Hey I have my new GTX 970 but experiencing memory leak problem for about 2 months maybe, I already tried anything, creating virtual memories. It looks like it doesnt matter how much memory I have, always everything gets polluted in the end. Please help me someone, I dont know what to do anymore.

OMG this forum is useless... its the second time I posted here some trouble and everyone just ignores...

Ignores or don't know how to help you.....

You provide next to no info on your setup (specifically how much RAM you have)-- all you provided was your GPU model and a very undetailed description of your problem--

What specifically is the problem you are experiencing???

Describe your system setup also-- do you have multiple hard drives?? A SSD??

Did you read the buglist with solutions thread located HERE

Problem #4 (solution #4)-- gives a pretty detailed post (click the spoiler button) on how to make adjustments to your virtual memory (paging file(s)) that may improve your system performance...

Specifically-- utilizing a paging file on a hard drive not being used by the game-- and/or adjusting the paging file size to "force" the game to use more of you physical RAM and less of your virtual RAM. If you have enough physical RAM (16GB+) it is possible to run without virtual RAM and this can improve your system performance however it can make your system more unstable (prone to crashes if the memory requirements reach a bottle neck...

No member here has an obligation to help you- We are not Rockstar Support-- everyone that comes here including the forum staff are volunteers-- we do not get paid in any way shape or form. Please take this into account before ranting about how "useless" this forum is.

Chill I was just concerned. I have 8 GB RAM. I have created virtual memory on SSD 2 GB... and on the other HDD of how much system needs, so no specific number. I also have no crashes because I disabled that thing. More time I play more memory is used. RAM is always full after a while, then system takes GBs one by one slowly from HDD. When it takes usually more than 10 GB I have very small lags (with that new graphic card I have great performance high FPS), as it takes more lags are getting bigger and it aint good at all even though my game wont crash.

Unfortunately I don't think if there is any "fix" to the memory leak issue-- only work arounds to mitigate issues resulting from it.

Assuming the game running off the SSD and is this is your boot (main drive)--

--adjust your paging file on this drive so it is small-- this is only so it can store crash data if you get a BSOD-- set it to no more then 500 mb (set initial and maximum sizes to the same size).

On the 2nd HDD-- what I would do... create a small partition on that drive-- don't use this for anything else other than your paging file-- set a your paging file to a a fixed size-- the size you use is up to you however you may want to experiment with using different size paging files-- if you read the post by Yoel -- he set it to a small size in order to force the game to use more physical RAM like I described above.

The only other things to do are to free up more system resources by disabling them from running in the background-- there are many youtube videoes on doing this so I won't go into this https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=tweaking+gaming+PC

These suggestions are by no means a fix-- just suggestions to try and at least go longer before the RAM bottlenecks and starts causing your lag.

There may be other suggestions offered in the PC section if you haven't checked out that section yet... http://gtaforums.com/forum/304-pc/

I did what you recommended about page files, I put 500 MB on SSD and 1000 on HDD... game went quite well and RAM usage was about 5,4 GB and didnt go higher, but what was weird: in confirmed usage memory together 8 GB with 1,5 GB of pagefiles was used about 9.2 GB which I didnt get... after I wanted to get back to the game it didnt turn on again and crashed, however any error message didnt show. I dont know... yesterday I created a ticket for rockstar support but today I cannot get to my account to check it, there is some kind of problem.

I also tried to turn off both pagefiles, I played for like 3 minutes and game suddenly frozen, I wanted to minimalize and black screen appeared. There was nothing I could do I had to restart system.

Did you restart the PC after adjusting the paging file-- changes will not go into effect until you restart-- then the next day (assuming you shut down the PC between then and the next time you played)-- the changes went into affect and then the game would not start... just guessing at this point.

I would NOT do this with 8 GB with RAM-- that would be something I would only do with at least try with at least 12 but preferably 16 GBs of RAM.

Yes I restarted the PC, always when I got the message. About turn on the game, this was today. I meant turn back on when it was minimalized. So that is something else. Now I played it for like half an hour. I had those 500 MB on SSD and what system needs on HDD. After this time game lags/stutters were getting bigger and bigger, in the end game was almost unplayable, very annoying lags. Just for record I have installed several mods, VisualV graphic mod and quite a lot of real cars and other vehicles.

another issue is that rockstar support its weird because when I press sign in button it just loads and nothing happens, everything is inoperable

Update: Rockstar support recommended for a start to install drivers that are specialised for GTA V, after that game runs better. Unfortunately there is still the main problem of memory leak. Looks like Im gonna have to rely on them, I dont know what else left.

Try what s/he said. OR maybe you have a faulty SSD/HDD. How many years you been using 'em? Can your CPU handle the GPU?

EDIT: posted in wrong topic sorry so had to cut It out

I already tried anything, creating virtual memories.

There's your issue, rather than increasing your virtual RAM, you should minimize it.

GTA V just doesn't like virtual memory.
