-Davo Posted February 2, 2003 Share Posted February 2, 2003 LEVEL 228 VIGILLANTE MISSIONS!!!!!!! i got boared at 11pm last nite and dicided to do some vig missions in the hunter, and i got to level 122 by 2am, and went to bed, woke up at like 12 and played for 1.5 hours, got to level 228, i was RACKING in the money, and i killed the guys, and was on my way to kill some more, and my f*cking game froze!!! im so cut why the hell does it do this? i use NO cheats, will the game un-freeze after time? anyone else had this annoying problem? oh, and i noticed my hunter is pritty much invincible (?!?!?) it won't produce smoke after being shot at 600 times buy shotguns, rocket launchers, uzi's, ak47's, and ramming into tanks, buildings, other cars etc... But that seems logical it proly froze cuz u left ur ps2 on overnight.. thats never good for it. what do u mean ur hunter is invincible? was this after the game froze? i thought u said it was still frozen... well, the fan helps it to be left on for extended periods of time. I noticed i was pritty much invincible at about level 40 before it froze the game froze, and i had to reset it. It froze again later on, i was up to level 20 or something and it froze on me. I've always found that when you're on fire, and in a vigilante mission, you can't stop yourself from blowing even though you've just elimanated a criminal...you should just blow... I see your 'freezing game incident' as unlucky. Maybe you do have some dust around your ps2..or it's overheated.. The Precinct - We're upping our standards, so up yours! I was bein' chased by the FBI when I was in my tank on vigilante missions..the radio carried on playing..just the screen froze..and the sirens just repeated themselves..very annoying..considering I did a lot that time I played Vice..and it wasn't saved. My PS2 froze twice while doing vigilante miss with tank... and I have found MY reason of that because the ventilator was covered by a little table cloth not to get dust to the surface of my loving PS2 ....and the air getting from ventilator was hotter than usually.... so BE CAREFULL ABOUT YOUR PS2, BUT NOT A LOT... Mine has a nasty habit of freezing when I'm on full stars and I'm taking pot shots from my hotel window. I think it may be a problem of zooming in with the sniper rifle through a window. -Davo Posted February 6, 2003 Author Share Posted February 6, 2003 We got a few possable reasons for why the Ps2 crashes: -warmer air than usual/air vents glogged up. -6 stars on wanted level -radio -long periods of time turned on I'll take these into consideration next time im whopin some seroius ass I did the vig missions again on tuesday after school and i got to level 218 when i was shooting at the car, the guys got out, 3 of them were killed in the explosion, one ran away in between 2 tanks and i went down lower to the ground to see where the hell exactly where he was, found his, i was shootin' at him but oh no! the f*cker wont die! stupid idiot was hiding, so i got alittle lower, and a bloody tank rammed my ass (dont laugh) and i blew the sh*t up. kept my money, and crim rating, it kicks ass.
