Part 3 is working fine with latest patch, I'll add already converted cars manually later today.

But it still works with old version of the game right?

You mean they upped the exterior model too?

Yes, they do it with every new car to smoothen edges now that modern hardware can handle it.

 

For example, the IV Tampa ported by CP, look at the rear wheel arch:

The car is around 30,000 polygons, and you can clearly see where "curved" edges are actually made up of flat lines.

 

Here's the V Tampa, updated by Rockstar. Same wheel arch:

The edges are still there but far smoother because there are simply more polygons in the curvature.

Official Tampa is now missing some tuning parts, like wheelie bar or huge-ass daytona-like spoiler. What about adding them to it some time later, CP?

AFAIK both were added by CP from other cars. They aren't listed in beta tuning parts...

Turns out, the wheelie bar model is present in the archives, but it's not mentioned in the config files, thus it's unavailable. Regarding Daytona spoiler, it really wasn't in the beta.

Well, I was wrong about wheelie bar, but who cares? It's ugly and serves no purpose :p

R* screwed the pooch with both the Cognoscenti and Cog55 - the radio displays are bugged in the interior view and they don't have any carcol lines, they only spawn in metallic black with maroon accented interiors. I say include the Cognoscenti - give it the basename "cogclassic" or something.

Also, the Carvariations thing is intentional. If the cars can never spawn in traffic by default (as they're Online only), then they don't need a selection of colours as they'll be either generated by Legendary Motorsport or customised by a player. The same thing happens with the Schafters in traffic.

 

Shouldn't be hard to add a few new colours to choose from in traffic.

Yep, but you can't patch them via dlc_patch folder in update.rpf, but in mpapartment\dlc.rpf.

Why not dlc_patch, why won't that work?

 

And does it matter that much if you can only do it in dlc.rpf?

That's more or less the reason I figured they didn't give them any carcols - they're online only and not meant to spawn in traffic.

It even doesn't have proper collision, anyway - it was never meant to be a working part.

Haven't played yet, but I noticed that gameconfig.xml file has two "<MaxExtraVehicleModelInfos value="300"/>" in a row. I don't think it may cause any issues, but I deleted the second one in my file.

EDIT. SNT is showing "Invalid Model" when I try to spawn any added vehicle by manually typing it's name. Original ones are spawning just fine. Found the issue. I messed up the hierarchy.

What you used for the APC cannon sound? Sounds muffled, dry (?) compared to the TBOGT one

 

(Also, I forgot how chain explosions crush GTA 5 framerate)

APC cannon is just a Valkyrie's nose turret.

Found a bug, I tried some APC shooting with x360 pad, then switched back to K/M. Then the cannon starts rotating on it's own, no matter where I aim it. Reloaded the save and the game crashed...

I didn't check APC'S turret on pad, I'll try to reproduce a bug tomorrow.

Don't bother it, it was because of vehicle god mode in SPN. But the crash after reload a save is definitely because of IV Pack, just tested it after removing your mod, and no more crashes.

The mod does have a few major issues, like the wrong type of suspension on APC, or messed up seats that come with Hakumai's roll cage, or half of Beater Sabre's body defined as extra, including wheels. I also still don't get why Esperanto is classified as Muscle. Can't provide screens right now, sorry.
