GTA SA : Driver Parallel Lines​

I don't think we're allowed to make conversions of any non-Rockstar game past 2005. Driver: Parallel Lines came out in 2006, so, that means this topic will be locked in about a few minutes or an hour.

Actually it's PS2/Early PC days it could be allowed as it's not being sold wide any more.

 

  • Conversions from non-Rockstar games to a GTA - You can convert as much assets as you want from games created in 2005 and before, that includes the entire map of the game. The only conversions allowed from games created after 2005 are props. Props can be a tree, lamppost, chair, etc.. You are not allowed to convert things other than props like characters, buildings, vehicles, etc..

 

Categorize it however you like, it's still a game from 2006.

If you want to have clear conscience you must close most of topics in this forum. I don't know for what this rule is since we have 2015. So only 10 years games :/ It's bullsh*t!!! Even 20% of web users don't have more.

But if it´s really all about 10 years, this mod shouldn´t be a big problem, as 2016 is not far away and the mod is not expected to come before that.

I loved this game but do you have any sort of modding skill (for Driver PL)? A picture taken from gamespot and a map image isn't pretty much what I expected when I clicked this topic :/

 

I don't care if you do have the skills or not, it's not my business.

 

Since I wanted to mod this game a while ago I don't think it's going to be very easy to do so.

If this does end up being allowed are you planning on doing both the 1978 map and the 2006 map or just the 1978?

The Driver PL city is split into various different sections and is a convoluted mess according to the Driver Modding team. and they havnt even been able to extract the whole thing, yet they have been working on it since 2010 or so...

 

your best bet would be to use the Driver 2 cities that I ported 90% completely into 3DS max.

there is .D4C file that I'm trying to open at HxD hex editor but still cant export the files

It's a better compromise than the rule we had pre-2015 which was any conversion at all isn't allowed. Along with that, OP didn't follow any other rule which is you need to have work to show before creating a topic in the Showroom, so yeah. (op you don't seem to have any clue to what your doing)
