People wanted the Hydra for so damn long and its actually objectively one of the best aircraft in the game

and it gets voted out third

no nostalgia could save this San Andreas favorite

 

Some people wanted the Dodo for so damn long (though much less popularity compared to the Hydra) and for what it does, it does it pretty shotty since it won't last long if you land it in water. Its also exclusive which means its much less popular because a massive amount of players on Last Gen can't even use it.

and it just may win

nostalgia is probably the main driving factor behind this plane

 

Was it cuz it was in Vice City too?

I mean landing it water hardly means sh*t on a massive island with nothing but ocean around

 

I get it in Vice City and San Andreas, you had multiple islands but GTA V San Andreas?

I guess you either enjoy the fact you can land it in water or you don't, personally I love it. It's also good fun having people hanging off the sides and it opens up a little more creativity in how you approach missions with water in, which is a lot of them.

 

It doesn't like big waves particularly but it is still a plane, it's not a boat so what do you expect. I've often left it in water for ten minutes or longer and it's not been damaged at all.

It's funny how your attitude changes when it's down to the last two if there's one you like more than the other, I own a Besra and really like it but I couldn't help but find myself thinking along the lines of "**** you Besra" towards the end there.

I stand corrected, got ninja-ed.

Although I loved the Dodo being added as a novelty from past GTA games, I lost my love to it trying it out in some missions.

The amount of times I've lost the propeller after a smooth landing in the water is unbearable, I was so disappointed.

Exactly, its still a plane, in a plane elimination game where people would likely vote on a plane based on its merits as a plane not on how crappy is serves as a plane/boat hybrid, how one of the least agile aircraft won I don't know... also the using a Dodo for missions would only be for fun correct? I mean you can just as easily call a cargobob or any other chopper and shoot out of the doors from those without worry of players falling off and heck even the cargobob servers as a superior boat than the Dodo... but then again the Cargobob won't stay afloat without the pilot where as the Dodo will float away into the sunset without its pilot.. Heck considering that most missions got npcs armed with homing missiles I don't see how any of that would even be viable.

Agreed, I am happy that Besra made it into the final since it's my favorite plane.

Just for it making it into the final just proves how good people think it is over all other planes that didn't make it into the final.

Agreed. Only thing I was surprised about was the Hydra ranking so low, but the Dodo, Vestra and Besra are very close to my heart as well, so 3/4 ain't bad.

If you ever followed an elimination game before most people here hate anything they ever got killed with.

Also to be fair most people in jets fly either the hydra and jet to boost their useless kd ratio and enjoy the killing spree.

Oops, you're right! I never noticed! I'm going to go back and check how long this has been going on. If it's not much trouble I'll see about removing his votes from the final scores

 

Edit: TheManta voted twice as far as I can tell.

 

First was Dodo +1 and Mallard -2, then it was Besra +1 and Dodo -2. I think it's pointless to reinstate the Mallard but at least I can correct the last two. It averages out to Dodo +1 and Besra -1.

If you haven't noticed, unless your account is 2 weeks old, you can't vote. Its a strict rule to prevent cheaters to create multiple account to upvote/downvote a vehicle.
