limbfilter
just wondered have you tryed changing over a .dff and .txd of one car from VC(PS2) and adding it over the top of a car in GTA3(ps2) just a thought. Yep...Tried that. The vice dff structure is a little different and therefore won't read... nice job on what u've found out so far and gool luck with it. Thanks! I do have it on good autority that this new dff is going down real soon. Steve and the guy who cracked the gta3 dff files in the 1st place are both working on it....so vice to gta3 then maybe.... limbfilter
Good news. I will now be able to test if old cars (gta3) will be compatable with vice city. I can now fit it on a cd thus making testing fairly cheap and easy. I still need someone who can open up zmodeler and import a dff file and use a provided texture to skin it and then export it. I'm too stupid to do it but it should be real easy and only take a few min. of someone's time...
Viperman
i would do it if i get a chance let me recap- the cop car from GTA3 PC worked when you put it into vice ps2 but a costom car "without a txd thing" didnt work. So you rekon that if you got the coustom car with a good texture and txd file sent to you and a good model (same car tex and model of course) you should be able to add a coustom car the vice city PC thats what you are trying to do??? - [- No Fear. No Limits. No Equal. -] - - [- Ride For Life -] - Digging deep. It's not just an expression that's thrown around the locker room at halftime. It's a way of life. A daily code that drives a champions existence. It's not always glamorous. It's not always blue skies and sunny days, and its certainly not always welcome. But love it or hate it, to become a true champion take pure, unrestricted commitment.

Get the 3d wheels mod here and then use zmod to texture all the wheels with wheel_classic64 from the pc game. Then I will take the newly created dff and replace it in the ps2 version. So basicly adding custom models into the ps2 version of gta3 and vice city but only skinned with the textures that are found in the game. ^^^^^
