Yes we need more GTAF PC gaming events... team up in TF2 and other awesome online games.

 

Also Medal of Honor will be the only 'mainstream' FPS shooter that delivers both a fun and fast gameplay experience that stays 'true' to the facts/keeps it authentic. I'm glad for that and I've pre loaded the beta over here aswell.

 

@ Oldage: you'll probably run it fine maxed out... I can max the game in DX9 with smooth frames on 1980/1020...

I think pretty much every Steam person here has HL2: DM thanks to that free combo... right?

Perhaps we could do something there...

 

Still, we got the issue of ping, since a lot of you live in Europe, and some people like me get a 300+ ping to EU D:

 

Perhaps we could do meetings in those free games that roam around steam...

And if we play alien Swarm I call dibs on Crash

I've played on some East Coast CoD4 servers where Euro-folks were getting some decent pings, so something around that region might be a good idea to look into. Was playing with some Armenians and Russians the other night who were getting Pings of around 150 or so, which is pretty damned decent considering it was a US server.

It's still playable, believe me, I get by with 200 on a daily basis plus lagspikes... damnit I hate my ISP, they were supposed to upgrade the internet this year...

It's what you're used to, I find it horrible. Ping nearing 100 is terrible in my opinion.

Believe me, up to 300 it's still playable, you don't want to see a 900 ping, as long as you can walk and hit your oponents, it's fine, but around 900 you can't even walk...

150 for me is decent. Upper limit is 200. 300 is "f*ck this sh*t". And the average is around 75 I guess. Much lower when playing on servers close to me.

My ping averages around 100 most of the time, sometimes it's as low as 45 and other times it's through the roof at around 300 (that's when I decide I can't play with it like that and leave it).

Anyway, Steam should really introduce some option not to store your goddamn info. Like GOG, which doesn't store sh*t.

Lets say you used one card this morning to purchase something. Then you want to use another card to get something else. Go to checkout, choose "purchase for myself" if you are doing so, then on the confirmation screen you will have "Payment method: <some card> ending with <4 digit number>". To the right there is a "change" link, click that and chose a new card.

Medal of Honor runs really well on my computer (>60fps on max graphics 4xaa; as a pose to 35fps avg on BFBC2), I wonder why Quad is recommended.

Nice, no crashes in any way? The current beta is terrible compared to the previous one... atleast that version allowed me to play half an hour/an hour before crashing (if it crashed). Now it crashes after half a minute OR if I'm playing terrible after a couple of times of getting spawnkilled.

 

Let's hope the final version won't be that terrible...

Hasn't crashed once for me in my 5 hours of play time on it. The only problem I've encountered with it is it sometimes disconnects me and I have to restart the game to log in again. o_O

Well for me it constantly crashes, no matter what settings and what Direct X rendering mode.

 

And so far, after checking the forums numerous times I seem to be one of the only people who has this issue.

Anyone know why the hell I am only seeing this when I open up CCC? I've tried everything. Reinstalling the drivers, system restore, driver cleaner etc etc. Seriously is starting to piss me off. Only happened a couple of days ago; however when I system restore it causes my computer to crash with no cause.

System restore is bullsh*t imo and I never use it. Used it a few times back in the day of XP and it removed files on random, even from my documents

 

Did you try installing an older version of CCC? Or, even better, something useful like ATI Tray tools.
