Cosmic Gypsy
To be honest i thought Gran Turismo's been underwhelming since the PS2 days. The first one on PS3 was straight up bad. HaRdSTyLe_83, K1FFLOM and Masny
TheOneLibertonian
Hopefully it's a spin off game like a Prologue for GT7. It does not look like direct competition to FM6, but as a standalone game it will be great. Still enjoying the heck of FM6, but GT Sport seems to focus more on it's Motorsport roots. Especially with the partnership with the FIA. We might get different classes of Motor racing in GT Sport. Hopefully. And please no more standard cars. I'd rather have 500 Premiums than, 400 Premiums, and 800 Standards. That would ruin the quality of the game for me. Other than that, there isn't that much information, so I'd like to have a clean state of mind before buying it next year. Oh well, with FM6 being so enjoyable, and NFS coming out soon. This gen seems to be amazing for racing games IMO.

This sounds sh*te. I couldn't agree more. The funny part is Forza pumps out a game every year and they look and play fantastic every year. Polyphony Digital will take there good old time. Wouldn't want to rush them or anything. I bet Forza pumps out their next game before Grand Turismo is even close to finalizing. Riqitch8
So, GT Sport has been delayed until 2017 in order to gain "more time to perfect it." http://www.polygon.com/2016/8/30/12709676/gran-turismo-sport-release-date-delayed-2017 I don't know about anyone else, but it seems the devs at Polyphony Digital were feeling the pressure with Forza Horizon 3 being released and decided to delay GT Sport in order to jump the gun. Pedinhuh
Okay, time to update this thread as we have a release date that is quite near: October 18th of 2017 Here are some facts for those who still don't know what to expect about this game: -Offline gameplay will mostly consist of license tests, time trials and this new mode that is supposed to teach "racing etiquete" for new players, so yes, this is a game mostly centered around online gameplay, don't expect a deep and long career mode like we had in the past games!; -4k and 60 FPS will be available for PS4 Pro versions; -17 race tracks with 28 possible layouts, there should be more real life tracks than "fictional" tracks; -A total of about 160 cars at the release, there will be street legal cars, race car variants, Le Mans Prototypes, concepts cars and many Vision GT cars; -There will be damage for all vehicles, though there is no word on how much in-depth a car can get damaged, I honestly wouldn't be expecting much more than minor dents, this Gran Turismo and vehicular damage has never been the focus of this franchise(though it should, because damage is a part of racing as any other); -Damage physics is now present, which means cars will wobble and get throw around on crashes, finally. -Customization should be more in-depth than GT6, what I know so far is that we will have a livery editor and can add cosmetic upgrades, though there is not much word on this too. -Car sounds have been vastly improved, at least from the cars I saw in the gameplays; I'm not too much excited about this game right now, mainly because of the lack of a offline career mode, but oh well, I have to wait until I can pass better judgements. EDIT: there will be offline content, but it will not be as deep as the past games had, this game is focused on E-sports. Algonquin Assassin
That sucks that there's no single player career mode. The last GT that truly excited me was GT4. GT5 was a major disappointment and though GT6 was a bit better it still ever fully satisfied. It looks like another established franchise has succumb to the stranglehold of online multiplayer. Probably won't be a day one purchase like Forza 7. Will wait a bit after release I think. Mister Pink and Pedinhuh

That decision of them makes me believe that this game won't be a main title in the series, and it will be more like a spin-off. I know this list is incomplete but there are no Corollas, no Celicas, No Tureno, no Supra, no MR2 - hell, the only road car I think I see is the GT-86 (and the SF-R, I guess) and all the others are either concepts/mythical cars or race variants. This means that Toyota has really pulled their road cars out of all racing games this year, because Forza, Project Cars and NFS (I think) suffer from the same issue. The Forza series does a far better job with balancing and variety. However the list so far looks underwhelming. Needs more classics.
Pedinhuh
Here is a new update, Kaz says the game will be 15% online experience and the rest is offline: https://www.gtplanet.net/gt-sport-online-experience-around-15-total-game/ And while this seems contrary to what I have posted before, that offline won't have a career mode, I want you to read this whole article before and pay attention to this part: "Furthermore, the series creator goes one further and suggests the remaining 85% of GT Sports content focuses on offline experiences. Of that remaining percentage is the single player campaign consisting of four key areas: Driving School; Mission Challenge; Circuit Experience; and Racing Etiquette." From this, we can confirm that the License Tests and Driving Missions from GT4 are returning under different names. But only 15% of the game will be online? A game that will constantly hold FIA online championships and all the other bliss everyone talked about? That number must be incorrect. We need to remember that Kaz, while being the main brain behind the Gran Turismo series, is not reputable source of information, this guy said GT4 would have good engine sounds, that GT5 would have realistic damage, that GT6 would be the best game in the series(though that is subjective, a lot of people were disappointed with that game), all talk to elevate the games to a higher standard than they truly are. The folks from GTPlanet also thinks the same. Oh yeah, he also said the game won't have microtransactions. It would be a bliss if the game won't have it, but again, this is Kaz we are talking about, the guy lies all the time to hype the game. Take all of this with a grain of salt. DEALUX
Still doesn't sound like a proper career mode to me. To be fair, the driving school stuff is kinda stupid. I played GT3 yesterday and the conditions to pass are kind of unforgiving. Either make that sh*t easier to complete or remove it altogether. I probably won't get around to purchasing a PS4 Pro until next year or early 2019 but I think I'll eventually play this.
