Go into your settings.

Select >> Allow movement when zoomed in

Select the marksman rifle.

Switch into first person view (increases staffing speed)

Do a little dance

Hopefully, get shot in the face.

I have just always automatically gone for my heavy sniper , but you say marksman ? Thinking about it the marksman has instant zoom so would you recommend that in a pvp sniper fight

It's all about range and quickly judging distances on the mini map.

If I have identified that my opponent is using the Heavy sniper then that's what I'll use too. If they are competent with the marksman rifle then they already have me in their optimum range. These dudes are mobile, fast and effective. They generally use bikes to juggle you out of auto aim range and just inside the Danger Zone (phrasing).

For every one dancing marksman I have killed with a heavy sniper, I have died 4+ times. To be clear, you are at a major disadvantage facing a ranged marksman with the Heavy sniper.

I do not strafe when using the Heavy sniper

I do strafe when using the marksman

Don't fight their fight, move back or up and get them outta their range and into your heavy sniper sweet spot. This can take some time and strategy (off radar works well). But when you do finally put one in their melon, that flash of red mist is most satisfying.

its no tv sketch

I like to use the heavy against marksman fighters when possible. Quick sideway strafe to one direction from cover*(already zoomed in & height adjusted of course) and bang. Need full health & armor doing it like this, because usually they get a hit or two.

*buildings etc as cover, not the r1 cover

I do like how the marksman guys need 2 clips while at most I need 5 shots with the heavy. Edited by onefast96svt

Then again, it's not like you can stuff an RPG (or three) down your back pocket into hammerspace in real life, so the issue of scopes kinda goes out the window.

True, just some of the mechanics of this game get to me.
