Finally, the Supra is here!

I know they made it look like the San Andreas Jester, but for me, the headlights (the actual headlights, not the headlight casing) are way too deep.

I still wish they made the front resemble the Mitsubishi FTO, but it is what it is & it's a nice homage to SA, I guess.

 

That's just my problem - we got the San Andreas Jester, but not the A80 Supra.

I mean that quite literally, too - it only looks Supra-ish, because that's what the Jester was based on in SA. Like I pointed out in the specific thread, whereas the Elegy Retro uses actual Skyline components in the design, this car is basically a freehand resculpt of the SA car, but without using any actual Supra reference material.

That's what works so well about things like the Hustler - R* could have just copied the San Andreas car without any changes, but instead, they used the opportunity to update the design and make it a faithful rendition of an actual '32 Ford.

Mine was a nicer way of saying "it's a disappointment, in terms of looks" but what you said is how I really feel about it lol

Lol - yeah, I tried being philosophical about it, but the best I can muster is 'this is for the San Andreas fans - now can the Supra fans get the car they wanted, too?'...

Which, again, isn't a totally outlandish idea - we got a McLaren-ish thing with the Tyrus, then a more faithful F1 with the GP1. Stands to reason we could request a proper Supra-ish thing (made by Karin, in Sports, with decent customisation), separate from the 'Karin Jester Classic'...

I can't see them making a proper Supra now, even a proper "Eleanor" Mustang, since the "Ellie" doesn't look right either.

 

My only hope now, is that they add a proper E36 M3 & a 2 door, shortened version of the Pfister Neon that isn't electric. A proper 911.

 

They have added a Regera/Agera & I'm very happy with it.

Did you know Peugeot is responsible for Porsche naming their sport car 911 ? Originally they were meant to be called 901. And this is the design that i'd like to suggest as the Comet Classic for today :

hey i couldn't help but notice the new Dominator has weird arches just like the 190z which kinda feels like...maybe these were built with GTA VI in mind and that has the framework officially to make the wheels fit the arches

 

but they're leaving all the mods in when they put them in gta v online for whatever reason

Sorry for the late post for this page, I've been busy managing the Fagaloa Appreciation Thread and enjoying the new update. But I won't forget my duty here, and so I've got a few cars to add to the never-ending wishlist today! Four cars. Three Americans and a European walk into a thread and they're a Cadillac, Lincoln, Checker, and a Mercedes. Nobody speaks German except the Mercedes, though the Checker knows a few phrases in... most languages, actually. Unfortunately, the Cadillac and Lincoln are too busy bickering to... I don't know where this joke is going. Into the trash! Let's get to the cars.

 

First-generation Lincoln Town Car

 

Anybody remember the Marbelle? I know the Dundreary Virgo has some of this look to it, but I would adore the return of the Marbelle. Look at those full-length tail lights... And, hey, this thing was in Point Break!

 

Second-generation Cadillac Series 62

 

Technically something I've already mentioned here in a post about LA Noire vehicles from some time ago. But it's my friend's dream car, and @SilentSoul21's sketches of it as the Broadway are amazing.

 

Mercedes-Benz 600

 

One of those considerably rare, super-luxury, dubious-history vehicles that has drawn desire and ire its entire life. Another prime candidate to have the "luxury" champagne and internet interface for ground vehicles.

 

Checker Marathon

 

Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit in love with this car. Like the original Willys MB, Land Rover Series II, or Volkswagen Beetle, the Marathon is a beautiful combination of iconic utilitarianism and classic style. Plus, I wouldn't be too upset over a weaponized conversion in the style of Quarantine's hovercab. Coincidentally, Imagexcel, the company that made Quarantine, is now Rockstar Toronto!

Does anybody thinks the engine sounds on GTA 4 are better than the ones in GTA 5, at least the civilian non-sports car type of vehicle?

 

I've been playing GTA 4 and the EFLC again on my pc and I find the engine sounds more fitting. The cars seems to be more realistic, I don't know.

Nah I definitely think the engine sounds in GTA V are the best grand theft Auto has ever had, by a huge margin.

P.S. these are just two examples, but there were a lot more with good engine sounds!!!

When I got to follow the Kuruma to get to the sourced vehicle, I always jump on my brown Stanier, just to get the detective vibe hahahaha but when I was driving, I felt that something was missing... Only hours after the last post, but it's a new page and a new day! If you missed it, be sure to go back and check out yesterday's post. I understand it's an exciting time here on the forums with the new update. But, the cars! And a bike! Today's line-up of automotive transportation is special to me, as it's all inspired by one of my all-time favorite movies. All of these vehicles (or approximations) were in the film! I'll let you guess what it is, but meanwhile, take a look at the rides! A Peugeot, a Fiat, and a... Birmingham Small Arms? Huh. Also a little kicker at the end!

I'm always an advocate for old, World War-era bikes, and the Bantam (while not exactly a Brough-Superior) is one of those very bikes! Is there an engine in there? Does anybody know?

What a fancy-looking car. My God. The 402 came in a lot of varieties, and I'm partial to the longer, sedan models, but the styling of the entire family is enough to win me over. Look at those curves! Kinda reminds me of a Chrysler Airflow...
