I haven't been outside the US in my life. That's going to change in January when I'll be going on a trip up to Canada with my mom's friend. I know it isn't much but to me it'll be crazy leaving my nation for the first time. I'm also hoping to go to Europe later next year, if everything lines up.

No, I have never left the U.S at all, yet. I plan to settle down some where in Canada, maybe Calgary or Toronto.. after that, I may visit the U.K or Italy.

i live in toronto and it sucks here. the city is boring, the people are boring, and the place is infamous for a certain crack-smoking mayor

Love your country bros. Despite numerous warnings from my Serbian girlfriend that I would be beaten to death in her home country, I've never received anything less than hospitality and curiosity.

Appreciated!

About your girlfriend - how long has she lived in Serbia, if she lived there at all? Most of the time I've heard this was usually from someone who knows jack sh*t about our country.

My girlfriend was born in Sarajevo and lived there for the first 4-5 years of her life. The war started so she and her mother escaped to a refugee settlement on the Hungarian border before the city was besieged. She lived there until the war passed and she went to live in Bijeljina, in the Republika Srpska part of BiH before going to live and study in Belgrade for seven years. She is ethnic Serb, speaks Serbian (although with a slight BiH accent) and holds dual citizenship between BiH and Serbia. She tells people she is Serbian and from Belgrade because that is where she feels she spent the most memorable and important years of her life and because she is an ethnic Serb.

I hope that answers your question.

EDIT: I should also add that she is used to people from Serbia and Republika Srpska being very anti-American and anti-NATO, so that is why she was worried for me.

I have driven through Canada before..does that count? I live in Michigan and needed to get to the state of New York. I didn't feel like driving south and going through the top of Ohio and Pennsylvania. So I drove from the thumb of Michigan through a small stretch of Canada and into New York. So much easier! I literally used Canada to fulfill my selfish American traveler needs. I'm sorry, Canada.

Did you pay highway tolls? If the answer is yes, then I bet you are doing Canada a favor.

Everyone knows Tasmania is Australia's equivalent to Alderney. It's technically there, but best to forget it. :p

As for me no. Kind of depressing actually. My younger cousin just got married in Hawaii over the weekend and now they're over in LA, Las Vegas etc. So jealous lol. One day I'll let another country accept my cool and loving nature.

Yes, I have. I was originally born in the country of Belarus, but my parents, grandparents, and I moved to the U.S. when I was just a year old. I've been back to my home country, however, a total of three times after moving to the U.S. I would love one day, hopefully, to plan a trip of Europe and visit the many countries that have been my dream to one day see. Italy, Germany, England, France, and a few others.

I haven't been outside my country in a while, but when I was a kid, we did go on vacation abroad every now and then. I live in Finland so I've been to the capitals of Sweden and Estonia numerous times(also been to the city of Pärnu in Estonia twice). Other than that I've visited Paris of France, Saint Petersburg of Russia, The island of Crete of Greece, Barcelona of Spain and Hurghada of Egypt. That should be all unless I'm forgetting something.

From the UK.

I'm currently in Australia now, been here for 8 months on a working visa, trying to stay another year.

Aside from that I've been to Turkey twice, a day trip to Kos, Netherlands (Well, just Amsterdam) and Sicily.

Not too many yet, but I'm 19 so I've got a good start, gonna keep at it, working visas to do in New Zealand and Canada next.

Go to the US when you are +21. The US is such a beautiful country. The best thing you can do is do a round trip around many parts and drive just drive and explore little town that are incredible.

If i ever go back i want to do a:

Texas - New Mexico - Arizona - Nevada and finally California.
