And GTA3 refuses to get past the first cutscene, I checked the GTA III forum and Google for about an hour before giving up, nothing specific comes up for what I'm getting.

What would be the point in pirating a game which is based almost entirely on multiplayer through Steam?

sorry couldn't resist that. To be honest I don't know what my local games shop looks like. I haven't been in a games shop in over 10 years why on earth would I go into a games shop since I have the net ? Any consumer goods I want are nothing but a mouse click away. If I want a new TV I buy of the net, new PC ? the net, new Thia ladyboy bride ? then naturally the net yet again.

 

The net is killing off Newspapers, Magazines and in the not too distant future probably retail as well. Hell I would probably do my grocery shopping by the net if the service wasn't so sh*tty and they don't fob you off with stuff that is 30 minutes before it's use by date. That is the real problem for game retailers, they now recognise that and have started their own DD systems but they are basically bitching that steam got there first.

That's why I love PC, most kids don't make it to the good games, too busy with their xbawxes

GSС Game World’s holding a contest for the best quest ideas, and whomever comes up with the best idea, may get their quest creation put into the game.

The contest runs from now until March 1, and those interested are to post their ideas to the official S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Facebook group page.

This said, the developers “retain the right to change the quest looks or implementation, while preserving the key author’s idea”, with the names of the contest winners to be included in credits upon the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

Ouch. Haven't played it much (don't have my own copy, god no) but I would have thought it would be quite a bit better than Modern Warsh*t 2 with all the stuff Treyarch have claimed to "add back in".

Just because it has issues a couple of days after release does not make it a game as bad as they claim it is.

In all honesty Black Ops is a decent and pretty solid FPS game. Yes the campaign is exaggerated and yes the story will only appeal to people who like over the top action movies. But apart from that you get enough gameplay value out of it and the game itself (online/zombies) is well built.

 

Yes it has issues, but Fallout New Vegas is also 'riddled' with 'bugs' but that doesn't make the game bad in any way.

 

Modern Warfare 2 was a less than mediocre game (sh*tty is one of the best words). And the other Call of Duty's weren't from such great quality either.

3,3 is too low. I'd give 6-7/10.

Black ops is pretty good. Single player is decent and the multi is a definite improvement from MW2.

Ohh, f*ck. Nostalgia. The game that got me into PC gaming.

I wish I could play CoD 1 SP without any bugs again. It has some wierd compatability problems with Win Vista where scripted events won't happen,or loops such as in the 'Stalingrad' mission, where you line up to get a a gun (in which you always get a clip instead), you can't pass through the line, it just stops.

Multiplayer runs fine though. Too bad most servers are dying.

 

P.S. I never bought UO. Was it any good? I heard there were vehicles in MP.

yep the pinnacle of WW2 FPS and the best in COD series in my opinion. The Red Square mission opening was EPIC
