2016 Valentine DLC Thread

Isn't it a bit early for Valentines Day Update talk? It just turned 2016 yesterday. I'm more interested in what this month's Update will be. Low riders 2? New Mission pack? Or just some bug fixes that doesn't actually fix anything.

 

I'm probably in the minority here, but I actually like, and hope they keep the Valentines Day stuff a 1 time thing. Sure it may suck for the people that missed out, but in a way it's a bit of a shout out for those have been on GTAO since Day 1. Besides, if they re-release the Roosevelt, how am I gonna get all those "modder", and "hacker" accusations when bringing it out for missions, heists, and freeroam?

I've been on GTAO since day 1 and missed out on Roosevelt because I stopped playing for a few months during the billionaire era where everyone had every vehicle it got real lame online. Have all other classic and limited vehicles Roosey is the only one I'm missing. They re-released every other DLC and given discounts on top of it. It's irritating this is the only one they are being selective with.

I'm sure as f*ck I don't.And I never will.PC's are way better and way more practical for what I'm doing so I'm gonna stick to them till the end of time.

I'd have played GTA in 2013 too, but sadly, R* didn't give a sh*t about PC as a platform.

I kind of think the Festive Surprise Update 2015 is the January update. It was the same thing with Lowriders + Halloween Surprise. Technically they released 2 updates in October, but it seemed as if Lowriders was the October update and Halloween was the a few days earlier November update. We already had the Executives in December, so I would be surprised if they announce more than a Red Hook Bicycle Tournament 2016.

Simple, just level up. Everything over 300 is a confirmed hacker. Everybody knows it, you can't even deny it. You're just sitting there, waiting to turn on your rape mod. You're disgusting. *reported*

Hell you don't even have to be level 300 to attract the leaches some times. 223 and I get asked every other pub session. Honestly, I more expect it out of low levels that seemingly have everything.

 

But seriously though, to all of those bickering that the Sweeper/Roosevelt should be a last gen exclusive. Get off your soap box. You're not special snowflakes, none of this is physically tangible. Doesn't take an actual modder 20 or so seconds to knock you off your soap box anyway. So seriously, get over it. Go collect REAL tangible objects in RL and let people who want trinkets in a game have their trinkets. Eventually all of this will be for not because it'll one day get shut down; so none of the "exclusiveness" will matter anyway.

As I said before I am a day 1 PS3 player who was unable to get the VD DLC. Don't deprive other people... there was already a sweetener for returning PS3 players no? That's not sufficient?

In real life it is the same: they don't reprint rare stamps from 1927 because every stamp-collector should be able to buy them. That would make it dull and boring. I know there are a lot of car collectors, so r* would mess with rosy owners pretty hard. I also see it as a reward for loyal gtav players, being there everytime.

 

I personally would love it if the clothing comes back (even for a limited time), so I can create a female character and buy those awesome clothes...giggitty gig!

If you're that big into collecting, collect something you can hold; not a polygon/pixel render that's mildly interactive.

Title in RL, like "Sir" is not interactive neither.

Intelectual Property has its own virtual/personal value. it doesnt need to be physical. and driving a Roosevelt is pretty physical in terms of playing a game. its an in-game unique object. not someones "idea".

As I said earlier, a catsuit. It can easily be created using the same texture as leggings, just with a little more shine, similar to when they are wet. Just cos' its Valentines DLC, doesn't actually mean it'll be the Massacre again. The DLC might not even come

then why has rockstar re-released nearly every other "limited time" item? I bought the Liberator summer of 2014 also believing it was "limited time" but it comes back around summer 2015 with a 25% discount. Explain again why the Valentine's Day DLC is so special from the other DLCs?

The thing is, if R* was to do something for Valentines day this year; why wouldn't they recycle content? I mean sure, they may add more to it but for them to completely abandon the content already available and start with something completely fresh for something seasonal, it just doesn't add up. Though I could be completely wrong, so don't quote me on knowing how R* does things; because I don't. It's all speculation at the moment anyway.

The non-existing valentine's content for new ps4/xbox1 gta-players has nothing to do with the transition from last to new gen. It was not available anymore in the last months of last-gen before current gen was even launched. It was temporary on last gen.

 

I don't collect cars or such in gta, just like to have some nice ones. I don't see why digital things can't be collected and real-tangible do. Yeah well, you know, that's like your opinion man.

Never said it was special, just rare because it was available for a limited time. I don't know why rockstar made temporary dlc's from the past available again for some time (like the independance day dlc) and valentine's dlc not (yet).

Pretty much the only reason people want is because others have it and they don't.

Even if they released it, less than 5% will actually use it just like buffalo(franklin, limited edition cars, returning player bonus and even past limited time content)

I own one and hate the hipster mentality most Roosevelt owners have. Everyone should get to have one.

b...but everyone had a chance to get one, they just had to be active players during between the weeks of february 13 and march 3, 2014.

 

 

 

I'd like a chance at the Sweeper but we never got any info on if it was a one time event and if not, why it was skipped on 2015.

 

However, something to keep in mind is that old gen is now obsolete gen. Rockstar has abandoned it from the development standpoint. If you are still playing on old gen, you will not get any more updates. Do not use the VD clothes, Roosevelt or Sweeper as some kind of coping mechanism. You would just be setting yourself for disappointment in case new gen gets a Valentine's DLC just like it happened with Independence Day.

if R* re-release the valentines dlc, chances are ps3/360 would get it too, after all we already have the content downloaded, they just have to "flip a switch" to activate it.

Many of you think Rockstar should NOT re-release VD content because some of you don't want others to have it? Most of you are also ignoring the fact that it was skipped last year and that the content itself caused issues on last gen, which I'm assuming played a factor in the decision to skip it.

 

So, from what I gather, because Rockstar focused on heists and skipped re-releasing content last February, that means your "rare" car should in fact be "rare" forever?

 

You guys do realize how childish this all sounds, I also realize that I'm wasting my time responding but I can't help pointing out that your "rare" car is a pile of sh*t. I could understand if they temporarily released a Delorean inspired time traveling (or at least teleporting) car that truly did something special, but it's not. It's a re-skinned turd that most of you would never own if you could buy it today.

 

Personally, I hope this year's VD update brings a much cooler version of the Roosevelt, probably with armor, just to piss you all off.
