OK what has "The Lowriders Update" changed?

Got kicked out of the first mission because of too many players in the session. (???)

 

It unlocked the garage anyways though without doing it.

What so do you have to do the first of the new missions to be able to access Benny's?

Yep. You get a call or text (can't recall which, I was not really paying attention) from Lamar and a blip will pop up at Benny's and you go to it, and after a long cut scene it throws you into a random lobby with three other players and you sit through another cut scene and then the mission, followed by two more cut scenes. Everything as far as mods and upgrades go seem to be all unlocked right away. You just have to do the mission first to unlock Benny's.

 

 

It took 4 tries for the people the game put me with to not mess up somehow (dying three times, and managing to blow up the lowrider we were less than a foot from) and failing the mission as a result before actually completing it.

 

As far as what the update changed - crouching behind stuff is completely broken. When doing the mission I kept crouching down behind the car and every 3 seconds without me doing anything the game kept making my character stand up. I have not played long enough yet to see what else got changed.

You get a call from Lamar, go down to the chop-shop and watch a cut-scene and it then puts you in a lobby with other players waiting for 4 to join then start the mission 'Community Outreach'. Once you have passed/failed it, you can go back to the shop and drive in if you have one of the 6 vehicles he mods there.

 

The mods are expensive, you need to pay $318,250 for the car to be customised (rebuilt) before you can mod it.

 

Hydraulics cost between $118,750 to $237,500 (3 types)

Engine covers from $42,864 to $50,901 (4 types)

 

 

Thank you my man, that's a pain as I was hoping the shop would be open without having to dive straight into the missions but there we go, guess I'll have to get that done

I'm sure this has been posted, but looks like they nerfed the AP Pistol now.

 

 

Further weapon rebalancing tweaks have been made based on community feedback. The damage and accuracy of the AP Pistol have been slightly reduced to bring it in line with similar automatic weapons.

dont need to do the mission, just back out after you get to mission lobby and Bennys will be open

I just grabbed a yellow gang tornado from the same spot as usual.

 

Funniest aspect of this update for me is that everyone is so busy with car shows in front of Benny's that I've had a number of freeroam events all to myself.

WTF is that sh*t?! R* is trolling hard! As if being last isn't punishment enough. I'm so glad I'm still on last-gen

 

AKA... Rage quit races... As if people will stick around after blowing up.

In my experience people already leave the race when they crash once, while in last and now they get blown up.

Sorry, I don't know who's coming up with these ideas, but it just sounds so stupid!

That's a halloween action.

Once they enable the halloween DLC then you can use it.

You can get car mod unlocks by ranking up now which is funny to me because I only joined this forum at first to try and find someone to trade races with.

 

This just gives me more of an incentive to rank up my second character now.

Warning to Hotknife owners, this Update has made it so it will say 'This Vehicle Cannot Be Modified' when you go to L.S.C. If it is one you had from before the Update!

 

Just as well I haven't bought this yet, I suspect this may be a temporary bug as I had this after the last update when it said my BF Bifta couldn't be modified but then let it go into LSC a few hours

later. I'd report it to Rockstar asap so they can hotfix it.

 

Anyone else know of any of other cars affected?
