Well, once a Hermes appeared out of nowhere, drove around for a bit, then I lost track of it. I guess the AI screwed up and placed that instead of a Caddie. I have a screenshot I took with my digi if anyone's interested. 2) Occasionally, you jack a car with more than one person and the passanger gets back in. This time, I stole a police car, and none other than the COP RIDING SHOTGUN gets back in! I was rammed off the bridge to Starfish Island and he died in the car with me. Brenteus Maximus Posted June 8, 2003 Share Posted June 8, 2003 ok i have something very weird and i included a screenshot. so i'm driving along the main drag on the second island and i pass by this thing: i thought i was hallucinating at first but i turned around and it was still there so i got out of my car and took this shot. i dunno what happened here but i thought it was worth posting. i also managed to blow the truck up and the wreckage still remained sunken in the road. very strange. vcpc Posted June 9, 2003 Share Posted June 9, 2003 Using the "seaways" cheat, while I'm cruising along by the lighthouse rocks out in the bay (a little NW of the lighthouse), as I pull close to the rock edge (you have to go really slow), there appears tommy sitting in the water in front of my car. If I pull forward, he magically goes right through the car until he ends up in back of it. I've been able to duplicate this anomoly numerous times. I think the original Tommy is still sitting inside the car I'm driving while the floating tommy appears. Anyway - kinda strange and fun. This screen shot is untouched except to crop it. After about 2 minutes, a cop came out of nowhere, opened the passenger door, turned off the chopper (so the blades stopped moving), and then ran back off the edge of the building. Brenteus Maximus Posted June 11, 2003 Share Posted June 11, 2003 i had another interesting thing happen the second time i played the "jury Fury" mission (where you "convince" the jury to find giorgio forelli not guilty). when you go beat up on the first juror guy he jumps into his car and i know from the first time i played that he's supposed to crash into a truck that drives by so you can break off the door and pull him out. but the second time i played the mission the juror got in his car and pulled out but the truck he was supposed to run into never spawned... so he crashed into thin air but acted as if the truck had been there. it was interesting. Brenteus Maximus Posted June 12, 2003 Share Posted June 12, 2003 Hardy: yeah that's what i figured happened. the model just dind't load. but it was funny seeing the juror's car smash into thin air. i wish i'd taken a screenshot of that. i had another weird thing happen to me last night and maybe it's happened to some of you too. i was doing some unique jumps at the airport and every so often i saw a few cars driving in a circle in the middle of the airfield. there were no roads nearby but a group of cars would load and just drive in a circle out on parts of the airstrip. very strange. AxER Posted June 15, 2003 Share Posted June 15, 2003 The cars are often at the airport. The old style buses are the best because they look like they're transporting prisoners. I was on a fairly routine 'kill/main/destroy/ everything in my path' riding a black PCJ600 heading up north on the road that Sun Shine autos is on when as I came to the T intersection I was a police car coming from either direction. Anticipating my most certain crash I jumped off but an odd thing, that I've never seen before, happened. The cop car heading west hit the front of the bike and the cop car heading east hit the back. Tommy went straight upwards (instread of rolling to the side like he's supposed too) and the bike must have done about 8-9 360's directly below him and Tommy stayed, as if standing on the spinning bike, the entire time. The bike then fell on its side and Tommy, unharmed landed on his feet. The cop cars had rolled and both exploxed and Tommy was free to ride away. Bloody strange that was. EDIT: This probably goes under 'interesting' as oppose to weird... I was flying the ol Sea Sparrow about the docks (near the huge crain) and took an interest in the crain. Quickly discovering I couldn't get high enough to land on the crain I went to one of the two metal structures either side of it a little to the south. I first landed my heli right on top of the left structure (if your facing south) It appeared solid (it was very difficult to land on) yet Tommy fell straight through to the ground below. I later returned with my another Sea Sparrow. Upon my return I took a slightly safer landing spot on the same structure yet a little lower, on a platform/crate type dealy. I began to sniper people but unfortunatley fell clean off...but wait...whats this? I didn't hit the ground. It had appeared that I'd landed on a girder...however I wasn't stading on the girder. The girder pretrudes from the structure in a rectangular fashion yet the apparantley transparant middle is completley solid. You can