Pursuit camera view

I just found this nifty little feature (I think it was deliberate, not a glitch). Again, I couldn't find this already posted anywhere on here. So here goes:

The easiest way to get this to work is if you're in a tank, being chased by other tanks. When you switch to cinematic camera, instead of what you usually get, you'll get the viewpoint of one of your pursuers. You can see your tank up ahead of the chase. It looks really weird.

The trick also works when youre in any vehicle, being chased by the cops, but it's a little harder to pull off. They have to be close enough behind you for it to work. Also if it's just the cops, when you first switch to cinematic view, you'll see the "fender view" that you usually see in cinematic cam at first, but when the camera changes to what should be the second view, you'll get the cop's viewpoint instead.

For a real challenge, try this trick while youre on a bike and try to control yourself from the cop's view. It's fun.

If at any point your vehicle goes completely off-screen, the view will snap back to the normal cinematic camera. If you leave it in this view and get a pursuer again, eventually it will switch back to the pursuit view after the next "fender cam".

while we're on the topic, another odd thing with the veiw is when ur heading toward a car from the front, and as u enter it stays in a frontal veiw, then hold in r2 and l2 b4 it goes to your normal veiw on its own, and it will quickly go to the behind view, but heres whats different, the turning is totally messed up, its hard to explain you'll have to try it for yourselfs. if my post was to confusing just tell me and ill make a second attempt to explain :rampage:

If you look behind while in one of the dinghy boats you can see inside Tommys head.

I missed the classic over head view too. That camera angle came in real handy in gta3 and would have been great for vice especialy if you think about the hellicopters.....Someone needs to make sure that camera angle is in gta4...

Ah guess I just never tried cinematic while being chased before. Oh well/ Hopefully more people know about it now.

I, too, miss over overhead view. I seriously douby there was any technical difficulty R* had that kept it out of the game. I think they just figured no one used it in GTA3. Hopefully, it will return.

Do you guys realize how hard it would be to do stadium races or fly a helicopter with overhead view. I mean, sure you could have it as an option but come on, every 5 minutes you'd have to flip through them so you can go into a building or what not.
