If you think of mods, PC. But PS2 version was better made and kinda had more things to give to the player, the PC version turned out to be very limited and glitchy and some features were removed as well. I cannot say a lot, because I never played and had the PS2 version of the game.

I recommend you to watch part 2 of Vadim M's video about PC vs PS2!

PC. Mods, better graphics. (Not that I care about how graphics look in a 2004 game, by the way.)

PS2, Smooth and better graphics, but from the other side İ think (and many others think) PC version is better.

PC version is fully customizable and we can bring PS2 graphics to PC and fix the vanilla bugs with modifications.

IMO

I have much experience with the PC version, and at high resolutions the game's age really starts to show.

I'm about 20% through the PS2 version, and I am enjoying it immensely. SA's graphics just seem to look better at a lower resolution and on its native console.

Just the reason why I like PS2/3. Don't forget Mobile, too. It's quite difficult to get used to as well. All I play is PS2/3 and iOS.

I prefer PC version, mostly because of better controls and mod support.

PC version. Mouse and keyboard for one are far superior to nooby "auto-aim". By mods you can not only enhance the game itself with countless good (and some awful) mods, but also improve its framerate, resolution and whatnot. Plus, after consoles die, PC will still rule the world!

I have read about PS2 version got some neat original graphics and probably other effects that I can't recall which got poorly ported over to PC, but thankfully, there are mods to restore the original stuff as intended for PS2.

So, other than the above, PC rules!

Mods turn the game into an evergreen masterpiece correcting so many annoying flaws that its impossible to stop playing it.

I have both versions, and I'm gonna say that the PS2 is better. I don't think it's just nostalgia, but also due to the fact that the PS2 version has extra cool things like the orange sky atmosphere before it gets dark. The game feels more original to me. The PC version is still good, and it's nice to add mods like SAMP, which is really fun, or fix things that got removed.

PC. I can take out what I don't like and add what I want. Plus, there's no SAMP on PS2.

I suggest getting back to the Topic.

What are the Differences between the PS2 Game and that of the UNMODDED PC game.

Mods (Modification) of the game can have an infinite number of changes.

Mods are an aberration of the game. And Do Not need other than a mention in comparison of the Differences or preferential in playing the PS2 and PC game.

A discussion of the various modifications, and effects on game play do not belong in this topic.

Well, no, the question was: Which is better?

Mods is a perfectly acceptable answer...

OKAY. Which is Better, the PS2 or the PC game, Not which mod is better. .

If you want to discuss Mods then take it to the Modding forums.

I prefer the PC Version. Having Mouse and Keyboard based inputs wins for me. :)

PS2 has the best experience. PC would've been if it wasn't such a lazy port.

I also gotta say that while I like to go through all the trouble of setting up the ability to drive with the trigger buttons from a 360/PS3 controller — I still tend to play the game more with a mouse and keyboard.

If we're talking about the Vanilla game, PC Version all the way.

PS2 has awful weather effects, so bad they really affect the games graphics, that blue and orange sky on PS2 makes me wanna puke.

Also free aim on PS2 is crap, auto aim isn't that good either.

PC version also has a huge modding community so lol.

I would go with the PC version, especially because of mods.

Even without mods, I would still choose PC version over PS2.

I have never played the PS2 version, but from what I've seen in videos and on pictures, its color scheme and lighting makes the game feel much more alive than the PC version. Of course, graphically and performance-wise, the PC version is superior.
I modded my GTA San Andreas, trying to mix all the positive aspects of both versions. A proper 16:9 aspect ratio, pretty stable 60 FPS, the PS2-like color scheme, bluriness and glossy cars, ... All in one game. I love it. http://imgur.com/a/nq4so

Comparing the two in their respective launch periods... PS2 all the way, since the subsequent ports fubared the graphical effects, and just the graphics in general with objects look wrong or being removed entirely.

Now? PC thanks to the mods that restore the PS2 graphical effects alongside some of the mods to bring some of the mobile port stuff in it like the characters with actual fingers and the much required HD HUD.

More features on PC, but PS2 has better (more realistic) details.

I like both versions.

"On PS2 there are more waypoints for peds"

Waypoint? What does it mean? Does it mean that if a ped meets an obstacle, they have an easier time navigating around it on PS2?
