I need your help!

 

I'm aware that engine sounds aren't correct for all vehicles, maybe you are knowledgeable which sounds should fit for converted vehicles to match with GTA IV.

I'm pretty sure the Uranus did NOT sound like a V8 in IV. Especially considering it's FWD and based on a Ford Sierra

Don't want to annoy, but since no one seemed to noticed I'll say it again

 

I'm the only one that thinks there's something wrong with the Fortune's proportions? the wheels seem to small, the hands won't match the handling. Maybe the car is too big?

Hands position in Fortune is already fixed, wheels are OK.

Yeah, no. Not a Sierra. Headlights and tailights does not a Sierra make.

I can't seem to find the Uranus in there. I try to use the 'find' feature in wordpad, nothing. And trying to read that formatting actually hurts my eyes.

maybe you searching in the wrong file

It's not in there.

And it's RWD in the pack.

Well it definitely has a lot of Sierra in it. Just look up one of those Cosworth Sierras, the spoiler is just like the one in Lozspeed Uranus. Plus, the headlights certainly look similar. Lozspeed's rally-like modifications refer to Sierra, too.

 

Can't unfortunately post a picture on iPad, but just look it up. Uranus screams Sierra, although it has plenty of Foxbody refernces, too.

I feel the rally mods and the lights are the only influences. The SVO Mustang in the pic has a fairly similar spoiler.

either way, I'm pretty sure the Uranus in IV was FWD and definitely did NOT have a V8 sound

IVPack part 6.1 released!


Changelog:


- All gauges are now visible in vehicles.
- Changed engine sounds for more than 50% of vehicles, thanks to CDemapp from GTAForums.
- All vehicles has fixed window tinting.
- Contender and Bobcat has all extras from IV, without collision errors.
- Dundreary Stretch was added.
- Declasse Sabre rusty was reconverted.

Declasse Sabre rusty was reconverted

 

Any advantages from that? Is it these below?

3ds max, OFIO script didn't keep axis information in models but in bones, so I had to manually place them each time. I used a base car from V for dummies, materials and collisions. Now they're originally from IV.

 

Are you going to redo all other models some time later as well?

No, older models are OK, all minor problrms were fixed with this update. Rusty Sabre is using IV liveries (have to be retextured, help!), and car ignite works like in IV beater cars.

Well, we are almost at the end of IVPack. Since you converted Perenial, you have only Marbelle, Beater Virgo, FXT, Comet, SDD, Regina, Police Cars, few Trucks and Boats (not counting Bikes for now).

 

Thus my question. After that, when all the vehicles are done, will you update some cars with extra tuning parts?

Nope, Perennial is a family, spacious car, so there is a lot of space in the interior.

Maybe I'll do a small improvements like mirrors with more polycount and few generic tuning parts. And - boats are suspended too, I did Blade and Tuga, but their center of mass is so low, anyone have experience with boats converts?

Which engine sound should I use for Perennial? Contender Ulility Truck sounds good for me.

Don't forget about the stock stretch E, the stock schafter and the shamal (I don't actually know if that's actually still on the planning). And also when you've converted all the original IV cars, could you convert more vanilla mods from IV like you did with the cheetah and the phoenix?

Speaking of which, will you also add (in the future, of course) variants of already existing cars (i.e. Mob Oracle, Ingot VD90R, Yusuf's Swift etc.)?

Which engine sound should I use for Perennial?

Asterope engine sound, since it has more of a 4-cylinder engine sound (same as real life Odyssey, which Perennial influenced from).
