2016 Valentine DLC Thread

Anyone whining they didn't get a chance at the Roosevelt or tommy gun is a turd. You didn't spend the money on GTAO until it's all polished and nice, us veterans dealt with launch week insanity, tons of bugs. And y'all want to hop in and act like your entitled to a vehicle and weapon that are limited edition, just like the Christmas stocking mask, it's a one time deal. I lost my tommy gun on the transfer from ps3, kept my Roosevelt. I'd love a chance to grab the tommy gun again but as for the Roosevelt it's a OG car and should stay that way. Valentines day should bring the tommy gun back and maybe a different vehicle.

Do you understand how easy it is to obtain a Roosevelt now? All you need us a modded account, a dupe glitch, or a race glitch to obtain and store it. It's not rare in the slightest. The Roosevelt will likely see a return this Valentines day, and as someone who has owned an original one since it's release, I really couldn't care less. It doesn't matter if we paid for last gen and obtained it, everyone who waited for PC or next gen should have the opportunity to obtain this vehilce.

I would love to see the Roosevelt available again. I love the petty OG mentality of I have so you don't. R* isn't going to piss about trying to humour OG's but are going to play to all sides and all levels and profit when the OG's fall and the next entitled wannabee blaster tries to bury their brothers to have the nest big thing. Rosey will be back and everyone is entitled, even those with nothing, not even the future R* has sold them.

Bring back the DLC. I am an "OG" day 1 PS3 player, probably played more than 90% of the people on here I'd guess...

 

I had several unpleasant seizures in February 2014 in which I was hospitalized for nearly 2 months, causing me to miss the DLC. I would love a chance to get that DLC and I think everyone else who missed it for whatever reason should get another shot too.

 

I have every special shirt and special hat that can be obtained legitimately except the Valentine's stuff. I would never try to stop other people from getting these items though. It's just petty and selfish. Take for example raffle shirts - I've said from the beginning they should be given to all stream viewers through a special one time code or similar means. I'm fully in favor of hard to get items that people need to earn like the elite challenge shirts, but emphasis is on hard to get and not impossible to get.

Normally I'm a real friendly guy, but I love people who glitch/dupe/etc Roosevelts. It's actually funny seeing people who consider themselves elitists because they have a Roosevelt get all uppity and the like.

My duped Roosevelt is mothballed.

 

Thinking of selling it, really a 4-wheeled borefest, it looks awesome, and doesn't drive bad, but the novelty wears off rather quickly.

Rockstar recently added tunables for the Valentine's DLC sometime last year, and this was after that whole thing with the DLC and the interaction menu. So it's likely we'll see it re-released next month.

 

Edit: If R* do decide give you guys that don't own a Roosevelt the chance to buy it, good on you. I own one and hate the hipster mentality most Roosevelt owners have. Everyone should get to have one.

I never got a chance. When I found out how much it cost I gave up hope. At the time, I didn't know any ways to earn money quickly. Sure there was mission, but missions are boring and annoying to me when playing with people I don't know or trust. I was only level 15.

I'd like a chance at the Sweeper but we never got any info on if it was a one time event and if not, why it was skipped on 2015.

 

However, something to keep in mind is that old gen is now obsolete gen. Rockstar has abandoned it from the development standpoint. If you are still playing on old gen, you will not get any more updates. Do not use the VD clothes, Roosevelt or Sweeper as some kind of coping mechanism. You would just be setting yourself for disappointment in case new gen gets a Valentine's DLC just like it happened with Independence Day.

Well Independence Day has been an every year thing since it's release, old and current gen. Though honestly even though I was there during old gen and got the everything and transfered over with it, it should make a round again. I'd like to see people enjoy it again. Being limited to one time, and on last gen at that is kind of bullsh*t to those who waited for the definitive version of GTA:O.

Rockstar will bring the Roosevelt back, and I'll skip buying it a second time just like I did the first time. It's a sh*t car that people only have because it's "rare". Make it available permanently and half of you would sell it the next day. I'm not sure where the elitist mindset comes from, Rockstar had issues with the content and skipped a year of it. With last gen no longer holding the game back, you'll surely see the V-Day stuff again.

 

I've got all the V-day stuff, and haven't touched it once. If I could sell one of you hard up folks the "rare" suits and Tommy Gun I would...

They didn't have to confirm it since it was pretty obvious their were bugs with the masks that broke the interaction menu and drastically affected frame rates (might be incorrect on that last one) also they stated after Christmas 2014 they were not going to release any content until heists were released.

3. It would be simple for last gen to get the dlc since all they have to do is switch it on just like Christmas and Independence day last year.

It would of been nice if R* will not do like the sort of ''scary'' stuff. Like this year's Festive Surprise 2015 for example. The masks definetly looked to scary imo. It could of been like a Halloween DLC.
