We've decided to try dipping our toes into International waters by launching some new language-specific forums in the GTA section.The new areas will be aimed at members who might have limited English or members who simply enjoy taking part in discussions in their native tongue. In the past we have always gone by an unspoken rule of "This is an English speaking forum so speak English", as such these members might feel alienated from posting, and as the biggest Grand Theft Auto community on the Internet we have decided to take measures to allow these members to contribute and interact instead of lurking.The new forums will be primarily for discussing anything about the GTA games and GTA Online, but off-topic discussions are also welcome.We obviously cannot include every single language in the world immediately, so we'll be creating them as needed based on your feedback and suggestions. We'll be introducing them slowly to ensure there is a current staff member who is able to communicate fluently. We'll also be heavily relying on you as upstanding members of the community to report any rule-breaking content as standard across GTAF GTA International 55 Link to post Share on other sites

It would be great to communicate with other members in Dutch, so I hope that the Dutch language is going to be featured very soon. Obviously, these are early days so we will just have to see how things pan out. I'm particularly hopeful that we can establish a GTA Help and Support thread in each language sub-forum too. I think it would be of massive benefit to the global GTA Community if we can invite and accommodate folks who have a problem, to reach out to us and get help in their own language, rather than expecting them to struggle to formulate their question in English all the time. 3 Link to post Share on other sites

It seems like a good idea on paper, but it reminds me how I learned decent (more or less) english mostly from GTAForums. I feel that if we had that feature back when I started using GTAF back in 2007, I would never be at same level of proficiency as of now; rather would stick to my polish fellows. We'll be introducing them slowly to ensure there is a current staff member who is able to communicate fluently.Right now I'm not too certain there's a staff member who speaks polish, so I'm not sure they'll be able to make one as of yet. Yes, I am aware of this, I'm a member of that community as well, however, I have heard that some members rather join this website than the Dutch forum due to the fact that the community we are speaking of is slowly dying. Poland has a strong modding community (with our God named Silent) and it's the only site where Polish mods can be discussed (there was a Polish site gtasite.net, but after latest forum redesign it's not user-friendly anymore). English classes are mandatory in Poland, but a 12-year-old kids or guys with only E marks may not understand what we're talking about.
