The Left 4 Dead series’ DLC “The Sacrifice” was released on PC today, free of charge. And to celebrate, Valve slashed 66% off the price of both games, which means that you can get them both for $10… or each for $6.79. The DLC on Xbox Live will set you back 560 Microsoft points ($7). So you can get THE WHOLE GAME AND ITS DLC for cheaper than what you pay for just the DLC on Xbox live;

It's funny because it's true. Yeah, PC gaming is a lot more expensive :gutted:

I don't find it funny that our peers over at xbox have to pay extra for same or (usually) worse content - it's not like they don't want to pay, they obviously do, it's their choice.

 

What gets me is when you have some smartass marching in about how PC's cost $10000 and how PC gaming is dead and how console gaming is a LOT cheaper. A PC about 3 times faster then any console is about two times more expensive these days. I shall not mention the reliability factor or the functionality difference. You don't get to pay extra sh*t on the PC. PC games are usually a lot less expensive. So, whenever there is a glaring proof like this that PC gamers have some things better, I gloat a bit. f*ck yeah.

Thought I would chuck this in here, it's something I came across today. Now it may be old news but there is always the chance someone hasn't heard about it.

 

If you have an Nvidia graphics card then you can get a couple of games for free off steam. Don't get too excited you probably have most of them already but you might not have Half Life 2 - Deathmatch. Anyway the link is here :-

Half Life 2 isn't free. It's just deathmatch that's free and it isn't that good. Also there is another demo level that's free but it serves to show how HDR looks on Source engine.

HDR is one of my least favourite post process filters on an FPS game; aside from extreme LDR (bloom).

Well, in fact it was going at the fastest download speed I ever get on my comp, wich is just a crappy 105ish kb/s...

My internet just went into major sinkage now tho... Damn isp, they even said they doubled the speed for all of their customers... and it's just as crappy as ever... especially around peak time...

are they just deliberately trying to piss pc gamers off, i haven't played bioshock 2 but it annoys me that they just go ahead and make patches for the console games and just ignore the pc version when they know that there are problems with the game

f*ck the world! Jordan is in NBA 2k11!!! I gotta get that game. Jordan is my all time favorite basketball player. Heck, he's my favorite athlete of all time. BioShock 2 on PC was decent port and I'm surprised they've manged to release it simultaneously with consoles. Now they "don't have the time". Yeah, they need to throw another stupid shooter called XCOM ASAP.

I don't have a problem with her, she's doing her job, people running public relations always take the flak because it's their job to do so. Putting the blame on her and even associating her with the decision to not release a patch is beyond f*cking idiotic. She didn't make the decision, she only informed the community of it.

 

Ever hear the timeless phrase, "don't shoot the messenger?" She only relayed the news to the community; if anything, nail 2K Marin's corporate offices to the cross, since it was their decision to not release a PC patch, not some low level PR officer.

I never said I hate her, I'm just sick of her way she does what she does. She's always "just doing her job" and idly moving on as if nothing of substance has happened and everything is just perfect. I guess working in PR sucks ass.