walk around to your hearts content. ...eventually the whine of the police siren got to much for me and I had to jump down and blow up the police car. Drive with a car up the stairs heading for the right wall so that you jump over the shelves, or walk in and jump from one shelf to the other and then against the right wall. You will fall through. ---------- I was driving at the Leaf Links (jumped over from near the Paint 'n Spray) without any previous trouble with the cops, and a minute later I saw this cop car driving the circular course again and again pretty fast. Don't know where it came and why. Considering the driving style it looked like the 'problem' with the cars at the airport. ---------- And here are some people (onlookers?) acting very strangely after I killed a person. ---------- And another thing: You all know cops are chasing criminals, and you get a bonus when knocking the criminal down. But once, near Sunshine Autos, I watched some of my own guards chasing another one of my own guards! I even got the Good Citizen Bonus when I knocked him down! Well then they deserved a Katana, and then Ambulance appeared out of nowhere.... BTW, try replacing Police cars and caddies and ambulances with hearse, looks hilarious. But I don't understand what they're doing there. the few times i've seen them i remember them being sports cars. i know two of the times i saw them they were all cheetahs. i suppose they could be racing at the airport. that's the only explanation i can think of cause as you said, they're too obvious to be a simple glitch. I ended up surrounded by all these short as cops, they were about a foot and half shorter than they were supposed to be. It was very strange because they weren't all fat either, just tiny wee cops. I started a stoppie, but my back wheel flipped around so I was going backwards and when I landed it, I didn't get a stoppie bonus, but I got an insane stunt with 3 ft of height, no distance, and 2 flips. Anyway...i was drivin around and saw a golf caddy... As the evil grin covered my face i raced toward him...to see how far he would fly....except he didn't....my car was going pretty damn fast and it acted like i hit a wall...i flew upward...strait over the caddy and right into the ocean! From then on i stay away from the evil caddys! Edit: Just remembered another 1! I was on a PCJ 600 at high speed when a car pulled out in front of me and to avoid the crash i bailed...except it didn't go as expected tommy lept of and was hit by a car driving up from behind and flew forward....just in time for my bike to flip onto me! wierd thing was the car that pulled out disappered...while i could see it! AxER Posted July 11, 2003 Share Posted July 11, 2003 I don't know if this happens on a regular basis (I've had VC since christmas and only been carjacked twice in all that time) but I was in a recently jacked Banshee when I skidded onto the sidewalk to pick up a hooker. In my not so amazing side skid onto the walk way I zipped infront of some guy in a white shirt. The guy yelled something and as the hooker was getting in the car he ran up and punched the back of my new wheels. ...does this happen often? (You'll be happy to know I did what all good GTAer's do and put a cap in his flabby ass.) Another thing which had never occured before to me and is obviously a glitch was when I was riding my faggio through the airport and hit the bottom of one of the landing tunnels pretruding from the terminal. (I had just landed a jump). The screen went white for a second and I then appeared inside the tunnel as if I'd walked there. I ran outside and got my scooter back. Being the kind pedestrian, I, as normal, crashed into them, t knock them off their bikes. One guy, in a pink suit, however, fell on top of my car, and got up, and just stood there, walking about, until he fell off onto a mailbox. I ran him over then. Funny that you should find a beach ball on the beach of all places. Yes you can play the same game with that ball no matter where it happens to appear, just yesterday I was playing and I found it in the Golf Course. I spent a lot of time in the Golf Course yesterday and shortly after I had left down neat Pole Posistion the golfer people kept spawning. I first noticed it when I went to inspect a hit and walk, switching to first person I heard "Hey there boy scout." so I look to my left and theres an old lady from the country club. Well i hit it and flew upward....as i came down i saw a ped walking right where i was about to land but insted of flattenin hit i bounced off!! it was so wierd..he just kept on walking as my car bounced off his head and into a wall!!! until i chased him down with my trusty chainsaw! I was working on the Paramedic Missions and I was on level twelve and I was going to my very last patient and I was like to Mr_WongS (he's here for two weeks) "Look at this man, I'll run him over" and I said that for a joke and just before I got to him, I braked and missed him, then I accidentally reversed into him and killed him!!!
