GTA Online Quick Questions

How the hell do you get into the jet fighters in the mission where you have to fly into the airbase and destroy them? On the hard setting there's three jets, and dozens of security guards when you approach them, but I can't get in them and end up getting shot to pieces.

 

I know you CAN get in them, because I was doing it earlier with a guy and the next thing I know he's jacked one and is flying around trying to missile the other two. Doesn't matter what I do, though, I just can't get in them. I've tried climbing on top and shooting the plexiglass hatch, but nothing lets me in.

Just press triangle.

The jets that are specific targets in the mission Base Invaders are probably unavailable to get into. The point of the mission is to destroy them, so they don't chase you when you steal the CargoBob.

 

I've stolen a jet from Fort Zancudo hundreds of times. Just stand next to it and press triangle. Your character will climb up on, pop the cockpit open, and then jump right in.

 

If you aren't able to replicate this with the specific jets during that mission, it's probably because those vehicles are disabled for the mission.

Well it must be that only one of the jets are available to fly then and I keep picking the wrong ones, because as I said the guy I was doing it with took off in one and tried to missile the others.

Played that mission with a mate and he got in one of the jets and used it like a tank to kill everything that moved, so it's definitely possible

I joined too late for the Stimulus pack and I've only managed to earn a grand total of $16,000. I can't buy a car (I shad to sell the free one), I can't buy a garage or a safehouse, I can't access any decent weapons or armour and spend most my time trying to avoid higher ranked players who have nothing better to do than try and kill you. The game is pretty much f**ked now for me and is not enjoyable anymore.

 

Any help would be very much appreciated but I am not far off deleting the game and throwing the disks in the bin.

Join races. There is good money in races, even if you don't win.

Any general thing that gets you money in free roam- level up and do a few missions from people to unlock these in free roam, like car exports, crate drops, armoured cars, gang attacks etc. all get you a fair bit of money if you do them right (sell a good car, keep the high-priority export in top condition, get all the crates in a gang attack etc.). Robbing stores also gives you ~$2k for each one.

 

Races are the best option if you can not be sh*t at them; coming in the top three will get you over $5k, second place is usually ~$7.5k and first $13.6k - so if you can regularly get in the top three, you'll soon be rolling in money. There are many tips for races, but remember to not crash, know the best car, slow down at corners, draft people, and also custom cars don't seem to do anything.

That's the sheriff's SUV that allows players to hang on the side. Get 4 stars and jack one for yourself.

 

Upgrading your engine will still effect the car's stats. You can see the real stats in the race menus.

How can I sell a premium car to LSC? I bought a Rapid GT & it has not met my expectation. I’ve only won a hand full of races with it so it’s got to go (spins out way to much). LSC message says I can only sell cars worth 50K. I'm level 74 if that matters.

You can't sell cars to LSC that you purchased off the web for over $50,000. Sorry. Your only option is to replace it in your garage with another vehicle.

actually its very simple.. cars bought worth over 50k cant be sold..

trading aka duplicating... still not working for high end vehicles (super cars)

you will need to replace it with another car without looking back

You can't sell cars to LSC that you purchased off the web for over $50,000. Sorry. Your only option is to replace it in your garage with another vehicle.

It doesn't necessarily have to be the sheriff version of the Granger. Any of them will do. To hang onto the side, someone just has to go to a side where someone is already sitting and pretty Y (or Triangle) to get on.

Also any way to get Titan's back door open without blowing up the whole thing?

Titan rear door. Just punch it once or twice until you see it crack open. Then get in the plane and pull forward a little...the back door will drop right open. You can drive vehicles or walk inside.

It doesn't necessarily have to be the sheriff version of the Granger. Any of them will do. To hang onto the side, someone just has to go to a side where someone is already sitting and pretty Y (or Triangle) to get on.

from the moment you add a sidestep to the granger your able tot hang on the side and it doesnt need 3 passengers before you can hook up. just stand next to engine when pressing triangle

Iv'e watched a few utube videos where people commit suicide with a pistol but my bloke always kills himself with the poisoned pill.

Arm yourself with the regular pistol without the suppressor attached. Try that. Oh. And make sure you have ammo obviously.

 

This works. I just did it 3 times in a row using this method.

I've noticed sometimes when in lobbies waiting for a mission / race to start, that some players come up with a 'busy' status. Does this mean they're in mission / races already or is it something the player can set?

You can't. You have to find another on the streets to use.

You can't. It's not even possible to take a tracker off a personal vehicle (without glitching). However, if you drive around in it, it's more likely that other random cars of that model will spawn around the city.
