OK what has "The Lowriders Update" changed?

Well, per the title of this thread: "What has the Lowriders Update changed". I'd like share a bit of info if it hasnt already for those of you that have an industrial truck fetish like me!

 

So far all the big trucks i've driven have been horribly slowed down! I mean to a crawl.

Even my fully modded Duneloader is just horribly slow.

 

The Barracks in Convoy set up is terrible.

The trash truck in Trash Truck set up is slow! I made it the last checkpoint with 34 seconds to spare when i usually make it with about 1 min 15 secs to spare.

 

The mid size dump truck similar to the recycle truck has been slowed down as well.

 

I've yet to try the Phantom or the cement mixer. And the city buses seemed to have been slowed down a barely noticeable bit. I can tell cause i'm the lone lunatic that prefers all these vehicles over all the other super sports crap lol!

 

The Pegasus Dump Truck (the 1 mil one and yes i have one lol) seems to be untouched. Well that one couldnt get any slower.

 

Oh! I wonder if the tank got nerfed too!?

Anyways, that's my report.

Damn man, you are my hero! I can't stand driving those things, but great that someone does! I noticed something different, but i thought it's just me driving them so little, or the broken R2 on my controller. Handling felt somehow different, kind of "lighter" not in the sence of actual weight.

I was on for 2 hours Friday evening... and just logged on today, Saturday....

 

I've not received any of them yet. They're not showing in my wardrobe when I go to my closet and look under Hats, and they're not showing under Accessories either...

 

Is there a trick to claiming them?

Only works for current systems

I consider my system fairly current; its got a Devil's Canyon CPU, and still a fairly recent generation GPU and Windows 7 is still a viable operating system, in fact its the only OS that my company currently sells causes its the only one our customers want! For that matter how would Rockstar even know whether my PC was "current enough" or not?

Are you sure you checked under "Special Hats"? Have you tried to wear them through the interaction menu -> inventory -> accessories -> hats?

But yeah, sometimes these things are buggy and they don't work. If you really want them you can try to open a ticket at R* support monday asking for the missing hats.

These hats aren't available on the ps3 or the xbox360. They are on the pc (you and your graphics card), ps4 and xb1.

I still did not understand what you were referring too.

 

My PC is however, considered "current"; and I would not "brag" about my Video Card unless it was a more recent generation like a GTX 980; or an R9 Fury... Its not..

 

Lastly, there is nothing in the description of the Hats that says they're ONLY available on specifically dated systems or consoles; hence arguably they should be available to EVERYONE, regardless.

Oh yes, i just remembered. Whilst doing the Steal Meth set up, i did notice that the Phantom Semi's speed remained the same when hooking up to the tanker.

 

i think im gonna do an actual speed test on all the industrial trucks.

 

another thing i noticed was that my custom license plates were missing from the LS custom shop. So i re ordered one plate and they re appeared in the shop without cost.

Anyone notice that bikes don't lose speed when carrying 2 players anymore? Me and a friend were riding my Akuma to Lester's warehouse in Crime Scenester, and the Akuma still hit it's normal top speed, despite the extra weight.

Not sure if this was intentional, or just a freak bug. Was doing LS Connection solo. Not only was there no enemy Buzzard that spawned, but there were no Buzzards period. The 2 that are normally parked in front of the hanger were gone too. After clearing everyone out, I had to call in my Hydra to mop up the rest, and blow up the plane.

I had not noticed! I sure hope this is true in spite of realism. I've been heavily relying on bikes to get me around. I suck at cars so most of the time it's bike or insurgent.

oh that's interesting. I know that since the Freemode Event Update, KERS no longer works for me on the Lectro in the PS Finale. Dont know about freemode since i dont own one.

It must be some sort of glitch. Yeah, one run through there hadn't been any buzzards but most of the time I only see one buzzard now at the hangar (and no Merryweather buzzard). Additionally added explosive elements are missing, the large green tank in corner of the hangar, the small red gas can at the end of the building on the second stop I use to take out the guy there as well as other elements from other missions.

Ok, so the Hats are available in the clothing stores!

 

Look for the hats section in the Store, and then select "Special Hats" and they're listed there for Free!

 

So I got the first two now!

There's always been certain cars where your hat stays on. Banshee, tornado and coquette off the top of my head (boom boom).

I noticed that the heavy sniper bullet doesn't kill people anymore, it takes 2 or 3 shots to the chest.

I'm pretty sure it was one shot a few weeks ago, they seem to change it a lot.

 

Also my sticky bombs don't work against people on foot anymore but i'm not sure if that's because i suck or if their area of effect is smaller.
