I just read the comments and grades on meta-critics. Weather the game is good or not isnt the issue, but 95 percent of the people that rated 1 and 0 say f*cking retarded sh*t. Whats up with that?

And yes, the STalingrad mission in Cod1 is probably the best cod single player mission ever.

The new Call of Duty games aren't that bad.

I still prefer the Soviet Campaigns in the first couple games though.

Black Ops should be called MW3. Same missions, same scripted action, same bullsh*t as in MW2. Only story is better.

3,3 is too low. I'd give 6-7/10.

P.S. User scores on Metacritic fail in most games.

http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/assassin...ii/user-reviews

Let's rate all games that have DRM 0/10 then. Punks. AC2 is a charm and probably the only 2010 sequel which isn't disappointing.

Modern Warfare 1 had a great campaign though. Doesn't get much better than 'All Ghillied Up'. icon14.gif

Let's throw in Eder Dam, Alps Chateau Rescue, Battleship Tirpitz and the Stalingrad level from the Original COD's shall we?

Or what about the assault on Foy level from United Offensive?

yep the pinnacle of WW2 FPS and the best in COD series in my opinion. The Red Square mission opening was EPIC

Let's not go there.

That's why I posted that, it does seem a bit orchestrated. Usually those comments are fairly random, but not with Black ops, never seen such binary grades.

Here is a bit of interesting reading, it's a bit dry and the source is naturally biased in favour of the PC (Intel) :-

What’s interesting to see is just how much larger the PC base is than any of the consoles. To tell you the truth, I really hadn’t realized how large a difference it is until I put this chart together. Enthusiast PCs are 62% of the total market, and there are 4PCs out there for every Wii, 7 PCs for every Xbox360 and 8 PCs for every PS3. Wow.

Note that is ENTHUSIAST PC's not crappy intel gma equipped PC's owned by retards that keep going into the GTA 4 section asking if GTA 4 will run on it.

Today, PC gaming generates 43% of the total gaming revenue. The next closest platform is the Wii, which generated 24% of the total gaming revenue in 2009. And the PC share is growing – by 2013, the forecast is that PC gaming will represent 56% of the total pie.

You can read more here :-

http://software.intel.com/en-us/blogs/2010...-its-pc-gaming/

Anyway the next dick head that screams "PC gaming is dying lulz" tell them if PC gaming is dying then console gaming is 6ft under pushing up the f*cking daisies tounge.gif

that's an interesting fact, i kne there were more pc gamers but to have 8 pcs to every ps3 is quite astonishing

Honestly haven't heard "PC gaming is dying" for around a 1-1,5 years. Everyone calmed down.

P.S. PSP gaming is really dying though. cryani.gif

Maybe because Sony f*cked over their consumers, and the fact there is only one analog stick on the damn thing.

Well I know this is the moment you have all been waiting for. It's the 15th November 2010 a day that will live in infamy. Yes it is the new relaunched, better than ever, we will all go mad for it and drop steam relaunch of GFWL yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

CharmingCharlie watches the tumble weeds blow by

Go on trot over there and have a look and I guarantee you will laugh your arses off at the prices :-

I have seen cheaper deals at Christies of London.

I seriously don't believe the people at MS actually has a working bran... perhaps they hook them on drugs so they keep working?

That's the only explanation for that...

By the way, checked the prices of GOTY Arkham Asylum on Steam:

£14.99 on Steam, on GFWL; £29.99!!!  DEALLLLBREEAAAKER.

They must really be a bunch of retards if they expect people to use GFWL instead of Steam with prices like these.

Microsoft are useless, they're sinking their own console with Kinect, lack of exclusive games and Xbox Live subscriptions, and they're sinking their 'share' of PC gaming with GfWL.

To be fair though however, some of the games are cheaper on GFWL; although like I said, GFWL is a dying breed, there are few games that would be cheaper, I'm talking about the fairly old but awesome games like Tomb Raider and Hitman. BioShock 2 is quite a bit more on Steam, £21.99 on Steam, on GFWL £14.99.

Ah, yes, but do Microsoft have constant sales on GfWL every week? wink.gif

I dunno guys my initial scepticism may have been wrong, I mean I just cannot pass up the deal on Batman AA. I need your help which should I buy :-

Batman AA GOTY Edition = £29.99

or should I get

Batman AA = £34.99

(for those that might not have caught on, GFW are selling the bog standard edition of Batman for £5 more than the GOTY edition).

Ah MS they are always good for a laugh that's for sure.

I'm guessing the GfWL department of Microsoft is run by 12 year olds?

Jesus christ, how incompetent can you get?

Immediately spotted 007: Blood Stone for £39.99.

Checked Steam, price is £29.99.

I do not think I will be using this service.

Some prices are ridiculous, some aren't.

I assume if you've bought the game (even if it's an old game) from there you need to run it through Live?

No, it's just the retail version. Meaning once it's downloaded and installed you don't need the marketplace running.

Wow. So what's wrong with Live then? If old games like GTA, PoP etc. are DRM-free then it's better to buy these games on Live, than on Steam.

I'm puzzled as to how Steam's "DRM" affects anyone in any way.

Granted you have a PC which is from at least 2000 it shouldn't get in the way, saying Steam is "DRM" is a stupid complaint.

Even though by all technicalities, it is, it's very un-intrusive.

94 games in total, don't know if there is any region filtering. Since GFWL gies me $ prices, I lifted the same from Steam. Some games are not available from Steam, so I used closest matches.

If we ignore all the games that are not present on Steam and take the full price for 5 GFWL titles that are currently discounted, for remaining 72 games we get

GFWL Steam
Total price $1834.28 $1689.28
Average price $25.48 $23.46

So, not that big difference, GFWL being a few percent more expensive, but with some titles that really stand out, like the Standard Batman AA edition and some crappy games like Section 8 or Vancouver 2010.
