This looks so amazing!! I can't believe as of 2016 noone has ever finished a mod like this before, it just makes perfect sense for this to exist and it's gonna be so much fun to play. Best of luck with yours

Is it just me want to keep it original and how it really is? why you need to use different model from other games. For me better keep it that way i like it.Keep it up.

@universetwisters Yes, I wanna keep the style of the game consistent. So I'm looking for low poly PS1 type cars and peds. I'm referring to games such as driver, which would fit in the era perfectly.

also since vice city is the city thats being focused on. Here are some of the vehicle styles and decals that should be included on some of the vehicles (mostly emergency vehicles)

I really hope someone converts Driver cars to Vice City/III, I tried it myself but I failed horribly at it.

They're really low-poly, but I still like 'em for some reasons.

@deadman23 Wow impressive work, this is exactly the type of style we were looking for. Do you have a Skype I contact you at?

 

I'll covert both types of your vehicle, one with transparent windows and one with blacked out and we'll all see what looks better in-game.

Nice to see that Ss4gogeta0 raised enough initiative for this project and we are slowly seeing his vision come to reality. That's the spirit, man.

The map is looking really flat because there is no vertex coloring. Because the map is so damn low poly, per vertex coloring is not gonna give you any good results.

So here is what you could do:

Tessellate all the polygons 2 to 3 times so there is a sufficient amount of vertex data.

Add a radiosity solution. Read up it about it here, here and look up '3ds max radiosity solution' on google.

Driver has a 256 vertices limit, if you're really desperate you could try and obey that :D
