Fallout DLC's are worth the dough... Modern Warfare 2 "DLC" (sh*tty mappacks) are NOT.

 

Having free DLC for Left 4 Dead 1/2 is brilliant and awesome, having a game butchered and sold into bits and pieces (under the name of "DLC") is pure ripoff.

 

Where are the days of expansion packs? I mean, jesus f*cking christ is it that hard to make decent expansion packs for games... specifically FPS games? There's no f*cking need to ask 15 dollars for a sh*tty ass mappack. I remember paying 30/25 euros for Call of Duty: United Offensive and having more than my money's worth out of it.

 

Oh wait I know... it would be too hard for consoles/console gamers AND it would be too fair/you'd get your money's worth out of it. Yeah ok go ahead, we don't need that. Butcher games into pieces and sell it to us. Or overprice ridiculous content.

I like the concept of gambling that the new Call of Duty's introducing. I think it could be interesting to see if more games will implement this in the future since I can't get CoD (bad gamer ethos, man). It's a shame Treyarch's CoDs don't get the credit they deserve because they lack futuristic weapons. Their games are usually the inventive ones, as far as Call of Duty goes.

Gronf is partially right. Treyarch actually had the balls to throw in Zombies... they had the balls to start with Co Operative gamemodes/gameplay in a Call of Duty game (zombies and campaign). They also added vehicles again (tanks, but due to the lack of decent vehicle system... read consolised BS it failed).

 

Heck, this time they're doing Zombies again (and as they say improve on it), they added a currency system (gambling + 'wager modes'). Said wager gamemodes are new gamemodes (yes they took Gungame from the CS community).

 

But apart from that, Black Ops will feature 'futuristic' weapons. Or well, certainly for the era. If only there would be a team that'd make a decent and worthy Call of Duty 2 game (because the second one in the series blew/started dumbing down the franchise for console gamers and idiots who can't aim).

I serously hope Treyarch support us PC gamers with modding capabilities and dedicated servers; however leaning I am against on multiplayer since it makes people imf*ckingpossible to kill.

If they support modding they earn my respect... The thing is, modding stops the mmicro-DLC thing, since players can get small stuff for free, companies try their best to make decent/good DLCs to stand out

Just got it the other day, haven't played it yet as I've too many games installed at the moment

 

Went off a recommendation on another forum and, of course, after reading user reviews and such. Seems great, at the very least worth the $6.

Oh man, I remember Outcast. I thought it had the most realistic graphics ever. Technology is advancing too fast I'm actually surprised that we still don't have coda machines installed in our flying cars. I do enjoy a pineapple juice while driving.

Anyone read the F.A.Q. of the recent Mann Co update for Team Fortress 2? THIS is how developers should work... you get free updates (maps, gamemodes, fixes and whatever) and you can just keep on playing for free, worryfree. BUT! You CAN, if you really want, pay for items/content if you want to obtain them instantly. Also, because there are community made items, the original authors ("modders" actually) get a piece of the money made from it.

 

Totally fair, totally community and consumer friendly (note: modders are consumers themselves!) and there's nothing greedy about it. At first I thought we had to pay for the 'community update' packs from now on but I was wrong.

You should get in on the PC, if you're planning on getting it, as the graphics will be better and it's easier to aim with a mouse.

 

Medal of Honour looks brilliant for numerous reasons, namely the apparent focus on single player authenticity and a multiplayer which, to me, anyway, looks to surpass CoD 4's excellent Multiplayer by providing a realistic but simultaneously action-orientated game; thankfully a far-cry from Modern Warfare 2's twin-shotgun-totting, ludicrous gameplay.

How about a GTAF ventrilo or teamspeak? Seems we got a fair share of people here that play these PC games so I do not think getting donations would be much of a problem. I'd throw down a buck or two if it happens. A massive GTAF TF2 gaming spree would be pretty hot...
