Dude, Age of Empires 2 is one of my favourite RTS games of all time.

 

Age of Empires 1 was good, but once AoE2 came along it perfected everything.

Stronghold was the better RTS 'at the time' to be honest. It was actually more realistic and had a way better feel to everything. Shamefully they never made a good and worthy sequel with more depth.

 

Also I've seen the Age of Empires online trailer... it looks dull.

and I would've been interested in AoE online if it wasn't for that cartoony look...almost like it is a cross between AoE & farmville D:

I have just had a frightening thought, with the announcement of "Flight" I can see MS trying to make it more noob friendly. Who wants to bet Flight will be Kinect compatible and you will control the plane by holding your arms out stretched and making an airplane noise whilst running around the room

 

Seriously at this point I think the only way MS can regain the trust of PC gamers is if they frog marched the entire Xbox division on to the stage, lined them up against the wall and shot them all saying "I bet this is a Kill streak PC gamers have been waiting to see".

 

Nothing from MS impressed me today, although I will admit the Xbox live thing intrigued me, it is going to be fun ......... watching it fail all over again on the PC.

If you can't be arsed to read, it basically says in tests experts with a joypad got their arses handed to them by noobs with a mouse. Thus any thought of crossplay was banished forever from Microsofts mind.

Play Shadowrun, Lost Planet Colonies, Universe at War or BlazBlue Calamity Trigger.

 

But I doubt somobody's still playing these titles.

 

Also I doubt that we'll be charged for playing MP again. Let's wait for more news.

All I want is to be able to do is crossplay GoW between consoles and PCs because I'm damned sure no one plays it on the PC anymore and in that same light I know a sh*tload of people with Xboxes that still play it.

 

Would actually validate a purchase of it.

The best part of this plan of theirs is that MS now considers their network to be so good it should be payed for and this is what they wanted from day one. Now they think people will pay as some games depend on it for multiplayer. I can't wait for the story to unravel, but it will probably end in a cowardly fashion once MS will have to pull back while saying "naaaah, we were only kidding, we would never make people pay for sch a great service as gfwl". I too would like this be the fall of GFWL, but MS is too spineless to admit defeat, they'll just keep lieing through their f*cking teeth.

Fable 3 will be cross-platform and that isn't really a game where mouse and keyboard completely thrashes controllers.
