Out of the HD4890 and the 275, definitely go for the 275.

GTX 275 is faster, however (for me at least) nVidia has driver issues with Vista.

Especially once you get used to cranking those setting to high and above. Then when a game comes along that makes you lower everything a bit, you pull one long ass silly face while squeezing out a "hmmmm..." as you start to browse the web looking for upgrades lol

Hello GTAForumers, I have a few questions about PC gaming. I'm fairly new to this stuff and am really interested.

 

1. I will be getting Call of Duty 4 for the PC today and I was wondering if to play Multiplayer (online) do I have to download any type of program (Such as SA-MP for San Andreas)?

 

2. How would I be able to create a name for myself? (Gamertag)

 

3. Is online-play free?

 

If I need to know more than what I asked for, post it. It would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking forward to playing with some of you in the near future.

It's like Counter Strike. Install the game (and punkbuster), enter MP mode, choose nickname, choose server and play. And of course it's free.

Ahh, that's why my old crappy Radeon 9250 helped me.I can enjoy games at 15FPS and above.

I've only just started playing TF2 again, so I have nothing. Hopefully I'll get some cool stuff in this update, I'm looking forward to checking it out. If nothing else you've gotta say Valve are dedicated to keeping stuff coming, in TF2 at least anyway. Now we just need Episode 3 and I can die happy.

You could quad wield them all and be a force to be reckoned with. I only got one unlock, which is the Jarate. Team Fortress 2 is my current favorite game, and it makes me rage that I can't get any new weapons for the Spy which I have 100+ hours in game with. They should be fixing the system soon though.

I haven't really had a good experience with TF2, I just don't find it enjoyable. I find CoD 4 a lot better, of course you can hardly

compare the two games.

It's fixed now, they added milestones. Easy ones to boot.

 

I now have multiples of every new item except for that Jar-uh-tee. It's all I'm missing. I'll stick to the Razorback anyway, the spies all avoid the Razorbacks.

I'm still playing Drakensang. It's quite enjoyable. There are some minor quirks in the game, but all in all it's very enjoyable. The only gripe I have with the game would be some hard battles that stand out a tad too much because the game generally isn't that difficult.

 

Anyway, for any Italians among you, what's up with Italian cuisine?

A press release issued by EA, APB's recently announced publisher, indicates that the game will only be released for PC. The release window was also announced as early 2010.

 

 

APB is a "new breed of online game" where players assume the roles of either enforcers or criminals in a persistent city environment. Be sure to check out the E3 2009 trailer which showed the first in-game footage for APB.

It is low budget but it's pretty fekking far from a low budget game.

No, far from it (luckily). It's more like an old skool RPG, with a hint of fresh air. They redesigned the leveling, health and magic system and composed a nice mixture.

Speaking of Oblivion, I got it yesterday. I put everything on ultra high and put bloom and 8x AA, still got 30-60 FPS. I have this on 360, but the PC version is so much prettier.

Hah, I can run Oblivion on highest at 30FPS exact, I can't wait until my next Graphics Card upgrade (Probably getting a HD5870x2 or GTX 380), I'll max every good and fun to play game out.

Not to mention that it doesn't have the insane lag of the 360 version. The only thing I didn't like about Oblivion and to a certain extent Fallout 3 on PC is that, to me anyway, regardless of high fps, it always looks jittery. But they both are really beautiful games on the PC.
