I play everything. It's just Minecraft is something I play when I'm too lazy to play BFBC2 or its really late or something. tounge.gif

Now I'm peaking at 64C with Linpack on silent mode (linpack is more stressing than Prime). It's so unimaginably great having a quiet PC.

my pc used to be quiet but it's loud as f*ck now, maybe its because i've only got 80gb free space on my hard drive or something.

you could be right, I'll have a look

This f*cking terrible save system on op flashpoint just makes me mad, I like it apart from that. Whenever I die I get put back to the previous checkpoint which I completed ages before the part where I died suicidal.gif

I hated the whole game. Especially the mouse acceleration/lag and the long walks with infrequent checkpoints. I couldn't even complete the demo it was that bad.

Finally! Most infamous wanted DLC - Minerva's Day - coming to PC on May 31!!! Congrats to brave developers and programmers from 2K Marin. That was quick. (only 9 months after console release)

We gladly will pay you, 2K, 800 MS points so you can mess with DLCs even more in the future.

After watching the TV special "Killing Osama bin Laden" I needed some special forces action. The problem is, no game has accurately portrayed the special forces. No game except, the original Rainbow Six series. I dug up my old disc and popped it in. The gameplay of this game holds up to any CoD or BF game, at least when talking single player, and it's 12 years old. I played the first mission a dozen times, tweaking my plan every time I lost a man, or didn't pull it off.

Not that I don't like the fast paced action of Vegas, but the planning and strategy parts of this franchise make it great. Even though I wont be able to play it on my current PC, I hope the next game they release for this series brings back the strategy.

I saw an ad which reminded me of this LA Noire game that Rockstar are publishing. I wondered to myself, "Is it coming out on PC?" Then I remembered, "Oh that's right, Rockstar sucks balls."

I did read an article which where Rockstar was peddling their normal tripe about not having plans for the game "at this time" etc etc. Included with the tripe was the unusual claim that developing the game would cause too many compatibility difficulties.

Now, unlike Grand Theft Auto, LA Noire is not an original PC game, I'll admit that. There's no fanbase to respect or spit-in-the-face-of, but surely, if you're (pretending to be) at the forefront of technology and cutting edge gaming experiences, you would develop for the latest computer technology...not 7 and 8-year old technology such as that found in the consoles.

It's a good thing that Rockstar isn't in the film industry. Imagine that! Avatar 2 or Star Wars: Episode 7 ... filmed on VHS-C cameras.

To be fair though LA Noire isn't developed by Rockstar, they published it sure but Team Bondi made it. I know what you mean though, its still a game under the fist of Rockstar so yeah continue!

And if they did put it on PC you would just complain that it was a stupid port and not worth your time.

No, Mkey and CreepyCharlie that would be doing the crying, whining and non-stop bitching in that regard. Most people have legitimate desires to play games when they come out, regardless of awkward optimization.

If they brought it to PC in a piss-poor manner with bugs and performance issues, then they deserve to be slammed for it.

Granted, it was developed by some Australian developer (Team Bondi), but with Rockstar pulling the strings (and who knows what else), it's no surprise it's the same old console-whoring, "money > gameplay" philosophy that's at play here.

LOL it never ceases to amaze me that people are still upset that a business acts like a business.

Rockstar is doing nothing that any other company wouldn't do.

Rockstar really do know their stuff when it comes to bringing in the big bucks. They're better than almost everybody else in the business at it. What I've been saying for many years now is that Rockstar is not a lousy business...just a lousy game developer and publisher. Maybe they can prove me wrong if/when they port LA Noire to PC, but I'd almost put money on it being bug-ridden, poor-performing bloatware.

It's not a matter of perception either. If something performs poorly at medium graphical settings on a Core i7 with a mid-to-top-end video card, then it's a crap port. Simple as that. If they can make it well, then it will perform well, and we'll all have absolutely nothing to complain about.

We have to see the port first, and that's a stretch at the moment.

LOL I don't have to see any port. This is exactly why I got a PS3 it put a load off my mind and as much as I love my PC sometimes its just not worth the headache. I rather enjoy the games then cry about what platform their on.

Name-calling is a sign of weakness and surely doesn't make your argument any stronger.

Drop the flame-bait and stick to facts and opinions.

Thank you.. monocle.gif

People who actually played R* games are laughing at this statement. "money > gameplay" fits Activision.

For R* it's "gameplay --> money".

No such thing as name-calling when polls of popular opinion validate the title.

The point is though, a crap port is better than nothing, because it shows us that the companies at the very least consider us a minimally viable market or have some modicum of respect for the fact that PC gamers are gamers too.

And as long as players keep reporting the problems I'm sure they get fixed. I mean, GTA IV is now quite stable and bug fre-

Well, less buggy.

It may be a complete slap in the face to PC gaming, but I think they may only be doing this to convert PS3 gamers. Ha.

Also, I ordered Fable 3 today, people are saying its a great game on PC and as promised is the complete opposite of a port. I can't wait for it to arrive.

Or does it only apply when you are openly trying to insult me ? I haven't bothered with this topic for months yet you still cannot resist an opportunity to insult me. Just what is your problem ? I am not even involved in this argument you are trying to start up but you still have to drop my name. If anyone is behaving "creepily" here it is you since you have some strange obsession with me.

Rockstar aren't bad developers, but they make some stupid business decisions.

Why not make games for PC? Optimize engine correctly and you'll make a lot more profit.

Too hard? Hire better coders.

Theres a few companies who make the choice to put the player ahead of raw profit. And a certain amount manage to do both quite effectively.

Just a difference in priorities I suppose, but saying that R care more about the customer than other companies is flat out wrong.

So, The Witcher 2. I thought you of all people are gonna talk about that rather than bitching about some PC ports. I have the game and it's awesome. There are some performance issues and memory leaks but the patch is coming next week and soon ATI hotfix for The Wither 2. Before the memory leak the game actually runs great on my PC on medium settings and it still looks better than most games out there.

Have I mentioned how awesome the game is? The story is so deep and immersive and gameplay is amazing. On normal difficulty this game is harder than many RPG's on their highest difficulty. Or maybe I just suck, I don't know. I'm having a blast with this game.

I have nothing to add to this, but I want to thank you for posting something that wasn't a complete bitchfest, which seems to be the trend here.

Anyway, I've got Portal 2 installed, but I've got to figure out decent settings to use before I really get into it.

Finished The Witcher 2. I'm disappointed that it had to end. Such a fantastic game. Anyway I immediately started another playthrough. There are 4 different beginnings and 16 endings (or so I've heard) and I actually missed an entire city on my first playthrough. Choices are not obvious like in Bioware games. There is no right and wrong, at least not with an immediate effect which is a good thing. Choices carry real weight and most of the time, if not always, they're not obvious. You never know what may happen next. Even simple side missions can turn out very differently depending on what you chose to do, and there are plenty of choices. I need a new GPU to run this baby with ubersampling.

I got the itching for exploration RPGing so I'm installing Oblivion for like the 28th time lol (don't know why I bother uninstalling it) With Fallout 3 and New Vegas already on here I probably look like a Bethesda fanboy............. I think I am lol.

I think you need a console.

Jus' sayin.

I was really considering The Witcher 2, I will eventually get it but I'm not sure on timing. My question was, how important is playing the first to "get" the second? I will probably get it anyway and play it first, as it simply pisses me off to play sequels before the first games.
