it is that they make the worst decisions, when it comes to relying on a driver. As a matter of fact, Italians have forgotten what professional racing is all about, giving awful orders to their drivers, and watching their German rival manufacturers reap the sows. A great car requires an even greater driver. But unlike Benefactor, we value our employees and our customers.

To create art, means to create a picture of yourself. To picture yourself, is to put a mirror in front of your eyes. To look into one's eyes, is to recognize yourself. We recognize art in the mirrored picture of our eyes, and ask ourselves, if the picture is real, or if our self tells us, whether it's art or artificial. Created by machines, admired by humans, this is our piece of art. Who are we to judge you?

Benefactor Singular (Super)

Only one can think it. Only one can visualize it. Only one can shape it. Only one can manifest it. Only one can build it. Only one can define it. Only one can finish it. Only one can drive it. Only one can master it. One may be many people, but one of us has the opportunity to become the only one to own it as if you and that car were the only thing in existence, forged together, and becoming -- one.

Dewbauchee Edge (Sports)

We get it. You think, our cars handle like boats, with the anchor stuck inside of the filthiest waters of the European seas. You, and your European jokes have made us sick. First, you want us to be elegant, then you call us flamboyant. Then, you want a bulky big-block engine, only to accuse us of being imposters. Now, we will give you what you deserve: A slap in the face, with tears on your face, and the salty smell of degradation.

Obey SL8 (Sedan)
(Audi A7 Sportback 2018)

Whereas our previous generation of vehicles now becomes the mid-life crisis selection, our newest and most re-defined line-up will focus on the very desires of our beloved generation Z. Automatic steering control, voice control, traction control - control over whatever you may desire. Even if there is a fine business woman, and we all know what her business is, you will control her, too. This is what Obey stands for.

This is a letter to all of those who said that we couldn't. We did. We have given you the best cars, we have ever made, before unveiling this legendary track monster. Despite our front-wheel-drive tradition, we dominated the Japanese racing scene for a long time. So we asked ourselves, how can we make this son of a bitch go faster? Then, it struck us like a thunder! How about we change the formula from FWD to AWD? And so, we now present to you: awesome-wheel-drive!

Pfister Weissach (Super)

Forget about Y2K and all the other non-sense, the media is trying to tell you. Throw out all of your electronics and go way back into your past, when cars would not have cameras that watch you masturbate to Candy Suxxx. Back then, all you needed for a proper climax, was an angry car, full of temper and carbon-fibre - so light that when it hits 200 miles per hour, it may actually lose ground and peform a backflip! Now, all you need to do, is make the landing.

Cheval Xinli (Super)

At first glance, it may look like somebody slapped a bodykit on top of a go-kart. To be fair, that is essentially what it is. A go-kart, with enough power behind the driver seat to peel off your face, as you push the foot down and start driving. And if you still manage to keep yourself together, just wait until you take a corner in this thing. Cheval Ltd. is not liable for any self-inflicted injuries due to: lack of vehicle management skills, traffic accidents, puking into your own face, and snapping your neck at 3.5G when taking a sharp turn.

Benefactor Mandingo (Coupé)
(Mercedes-Benz Maybach Six)

This is the car you need, if you wish to compensate for coming a little short. If you take your girlfriend out for dinner, make sure to buy her a foot-long sandwich. If you take her for a ride, make sure that she can enjoy a long, elegant rod of immense girth. Unfortunately, we know how small your pecker really is. But fear not, before anyone would ever think to nice personold you, we give you the opportunity to nice personold anyone else, by driving this boat of a car down the roads. Besides, who cares about parking spots, if you can boast about having a "big one"?

What about the Abarth 1500 Biposto? Designed by Franco Scaglione, it's the "big brother" of the later Alfa Romeo BAT models. It's the only one made, being a concept design thought for aerodynamic porpuses and introduction to new design ideas. the former automotive brand Packard bought the model to use it as an inspiration and base for their future designs. In 2011 it was restored and later added to the GT videogame franchise as an available model.

I normally would post what car I wish to see in GTA, but right now all I can think of, is asking one that I absolutly don' wanna see.
This car has only been recently revealed I really really hope that R* will make some good Muscle cars or Japanese Tuners instead of just jumping right on making another OP supercar that not to mention is ugly as HELL! It's like the retarded love child of the McLaren F1 Longtail and the McLaren P1, two cars that I totally love, but mix horribly in this new McLaren Speedtail

I won't be surprised if it's gonna cost $3,000,000. Heck, it may as well beat the 811 in top speed, but get a lap time that's barely in the Top 20 of Supers, because that thing can't turn. Also, advanced flags.

Quote

The Mercedes-Benz C111 was a series of experimental automobiles produced by Mercedes-Benz in the 1960s and 1970s. The company was experimenting with new engine technologies, including Wankel engines, diesel engines and turbochargers.

Is it really necessary to explain why this car should be included? Just look at this:

Since R* can go back & add new mods to older vehicles, how about they give the Comet Retro Custom the option of smoothed fenders?
