Do you love Designing Your Own Missions? Well now you can (again)! Create your mission from a variety of objectives and options, and share it with the world! The mod is in development, and I'll be adding more features.

Known Issues
- Waypoints system not implemented yet.
- Cutscenes not implemented yet.
- Some things dont work while using the on foot camera.

Requirements & Installation
1. Download RAGE Plugin Hook and install it.
3. Drag everything from the zip into your GTA5 directory.
4. Start the game using RAGEPluginHook.exe
5. Once ingame, press F8!

Troubleshooting
If you're having issues with the mod, follow the next steps:
1. Run the game as admin
2. Download the latest RAGEPluginHook.
If that didn't work, post a link to your RagePluginHook.log file and I'll try to help you.

Sure, your mission is a single .xml file that resides in Plugins/Missions folder.

Try pressing F4 while in-game and typing LoadPlugin MissionCreator.dll

New version is out, featuring waypoints! Now you can create full fledged cutscenes and enemies that actually do something.

the plugin crashes everytime i click play mission since your new update :( i cant play any missions created now.

by the way well done your doing a really good job with this mod

it dosent work :-( everytime i start with RAGE the programm asks to verify it, which i do and then it says misioncreator crashed :(

Guad, this and your map editor are without equal. Incredible interfaces, many options and most of the features actually work. The Mission Creator is so precise I was able to make a

Will you keep working on it? If so, I’d like to propose a few things. First, a few bug fixes:

 

- If you spawn an actor inside a car, you cannot pick a weapon for them. Additionally, trying to determine waypoints for them leads to the interface disappearing when you back out of the screen. It cannot be made to show up again, and requires a save game being reloaded to fix it. One could spawn the actor outside the car and tell them to enter it, but...

 

- ... the EnterVehicle waypoint seems to work only for a single character. Try telling multiple actors to enter one car and they don’t do it – it seems they won’t enter the car unless they’re to drive it.

 

- The Shoot waypoint doesn’t work, although it is useful to get a character facing a certain way.

 

- You cannot rotate a copied actor, and the weapon of the original actor isn’t copied.

 

- Mission Fail On Death always throws up the message “An ally has died”, regardless of whether that character was in fact an ally (easy fix: make message customizable, just like an objective’s name is).

 

And now some suggestions. I know some are way trickier than others, perhaps impossible or too hard to pull off. This is just what I think is missing, and simply for your consideration. Do with this what you will:

 

Waypoint Looping: option to have a character’s last waypoint loop back into the first waypoint, or any other previous waypoint, and just keep looping. Great for setting up patrols.

Wander Radius: option to set up how far from their spawnpoint an actor can wander.

Opinion Radius: option to change an actor’s opinion of you depending on how close you are.

Vision Radius: option to set up how far an actor can see (just like accuracy).

 

Waypoint Persistence: an option to have an actor follow their waypoints no matter what (except dying, of course). The default should continue to be that they stop following the waypoints when scared, but the option to force them to follow waypoints would be useful (say you have to protect a character from being killed -- if they stop following their waypoints at the first sign of gunfire and just flee randomly, the mission will suck).

Play as Yourself: an option to set up a spawnpoint and that’s it. No need to specify which character model and which loadout; you play as whoever you’re playing as and with your existing loadout.

Animation Index: the animation waypoint could be integrated with the animation index from Actor Manager. The animations you can currently choose from are actually very useful and should stay as they are, but there could be the extra option to specify an animation from the index.

Scenario Waypoint: have an actor play a scenario for a certain amount of time or indefinitely.

EnterVehicleAsPassenger Waypoint: self-explanatory.

Behavior Change on Objective Completion: change the behaviour of existing actors when an objective is completed, rather than having to spawn new actors.

Move and Rotate Objects and Actors That Have Already Been Placed: currently, you can’t do that.

 

Actor Customization and Persistence: currently, Mission Creator picks the character model randomly, which can cause continuity issues. When clicking on an actor, “Appearance” could be a subcategory in the menu and work similarly to Skaaj’s Simple Trainer.

Mission Fail Radius: mission fails if player leaves the radius of an objective (useful if the objective is an actor the player has to chase).

Whichever Map Editor Features Can Be Ported: tricky, I know, especially given that one’s for Scripthook Dot Net and the other’s on Rage Plugin Hook. But it’s obvious how well the two would go together. Whatever can be ported to Mission Creator would enrich it immensely.

 

That’s what I have in mind with what I've made so far. GTA 5's systems are fairly rudimentary (half-baked stealth system, for example) and so a great degree of script control is needed to make any memorable missions.

 

Hope you like at least some of these suggestions, and thanks a lot for two amazing mods (and several others you’ve been making).
