R*'s not allowed to use real car sounds, right? Could explain why they sound so sh*t.

I don't see why they wouldn't. You can't very well copyright a sound as generic as combustion and metal rattling.

I don't know what the sounds they use for cars really are, but, uh, I would imagine they're just recordings of and edits upon actual sounds made by actual vehicles. Unless somebody with an audio engineering background can instruct me otherwise, that is.

I've got three classic rides this time, and one's European! The other two are Plymouth.

I think for vehicle sounds they just remix their existing ones? I remember in an article about need for speed 2015 they were bragging about how they used the real sounds from each real vehicle, as opposed to remixing it like everyone else

I think forza 4 was the last one of those with real sounds before they started remixing them in the later ones, too

It kinda makes sense for GTA considering how many cars there are total and also the fact that none of them are, like, real, but on the other hand that's what got said about the copy-paste interiors initially

ANYWAYS: it's kind of a bummer that the established "old comet" look doesnt have colourable headlight rings like the real 911s doo becasue that's a pretty fun point of customization

The Dukes is based on the '69 Dodge Charger, if we got a Buffalo Classic a first or third generation Charger would work well, but I'd prefer a first gen. I completely agree with everything else you mentioned.

Yeah, some Google searching has proven me wrong. I guess R* is just lazy then.

The sounds have been excellent on pretty much every dlc car in the last 2 years.

I just don't think they're as loud and aggressive as they should be.

I honestly don't pay much attention to the sounds (for whatever stupid reason is wrong with my brain) but I think that may be because the stock exhausts are generally supposed to be.. well.. stock, and somewhat muffled. And unfortunately (I could be wrong, but I haven't noticed a difference) changing the exhaust options doesn't change the note. Now, it would be nice if changing the exhaust option changed the sounds and made them louder or quieter.. and if they do get louder or quieter already, then I wonder what's wrong with my brain that I haven't noticed.

Edited for apostrophes, just like every other freakin' time I edit something.

The Dukes is also a model from 2008 and doesn't resemble a charger that much. It looks almost more like a Pontiac GTO than a charger, I think we should get a new 2018 quality charger without a split grille under Bravado.

Before I even add my wish list I just want to wish for new wheels... C'mon R* .. flipping hell.. it can't be that hard to implement, and you could make a killing.. you could jack up the prices cos we will pay them anyway, just give them to us. It's silly to think how limited we are especially when you factor out the wheels that you don't personally like or don't suit certain vehicles, we are not left with a lot of choice and we have lots of cars wearing the same shoes. Please give us like 50 new types when you add the super garage for 100/200 vehicles aswell😉

Ok.. so this is really a random thought, (and I know it's more of a southern thing anyway), but what about a moonshine running update? With classics from the 20's and 30's, to expand on the ones we already have, all the way through to the 50's and 60's, including some 60's cars with optional nascar style liveries?

I just realized a company that has not been used yet and I guess it go under the vulcar brand.

What about a few SAAB's the 99 turbo would be a great addition on its own.

We have the truck horn and the cop horn.. we need a train horn option. And a steam whistle, just for the hell of it.

I'm assuming it's a French car, by the name? Personally, I think there should be more French cars in the game...it seems that the major European countries' cars are represented (Germany, Italy, UK etc.) but France is left out? Some classic Peugeots would be lovely, like the 205 GTI.

I count two Vulcar brand cars in the game as far as I know (the Ingot and the Warrener). We need more than just two!

SAAB's are pretty underrated, in my opinion. That's probably why we've seen none really represented in-game. Either that, or since SAAB don't make cars any more (defunct as of 2013, if I recall), it might not make much sense to have them post-2013. No excuse not to add them, though!

We do have atleast two Citroën-based vehicles in the game. The Canis Kalahari and the Lampadati Pigalle, one more wholly based on the French car than the other. Then there's also the Truffade nameplate, based on Bugatti, which includes the Z-Type, Adder, and Nero. Five cars, one of which is just an update of another, is a sorry showing from French automobiles in a game that has a Holden parody. With the hipster and car culture of Los Santos, more Citroëns would be expected to turn up, at least.

On the topic of having vehicles which are of nameplates which no longer produce, it's silly to think that would be a reason vehicles wouldn't make their way into GTA. We've got Pontiacs aplenty, a DeLorean, the few Holdens, (technically) an Oldsmobile, and Hummer. If it's popular enough, or a good enough idea, a car can make it into the game, no matter the real-world standing or occurrence.

I've got a handful of strange, known and unknown vehicles for this entry to the wishlist, from around the world (but mostly Europe). And including a motorcycle this time! There's quite a few, so I'll put the images in spoilers.

I'd really love Saab to get represented, even if they only add a 900 turbo. It's just such a unique design, and being from a defunct manufacturer would help with the copyright thing.

True to be honest you do not see many SAAB's in England either anymore, but there are a few Hollywood films that feature SAAB's,

"Moving" with Richard Pryer a SAAB had almost a leading role.

Jack Nicholson drove one in "As good as it gets".

Dudley Moore in "Crazy people"

I think there was one in "Deep Impact" and "A time to kill"

Also some TV series like Seinfeld and Burn notice.

I am sure there are more examples of them being used in American Media but they are ones I can think of at the moment.

A clip of Moving

edit, I have not watched that film for years and after watching the clip I just realized who the other actor was, 10 points if you can recognize him.

I know an old fellow who remember seeing a lot of Simca back there in Tennessee when he was younger. But i can understand that those brands aren't very present anymore. I'm just here hoping to get some interesting brands R* could give us. Saab sure would be nice ! Edited by DoxerWhite

And coming back around, most of the cars I mentioned earlier have examples in the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville. Huzzah, European cars in Tennessee.

I've seen a few Saabs around the country, but never many in one place. Almost all of them were the first generation 900.

Actually that is my mistake. I meant Nashville. Yeah I've been to Lane several times now. That is what I was talking about lol.
